So glad to get personal profiles of Titanic people and just found your channel August 29 2024. loved the stories and the two single woman I never saw before but the married yes.
Ida Straus’s husband was offered a place too in a lifeboat (because he was elderly), but he refused to leave the sinking ship while there were still women still onboard
Stumbled upon your channel today........AND I LOVE IT !!! HA HA HA ! Very interesting, informative, and detailed descriptions of every person you spoke of. 👍 Thanks for the Great video !
Your channel popped up on my feed, and I’m something of a Titanic buff (I hate the term Titaniac). Really enjoyed this. Well-researched, entertaining and informative. Thanks!
correction: Lorraine Allison is the only child of first-class passenger who died, they are no death on these children in the second class, all survived.
Great video. Enjoy your videos. I knew about the stories of Ida Strauss, the Allyson family (the whole Allyson family is full of tragedy) and Edith Evans. I had never heard of Ann Ishum. There is a good book (I own) abt the survivors by Andrew Wilson. I’m actually reading it again right now.
I recently did the museum at Branson and they portrayed Bess Allison as arrogant for not getting her and her daughter on the ship. My dad was a 3rd class passenger nicknamed Gus-Gus who really lived 9 lives in the years after the sinking. I can’t think of his last name. But it was a Jewish 3rd class passenger. Gus was what he went by. I believe his last name started with a C. Ida’s great-great granddaughter’s husband was killed on the Titan.
Its always made me sad they basically died in vein :( ... But as i mentioned in my reply above. Thats why I believe Macy's has survived. Strong roots. The spirit of the Strauss couple lives on every Thanksgiving and Christmas parade. Every Macy's Christmas walk through display
Shame that all 4 women's first-class passengers didn't survive, hopefully, they tried to survive on the boat but didn't, these four ladies died in disgraced or heroes like these men in the first class give up their lives.
@@Richardsonprincess00Lorraine Allison was a little girl on first class and she also died. She was the only first class child to die. She is often counted among the first class women who died because genetically that’s what she was.

I always thought that's why Macy's survived and stayed great. Strong foundation. Strong roots

Ida’s great-great granddaughter’s husband was killed on the Titan.
Yes - she’s the widow of Stockton Rush, the owner and CEO of OceanGate.
I'm interested in any info of Charles Gracie of the titanic
I believe you mean Archibald Gracie. He died about months after the sinking.

I guess technically 5 first-class women died that night since little Lorraine died too.
Four, not five

She's counted as the only 1st class child who died
