VA837 Approach and Landing Sydney 16R

Last part of Flight from Melbourne starting just south of Liverpool. A view of what looks like the new airport under construction, over Warwick Farm racecourse and Lake Chipping Norton, Prospect Reservoir, over the northern suburbs, over Chatswood and then a view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and the Sydney CBD, before landing on 16 right.

Sydney is huge, and still growing. Greater Sydney is physically larger than Greater London. A former governor, Governor Brisbane (yes, the guy the city is named after) was also an astronomer, and his Brisbane Catalog of Southern Stars lead to a large crater on the Moon being named after him. Little did those 19th century scientists realize that Sydney would eventually grow to be the same size as Brisbane Crater.
