There is really no perfect path. But what is important going forward is to protect the open and democratic system that we already have. The system is based on the constitution, bolstered by freedom of speech and freedom to choose. Despite that political leaders will continue to make blunders, selfish politicians will continue to mislead the people for their own profit, but as long as the system remains intact, the USA will self-correct and continue to be the shining city on a hill.
