- This was one of the trips that we focussed just on targeting big galjoen. We knew exactly what bait to use, where and when to target them with huge success! Unfortunately we lost some really big specimen's and it just shows you again and again that this is one fish that just wont allow you to get them out quick and easy. This is also why i wrote a book (The Galjoen, Legend of the Ocean) about the Galjoen as its my most favourite fish to target. Although we got some BIG hidings we'll be back for more.
