I'm 61 & have been a Quo fan since I was 10. Still have all the albums on vinyl & listen to the regularly. Quo are my happy place. Have been to every concert they had in Melbourne Australia. Thank you for posting this have watched it quite a few times now. The BEST live band in history, no one comes close. RIP Rick & Alan.🎸🎸🎸🎸🎵🎶🎶🎵
Yeah I am 61 as well and from Sydney. It is funny so many people around the world have disdain for the boys but they were absolute rock Gods in Australia through the 70s. And I agree absolutely my happy place.
I remember watching this concert for the first time back in 85 or 86 and now in 2022 and I'm still watching it like it was the first time, love it, maybe I'm going to be watching it the day that I die 🤘😀🤘
Long live Status Quo! My Dad introduced me to them when I was really young...first time I saw them was at City Hall in '91....still remember all of the words...R.I.P Dad! R.I.P Rick. 👍
The greatest sadness in the history of Rock is the demise of the THE FRANTIC FOUR, the greatest Rock Band in history. No matter what your bias or ignorance is, STATUS QUO are the most sincere and genuine and authentic Rock Band to plug in or hit a snare or cymbal. As the great John Lydon said in a BBC interview in 1977, the reason that THE SEX PISTOLS liked and respected STATUS QUO was because " they don't care what you think " Therefore, QUO's attitude defines what PUNK Rock is. There are some very intelligent musicologists who've drawn comparisons between The Ramones and STATUS QUO. This is due to the two bands creating their own brand and style that appears to be simple, yet is complex and unique. The demise of the Frantic Four has parallels to SPINAL TAP's. absurdity. When they reformed in 2013 and played sold out shows at Wembley Stadium, and other major venues, Francis ' Frame ' Rossi said that when they looked into the crowd they saw the toughest and hardest men and women openly and uncontrollably weeping as the greatest Rock Band of all time came on stage . For the first time since 1970, Rossi didn't say " ow are ya then, alright? " Which is his trademark intro. This was a very special and auspicious occasion in the history of the Universe and all the Gods were watching and listening. As the two greatest Guitarists and Bass player vocalists of all time conferred with the best swing/shuffle Drummer of all time, they launched into " Junior's Wailing " which knocked the first 50 rows back a metre. The Bass player and Vocalist that performed the vocals on the first 4 songs had multiple sclerosis, yet he gave the best performance of all 4 members. Within just a few seconds they launched into " Backwater/Just Take Me " a LANCASTER/PARFITT classic from their 1974 album called QUO. The crowd were exploding in rapture as the greatest Rock Band in history played the best riffs and rhythms ever heard. When Francis Rossi said " What can I say " Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan, the crowd went berserk, absolutely wild. He was talking about the Bass player and Drummer he had personally driven out of the Band in the mid-80's. Alan ' Nuff ' Lancaster on Bass / Vocals, John 'Spud ' Coghlan on Drums, Rick ' Reg ' Parfitt the best Rhythm Guitarist of all time / Vocals and Francis ' Frame ' Rossi the best Lead Guitarist of all time /Vocals otherwise known as The Frantic Four. Unbeknownst to all STATUS QUO supporters, we had no idea that when we heard " Pictures of Matchstickmen " in 1968, or " Down the Dustpipe " in 1970, that we were hearing the birth and fledgling sounds of the future No.1 Rock Band in history. if you ever want to meet the most ardent Rock Music supporters and you've got a few hours to listen, then have a chat with someone from the STATUS QUO army. Whether they are a Factory worker or a Lawyer, they'll give you the same reasons why STATUS QUO stand alone as The Greatest Rock Band of all time. RIP Alan Lancaster & Rick Parfitt
Alun, well said. I am also a fan of this great rock band, for over 45 years now. They are the best no one can ever come close to them or ever will! RIP Rick and Alan from me and all the millions of fans who love this fantastic rock band. We don't forget what you gave us, pure power and great spirit of rock music. The quo will never be equalled or even better forgotten!
Many Thanks - Great memories of the day A few tracks missing , but i'd forgotten how much a crowd used to bounce . Caroline, Paper Plane, Roll over lay down, Backwater, Just take me, Little Lady, Don't drive my Car, Whatever You Want, Mystery Medley, Hold You Back, Rockin'all over the World, Over the Edge, Dirty Water, 4500 Times, Big Fat Mama, Don't waste my Time, Roadhouse Blues, What you're Proposing, Rain, Down Down, Bye Bye Johnny.
Was at the Glasgow Apollo when they recorded the live album! Fantastic days. Reading the biogs, they were on their knees at this point, ( although you wouldn't think it!), a year later and Live Aid would just send them soaring again.
Just though I'd have a wee peak at this as couldn't quite remember the year, I was there and it was awesome, huge fan of Marillion and Nazareth too so I was in my element 🤘
Saw them in Birmingham in 1984 & then again at Milton Keynes - the most amazing atmosphere - so sad about Rick's passing. I don't think they will ever be surpassed as the greatest rock/pop band. They only made one mistake - 'In the Army Now' should have been 'In the Forces Now' - but nobodies perfect, Quo came pretty close though.
I must have watched/listened to EOTR hundreds of times and have always wondered if anyone had the whole show tucked away somewhere. Awesome to see this, hoping the rest of the gig will be uploaded sometime. Thank you for sharing...made my day!
This is magic to see, it's not something I ever thought would end up on RUclips!! Great to see how different parts are too thank you so.much for uploading 🙏. It would be great to see MFTR too!!
1:20 - Caroline 5:35 - Roll Over Lay Down 11:35 - Whatever you want 17:15 - Mystery Song 19:30 - Railroad 21:10 - Most of the time 22:25 - Wild side of life 24:20 - Slow train 25:40 - Hold you Back 30:25 - Rockin All Over the World 36:35 - Dirty Water 40:35 - Big Fat Mama 46:00 - Don't Waste My Time 50:15 - Roadhouse Blues 1:03:35 - What You're Proposing 1:08:10 - Down Down 1:13:35 - Bye Bye Johnny
Thanks for uploading this! Great to see the unedited version and love being able to finally watch the full performance of Bye Bye Johnny from this concert 😀
Wow, just wow, didn't expect rare unearthed footage, somebody say it was gone in a fire, hope to see the other footage soon, full 4500 times, etc. Rain. This is a evidence of how powerful quos music really was. What you're proposing is amazing, good organ, synth work of andy, vocal harmonies in perfect condition. Rib al and rick
Wow, thanks for this , saw Quo live so many times, really brings back the memories. Is it just me or do they sound so much better with little or no keyboards?
Sad to think that this very much could’ve been the last tour of the mighty Quo. Also sad to think that by this point both Francis and Rick were all over the place with drink and drugs. Such a shame.
you don't happen to have the similar master for 'More From the Road' do you? would love to hear the full version of 4500 Times which had 2 massive edits in it. and of course the biggest edit, Paper Plane nowhere to be seen at all! Still, at least we get to hear the full Roadhouse Blues.
Great to see little bit's not seen in the final product. Just a shame this isn't the full concert. (It's missing Paper Plane, Backwater, Just Take Me, Little Lady, Don't Drive My Car, Over The Edge, Forty-Five Hundred Times and Rain).
The original audio sounds way better much more depth especially on the vocals. Nuffs bass is high in the mix combined with a perfect balance between Francis and Rick. The overall sound having that Vox AC 30, clean with an edge bounce if that makes sense! That iconic image of Rick right up against the wall of AC 30s during Caroline I'm sure all of us over a certain age will remember that!! Rick's train track string guage going through some cooking AC 30s a sonic marvel, you've probably guessed I'm a fan of the Vox era! In or around the 33 min mark I've always wondered what was thrown on the stage!!
Where does this footage come from? Where is the soundtrack from? What do people mean by the mistakes? It's such a shame they edited Roadhouse Blues and Bye Bye Johnny in the final product
Final Gig from Milton Keynes UK. ‘End of the Road’ Tour. 35,000 fans for their last gig. Rossi’s vocals were dubbed over for various reasons. This is unedited. He missed 5 of 69 shows.

Julian Dowling. Yeah...In the Army Now was a big mistake. I was so disappointed and everything else after that although Heavy Traffic had promise.

how rare is this
Not very rare, with it being a poor copy of the actual in-house "rough edit" tape which still exists.
cannot be the whole concert, some songs are missing, that they played that day, for instance 4500 times

Pre Sept 18th overdubs by the sound of Caroline
is this a rough edit as the actual one shows the crowd cut aways as this one dosn't
