I wish I'd have found you when I owned my business. You do awesome work - and I can imagine the cool products you could have engraved for me. Keep up the great work!
Hey Sam. Thanks for this video. I bought one of these a week ago and love it so far. you CAN actually adjust the focusing lasers to line up with the cutting laser. Remove two screws from under the head near the lasers. Slide the plate with the LED off (careful of the LED wires, and there you will see the laser mounts with the set screws. I only loosened the inner ones to move them. The only small side effect if there is a little hazing from the lasers on the bed but its minimal. This is caused from the thickness of the cover plate but there is no interference from it. Just thought youd like to know this :) keep up the good work. Dave
@@vrobert94 imo the software is fine. It's done everything I need it to. I don't see a need in spending $200 on Lightburn for galvos but it may benefit some

I just Ordered mine yesterday. Any tips on doing plastics the proper speed and power settings would be appreciated. Maybe some extra information on the software would be nice.
Just a quick note - 70mm is 2.75 in not 3.5 so the engraved area is smaller than you mentioned. Still can do coasters and such but only a 2.75 inch image on the larger surface. 90mm is more like 3.5 inches. The spec sheet you show at (9:48 says 7cm); the 2.76" they show is only true if you go out to 4 decimal places 🙂
Only for the small 7x7cm working area I'm forced to look elsewhere. I'm looking at ComMarker 20w with two Lens: 110*110mm 150*150mm working size! Do you have any thoughts on that? These are getting very useful but 70x70mm is just a little too small. 100x100 will do coasters and metal business cards. Will a different lens change to area?
Great job Sam! I am interested to get one Z5-1 but before I want to be sure to be able to use TCP control mark on the BslApp 5.2.6. Bet money it's not just a leadscrew, but also one or 2 linear rails inside that channel, especially with how sturdy it is. And NOW you've got 2 Galvo's, and here I'm stuck with zero, I'm definitely jelly, LOL.
I'd also suggest getting some coin blanks for testing on these things, I'd be interested to see how the Atomstack and the Genmitsu etch on those, how deep they'll engrave, etc.
Very interesting idea on the coins! I'll have to see about trying some out. Another channel I follow recently did a video on them and their US-based source. I'll have to comb my history to see if I can find it. :)

I manufacture OEM Safety Glasses for some of the biggest brands and sometimes they need a quick, logo'd, pair of eyewear as a sample. I have been looking for a solution. Thanks so much in advance!
Talk about timing! I was JUST about to buy an Atomstack based on you other video when I caught this one less than 10 minutes later. Now I have food for thought. Trying to talk myself into the $400 price difference and how that will pan out over time.
This link will get you 10% off any purchase from SainSmart (it's my referral link). 423sainsmartcom.refr.cc/samcraft I would say that yes, this machine is worth $400 more. The z-height alone is a great difference. But also the software experience is so much better, too. I'm planning a head-to-head comparison video between this laser and the Atomstack M4 very soon.
No doubt about it that is a neat little fiber laser. I have a Cloudray 50 watt that will engrave on a 11.5 x 11.5 inch area. I found out you can melt the heck out of slate so doing coasters I run the power way back and the speed way up. The laser rabbit hole is a lot of fun.

@samcraft I was thinking about laserengraving sunglasses. So the glasses themselfs, make custom logos etc. Do you think im better off with this machine or should I buy a Xtool F1?
I would buy the xTool F1. The laser head itself is very similar between the two, but the xTool accessories are what really set it apart. Check out my channel's newest videos to see the F1 in action.
I’d love one of these to use to engrave the circuit numbers on the outlet plates in my shop, but the price is a little much just to satisfy my finicky, organized self.😊

Very interested in this machine currently listed $500 off for this one purpose for work. Been following you for many years now, great site! Love your videos.
Got excited then saw the price, yikes! Maybe you need to do a best bang for the buck laser video or explainer on what drives cost of different laser types.
The price is steep when you compare them to other diode lasers, but nothing compared to other lasers that most engraving businesses are using... especially those of the fiber class (this is not a true fiber laser though).
They both essentially have the same laser capabilities, but this laser is much better than the Atomstack M4. I use this laser daily for my business. The only complaint I have with it is the small 70mm x 70mm working size. Otherwise it's great!
Interesting machine so much so that I've ordered one. I wonder how much power it will draw, maybe it could be used on an inverter at markets etc if shielded. adequately. I will probably review it on my channel at some point..
You're going to like it! I use it daily in my workshop for my small business. I'm sure the power draw is reasonable too. I've run my Ortur gantry diode and tablet from a small battery pack before.

I don't have plans to review the xTool F1 yet. I do have a cheaper fiber laser review coming up soon-ish... the ComMarker B4. I received it in my workshop about a week ago and am learning and using it now. The working size limitations for these smaller 1064nm units are their biggest drawbacks.

So, yet another 1064nm laser advertised as a "fiber" laser which is not. It is probably a DPSS laser, and similar to, if not the same as, Atomstack M4 and Enjoywood M4. The base and tower distinguish this machine, and also the shields, assuming the orange acrylic actually shield at 1064nm, which I'm a little wary of. It would be cool to see this machine lasering onto shield to assess the protection. Very interesting that the SeaCAD version is better.
