This reminds me of the time I went down to this graveyard, and there was a shrimp store. I went in the shrimp store and it turns out it was a big cover up so the owner could murder shrimp! How unbelievable is that?!

I still think about how, in junior high, Mr. Kelly, our band director, says to Earl, "I've never seen anyone do that before." Earl was keeping time with his right foot on the 1-2-3-4 down beats and double tapping with the left foot. Later at East Jefferson High School, it was such an honor to play with someone of such great talent. His soprano sax solos were jaw-dropping, especially recall how he'd improvise on Chick Corea's "Spain". Wow. And, I can't mention EJ High and Earl without paying tribute to our late band director, Jay Haydel, or "Prof", who brought out the best in everyone he ever met. What an inspirational and motivation man he was. Read what people say about him:
I was at EJ with Mr. Clancy. We had a trumpet player, Murphy was his last name, that played great improvisation. Jay Hayden became the band director after I left. I think i was in the first Jazz band that we had.

Got to be with Earl in the University of New Orleans jazz band in the early 1980's. An amazing musician, and I love this version.
Of all the versions of Petite Fleur I prefer this the most. This clarinet is wonderful.
