What great finds from the flea market! I hate that I missed going, but now, I can live vicariously through you and see all the great stuff that was there! I also like the vendor at the very start of the market. He has some great bundle prices if you are willing to dig through the water in the totes and not afraid of the dirt, lol. I hope the Junk Hunt lives up to our expectations. We shall see! I hope I get to see you there! ❤
You got some neat pieces from the first guy, but that newspaper is awesome! If definitely put it in A plastic cover of some kind. Its so cool finding those kind of old pieces.. letters, newspapers, cards, the personal things. Love it!❤ You know i love all the milk glass🤍 and the chicken jelly mold! Girl I sure remember the old aluminum ice trays, i hated when the water froze over the handle because someone over filled it😄 I have the primitive tool box and been collecting old tools for it, looking for one of those carpenter rulers. Love old cabinet cards, any old photographs! Ohhh my goodness!! I call that the sled dough bowl😄 I told someone earlier that saw and pointed out one in the place they were shopping, that it was big enough for 2 people to sled in!! Humongous! I'd love to have one tho! I bet he was super excited! I've always heard those called chamber candlestick holders 🤷♀️ That gravy boat is gorgeous! I think that color & the purple are the 2 prettiest but hard to find colors! That's the kind of sifter my grandpa & uncle had when i was a little girl. They used it to sift the dry peas to separate the peas from the hulls at the end of the season. Used it over what we called a washtub, a big silver galvinized tin. Some people washed their babies& small kids in them long long time ago, why they called it a washtub. But You always find the best things, i can't find a sifter nowhere🫤lol guess I'm gonna have to come to your side of the mountains & shop with you!😄 Great haul as always & i love it all❤ TFS!
I still remember the day I brought home my large dough bowl.....it's been a special piece of mine ever since. I do stand it up in a corner beside my fireplace when I don't use it on my dining room table or other table top arrangement, but they also look very nice sitting on top of a cabinet. I think a dough bowl is one of those prim 'must haves'. Looks like you all had fun - it's so much fun to go treasure hunting.
