All these places are not newly acquired assets but left by the British raj army. They shifted to cooler climates to continue their military work. All pak army did was to maintain it. And they lease it out to raise funds for its maintenance. Many a buildings have tumbled for want of repairs. Case in point is khanas pur British military camp. Now mostly leased out to civilians.

Just visited for 2 days, Hut 3. It’s disgustingly dirty. Facilities and menu too basic. One toilet didn’t flush. Just 1 glass/room. Room service incredibly slow. Would never stay again. The hiking trail is pretty but very short- just 10-15 mins walk. The archery and shooting etc extremely expensive.

But no arrangement of flowers, grass & other scenic view if there is only mountain just no attraction
