same, I managed to read a total of four books throughout 2016. Demigods and Magicians (crossover book between percy jackson and kane chronicles) what we saw cursed child trials of apollo-the hidden oracle
First off you look so pretty. I'm loving the hairstyles. I've started off the year with the Infernal Devices trilogy. Read Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince. Currently reading Clockwork Princess. Definitely wanna read The Magnus Bane chronicles since I adore him so much in the show Along with that, definitely wanna read Cinder and Scarlet, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (I was suppose to get this book done last month but I checked out too many books from the library and brought too many home. Hopefully, I can squeeze all those reads
I just started the trilogy!!!! :D I'm looking forward to it, considering I didn't like the Mortal instruments :D But since people say its better, im optimistic:D
Saphire 257 I didn't read The Grisha series either so I know exactly what you mean. The parts where they're talking about being in the palace and stuff. But once you get past that and get into the book, you'll start understanding more. I think the beginning is to introduce you to the idea of what the different powers among them can do. I'm honestly not sure. Lol! Just keep reading and you'll get there :)
Wiesel's Night is an absolutely phenomenal story. I remember being in tears as I read some of the scenes and imagining his heartbreak. It continues to be one of my most favorite books.
I just finished Night for my English class. It is fantastic, loved it so much. Everything in it is written so well. BETWEEN SHADES OF GRAY MAN! SO GOOD!
This uploaded at a perfect time for me! At the same time you've had a reading slump, I've had a horrific writing slump but somehow hearing you talk about all these books inspires me to work on my second draft! Thank you!
Ruta Sepetys is such a talented author. I met her twice and did interviews of her, she's also so sweet and loves the BookTube community. If you want to learn more about WW2 you should also read her last novel Salt to the sea, it is heartwrenching and you get to know more about the conflict on the eastern side, between Germany and all the eastern countries and Russia.
I'm not really into sci-fi books but that Illuminae book looks very interesting. My TBR list is as long as ever, mainly cause I have a bunch of books to read for school too, so let's hope I keep motivated during the month and don't get in a slump. Good luck with your reading list though! May the odds be ever in your favour
I was in a year long reading slump in 2015 and then picked up reading again in 2016. So glad the reading slump passed. Good luck getting these books read!
Oh my god I'm so excited that you're gonna read Between Shades Of Grey!! The movie should be coming out soon and it's one of my favourite books. Beautiful. One of the only books that's made me sob.
You are going to absolutely love Between Shades of Gray, it's my favorite novel. It will tear your heart out many times but you'll fall in love with it anyway.
between shades of grey is my favourite book of all times. I've read it, like, million times and each time I reread it, I cry even more than previous time. Mabe I loved this book so much, because this subject is really close to my heart and to history of my country (I live in Lavia and this book is about thing that happened to all Baltic countries). Hope you love it, cause it's an amazing book!
the first tbr out of twelve for this year!! im so excited for this year, im so motivated to make myself a better person and follow my new years resolutions.

Between Shades of Grey is such a good book. I would almost argue it's even more important to read because it covers a time in history we often overlook in school. I really hope you like it. Happy 2017 and happy reading!
I really wish there was more Historical Fiction in YA- I love Night, The Book Thief, Salt to the Sea, but I still need to read between shades of grey! Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
So I've been forever obsessed in reading stories, biographies and the like, that relate to the holocaust and the struggles and strength of the people who endured through them. I'm curious, does listening to the audiobook downgrade the fun experience of reading those files and documents in the book? Or do you think its good as actually reading it? :D
Marina Li it really doesn't at all!! They have a whole cast of people reading and sound effects, which really make it fun. I didn't have the actual book in front of me but it still made it a great experience
