what size of rabbit bit with ball bearing did you use? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
The rabbit bit would be based on your binding thickness. the general gap will be about a 1/16" if that helps.
Wouldn’t the radius cause a problem when cutting the binding straight on the body like that?
I thought that it might but with such a small router base it actually follows the radius quite well. Any small imperfections were fixed with the scraping and sanding afterwards.
Stew Mac suggests using a small wedge on the router base that can help keep the bit vertical. This is in their kit instructions which are free online.
