    I love your videos, Courtney. You always have really good content and advice. I don't normally like to do this, but because you were struggling to think of other channels that have low porosity, I fit it that category. I make wavy/curly content and release a video every week as well.
    I've mentioned you several times and sent some subscribers your way and will continue to do so.
    Also, I love Marisa's Curls as well. She's great. 💕

    Just picked up the CurlSmith Defrizzion hairdryer because of your recommendation and I'm in LOVE 😍 It's perfect for people with "sOoO much hair!!" - it legit covers 1/3 of my head and has cut my drying time by about 10 minutes. The diffuser design makes up for the heat limit by keeping the air swirling inside the massive bowl and my hair already looks healthier for it. 10/10 would recommend!

    Love it haha, and great perspective on need vs want. It's super nice to have a fancier dryer, but certainly fine to use lower-cost methods, especially when someone is experimenting or new to styling their hair! That was basically me last year when I got back into diffusing (having been without a hair dryer for over ten years) and now I'm finally getting to a point where I know what I'm looking for and feel confident enough to spend a bit more than

    Love the new intro! I thought my hair was high porosity for almost 2 yrs & I finally did test a naked strain of hair, after clarifying & deep condished with a heated cap, which I finally got & sprayed water on it & seeing the droplets just sitting on the surface for the longest time! 😯 I was so surprised to find out it's low porosity!

    Sometimes my hair is straight and so frizzy/poofy and sometimes it’s a nice 2a beachy wave and it’s rare to get 2 wash days in a row to be decent 2a waves. Any advice on that?
    This past week I’m on my 2nd wash day with my waves (not as tight as the first which I expected just cause my hair is that way and I did diffuse on high heat bc I didn’t have time to diffuse for 30 minutes. (Only had 10 minutes)) it frustrates the crap out of me.
    I also recently started using hairtage protein treatment every wash day for almost 2 weeks now and it was like an immediate difference from straight to wavy

    My Dyson that I’ve had for 6+ years kicked the bucket today. Not sure what I’m going to replace it with. I’m definitely not spending 500 bucks on a new hair dryer. Any suggestions?

    I’ve been watching your videos all day. I am 52 years old and I must color my hair or I have a ton of greys.. I’m too young for that!!! But I do have naturally curly hair that is somewhat like yours. I’m just now learning how to embrace the curls and I’m looking for a more simple way to just wash my hair and let it be natural. Some days I have great curls. Other days (like today) it looks dry and it’s not evenly curled. I’ve purchased the microfiber head wrap and I tried Lo-Poo Deva Curl.. (That’s going back to Ulta as soon as I can get there because I think that’s the reason my hair looks so bad today! Like straw!) I’ve just ordered the Shea Moisture line of stuff to see how that works because I absolutely loved your hair in that video. Do you have any recommendations for someone older that must dye their hair? I don’t dye often.. Maybe 2 times a year? 3 times at the most. I also just ordered the silk pillowcase and I usually do tend to wear my hair up when I sleep because I get too hot (good old menopause) Any advice would be appreciated. Oh and I will be doing the Suave clarifying shampoo and a deep conditioner very soon..

    I've learned a lot from you (thank you!), and will continue watching you. But my wavy hair is short (3"-4"), and I struggle to figure out how to adapt and modify some techniques to my shorter hair. I haven't found very many curly/wavy RUclipsrs that address shorter hair. Do you have any recommendations to other YT influencers who focus on shorter length hair? (I have IG but find that I just never really use it.)

    I am so tired of the sulfate free craze....it makes my hair dry. My dermatologist said sulfates are fine..people just hear that an ingredient is bad and everyone believes it without researching it.
    My scalp does not feel clean if I do not use a sulfate shampoo. I also need silicones for my curls...they do not look good without them.

      You're probably not brushing your hair, except maybe on wash day? However often you do it? I find that I shed a bit more, esp. when I don't wash my hair for a couple of days. Unless you're losing like handfuls, I'd say it's pretty normal. I believe you shed like 50-100 strands per day.

    Have you seen the new shark blow dryer/styler?? It's similar to the Dyson air wrap, it has 5 different attachments including a diffuser!! 😱 I've been intrigued by the Dyson and shark dryers as well as the air wrap. They're all so expensive that I couldn't justify getting one but the fact that this new shark styler also has a diffuser is an absolute game changer

    • @aprilalfaro2995
      @aprilalfaro2995 Год назад

      Also, a disclaimer that my already lose waves have loosened up even more to the point that they're basically non existent and I have straight hair so I don't mind straightening or (most often) curling my hair if I have some fun plans which is why I was interested in the air wrap in the first place. I do still try to diffuse every couple weeks just to see if I can get any of my wave to come back so the diffuser attachment on this tool would be perfect for me

    • @emilyjensenius4289
      @emilyjensenius4289 Год назад +1

      There's a yeast that lives on the scalp and feeds on scalp oil. It can cause itching and flaking for some people (this is usually what is meant by "dandruff" not dry skin flakes.) A dandruff shampoo with zinc pyrithione can cut down on the yeast population and the oiliness. You may also want to avoid oily products. I used to scratch a ton and get really bad breakouts but it's way better now. Even still, I usually wash at least every 3 days just to keep my skin healthy. The folks who can go longer either aren't very oily or they're not bothered by the yeast. Two other suggestions are to help your skin barrier by washing with lukewarm water (not hot!!) and get the shampoo right down to your scalp but use a silicone scalp brush or your fingertips, not your nails. Hope this is helpful!

    • @SwavyCurlyCourtney
      @SwavyCurlyCourtney  Год назад

      Yeah... the longest I can go is usually 3. I have to wash every 2/3 days. That being said, maybe try changing up products to see if that is what making you head itch. It's no fun!
