There is no shortage of good ski advice on the net, but Bob is my 'go to' guy when considering a ski purchase. You can't go wrong listening to his comments about the pros and cons of various skis. He knows his sh.....skis.
What do you think of these as opposed to the e-Rally for a dedicated carving ski in Utah? I watched the in-depth e-Rally video from last year and it looks like a great ski! I like the quicker edge-to-edge that the Rally has, but I worry I'll need a wider ski for Utah groomers and want a longer turning radius. I already have a great all-mountain ski (Nordica Enforcer 104).
I think it's okay to go mid-80's for what generally is softer groomers. The narrower skis tend to cut through too easily when it gets soft, so I don't think there's anything wrong with going wider. You may lose some of that quickness, but overall it's likely a better choice. I'd also add the Volkl Deacon 84 or the Elan Wingman 86 CTi for wider frontside options.
They both feel like beefed-up race skis, but there's a noticeable difference with the Brahma 82 when it comes to off-trail and mogul performance. Since they're narrower versions of wider all-mountain and freeride skis, the Brahma 82 has a lot going for it in terms of versatility. Titan is happier on a groomed surface, even if that surface is a day old or so.
@@SkiEssentials thank you very much. So for short and long high speed turns, mostly on groomers, but also a bit off piste, you would recommend the titan?
Haven't skied the Porsche, but the Titan feels more planted on the snow than the AR. Amazingly, the AR is more versatile and I've had a lot of success and happiness on that ski when it comes to softer snow. Titan is much happier on groomers.

I guess this one won’t be good for mogul based on the shape of the tail? And blizzard anomaly might be a better choice?
Correct and yes--the new 84 is a fantastic mogul ski while still being a very capable carver.

How does it compare to the brahma 82?

How would these compare to the Montero AR or better yet, the Head Porsche 8?

Add the atomic Redster Q9.8 to the mix. The Redster and the Titan seem more like true carving skis. The AR seems more all mountain.

Hello, what are the differences with the 2023 edition ?
Just a very slight graphic update--nothing structural!
Thank you@@SkiEssentials
