Buccs were up 31-0 in the 4TH quarter with 12 minutes left and people were complaining about flags bruh it’s over ya done
Philadelphia got away with a lot in the second half, especially in the 4th quarter. There was a 3rd down screen that looked like a huge hold that wasn't called and the two-point conversion was not a clean catch and honestly did NOT survive the ground. I would call it a catch but by NFL rules it wasn't. It wasn't even reviewed.

@@encycl07pedia- that roughing the passer call early in the game was certainly not a penalty, and the holding call on Kelce on the Goedert screen also wasn’t holding. The late hit on Hurts also didn’t get called

Saw blocking in the back wasn't called either on the Eagles. Both teams had penalties not called but Bucs played much better. 31-0 in the 4th quarter can't be blamed on just penalties lol. Hurts is just a bad QB in general

This guy is from some other planet..mid 40's, best yardage output of his career, still hungry & leading the Bucs into yet another Divisional round weekend. No, he is not from another planet. He's in an NFL that created an atmosphere for him to succeed. It begins with pass protection with blocking by forming a wall in front of him so that he can step up and set then throw. Teams are not able to get pressure up the middle to disrupt Brady's progressions. Of course, like most teams, his offensive lineman hold but get the benefit of blocking for Brady meaning few if any calls at all. Add great wide receivers and one of the best TEs in football to throw to and you move the ball at will. Additionally, you cannot play too tight coverage or risk be called for holding or pass interference. The league will not allow him to take hits like other QBs do. You risk fine and dismissal from the league if you hit Brady hard like you can do to other QBs. For example, the league allowed Cam Newton to be punished by defenses the year after his MVP and SB run. When he threw the ball the defense always hit him after the ball was thrown but NO whistle from the refs. After a year of being hit and smashed by defenses without any protection by the league, Cam needed multiple surgeries to repair his beaten up body. So in contrast, the NFL created an atmosphere to insure the failure of Cam Newton or at least damage his effectiveness due to injury, hence, ending any real prospect for longevity.

The Eagles showed today exactly why you shouldn’t rest your starters for the last game even though you have nothing to play for. Football is about rhythm and timing and you could tell today that not playing the starters last week hurt their timing. The Bucs have played subpar defense all season long and the Eagles made them look like the 85 Bears today.
They should have played starters if they were healthy. I can see if they're injured, but if they're fully healthy...why not? Just make sure to tell them to be careful during the game.
This is probably the healthiest game the Bucs defense have fielded.
All year the defense never had all 11 starters playing at the same time.
That is a good point. The Panthers made the same mistake in 2015 in Falcons game and they lost the game and their winning streak at 15-0. That broke the magic fo the season which led a very bad defeat in super bowl.

Wirfs was benched. He tried to come back and just couldn't put weight on his ankle. He was ruled out and the Bucs will have to see how bad his injury is. He might not play next week if it is bad enough. Jensen came back in and played the rest of the game I believe.

The most important stat is how much points per game your defense is giving up

This game shows the importance of scheming guys open and putting the ball into the hand of your playmakers which the bucs are great at. I don’t think the eagles would have won but it would have been more interesting. Devonta smith should have been getting screens, reverse handoffs, rub routes, etc things that put the ball in his hands and give him a chance to make a play. Tampa bay does it all the time screens for Godwin, brate, fournette, or the occasional reverse for Evans or Godwin, easy slants for the shifty guys. Sometimes the scheme is as simple as get that guy the ball and let him work

Well their defense blitzed almost all game so our OLine couldn't stop them every time. Brady made them pay many more times on those blitzes though. He could have ran that score up there near the end.
That's why Tampa is the perfect fit for him. Give him a good O line and he's always elite. The day he loses his Left Guard is the day he retires.

this was a very underwhelming game. however, regardless of who the eagles beat to get in the playoffs this year, i don’t think anyone expected them to get in the playoffs including me. ive been impressed with the growth of this team and how they’ve matured as the year went on. i hope they will bounce back and grow even more next season. ive had alot of fun watching these guys and im not even an eagles fan.
