Mariam and her team offer free neutering and vaccination campaigns to reduce the impact of free-ranging dogs on the wildcat populations. They have neutered more than 300 dogs and vaccinated over 600, and they plan to continue these efforts with your help.

But probably the one that we were not expecting
was the presence of a lot of free ranging dogs
and we we know that dogs are a problem in
as a species in the world.
I never like
until I saw it in my camera traps

like for each footage of Ignacio
we have like 60 registers of
of dogs. Wow!
So it is it was extreme
and nobody else was doing anything for the dogs.
I became obsessed with this issue
because there's so much evidence saying that
you know there's canine distemper
that can affect the whole population of the cats
even in the IUCN Red List assessment
there is a special like
paragraph saying
that an epidemic caused by dogs can be a problem
for the margays
so I was very shocked to see that
thought on how big this problem was.
For every margay we have
there was nothing in place for for this threat.
