So how come Scottish clubs had only won one European Cup up to that point & English clubs had won 11?? As well as English clubs being banned while at their peak in 1985 (winning it 7 of the previous 8 seasons, long before the riches of the EPL )

So many happy memories on that run to Seville 2003, but that Hartson goal at Anfield is still my favourite memory from that run. Admittedly up to that point I'd had quite a snobbish, 'meh' attitude towards Hartson - "he's not a proper Celtic player!" and all that nonsense (and I don't think I was the only one), but that goal, at that moment, and the fact it was totally not a Hartson-type goal, and the sheer delight and shock(!) on his face at scoring that goal totally changed my opinion of him. Always loved the big man since. Hail hail John! 🍀
