This is meant to be more of a ritual negotiation, not a hard barganing session, but the friend will negotiate a price (cows, goats, money, etc.) and when done, the family now feels like the prerequisite amount of bartering has been done and they give the blessing during an all night party. From what I hear, it's a lot of fun (if you have a sense of humor) and meant to draw the families together as one to know they can trust you.

There's nothing like a woman scorned All my Madagascar assets everything is in my wife's name and all my UK assets are in my name when you get married in a Madagascar office they ask you to tick the box as to what will happen in a divorce I ticket 1/2 each. If you as the man do a traditional marriage as well its called a fumbergasy ( probably not the right spelling ) you can take the kids with you. She can eva divorcee nicely or she can lie and get you deported or she can poison you Best plan in Madagascar if you're gonna get married is to rent a house as there cheap, buy a cheap vehicle to travel round in and live your life day by day for the first few years imo

My brother made that mistake with a mexican woman my brother is from the USA. my brother had about 100k dollars in a shared account that he had earned himself and saved. The wife took him to the cleaners right before the divorce drained his entire account and was thinking about killing him. My brother was worth more dead than alive from that perspective. You never want to put yourself in that position. Don't buy property just rent, don't keep too much money in an account she can get access to and never tell her your worth in finance. That comes much later. Perhaps after 20 years of marriage and she has been a good woman to you. Best to find yourself a Good custodian that in case you die that person reveals your last WILL and testimony.
I was a bit upset to read the text messages on her phone from her long term boyfriend but I thought her out and moved on she took me to the local president to try and get me to hand over 50k of assets that where in my control but git nothing at all as I'm strong headed
