Many of the people complaining are Drake stans. Besides Lil Wayne can't even remember his own lyrics. Kendrick's performance is going to be phenomenal.
Exactly. It's far more typical for hometown artists to come on as guests at the Super Bowl than to necessarily be the headliners. Who headlines hasn't ever really been about the location of the event so much as being a matter of who will generate high viewership.
@@TitaniumTectonic I’ve also found the inclusion of race brought up by Nicki Minaj to be absolutely bizarre. I wonder if people know there was a time before 2020 and that some of the most iconic Super Bowl performances were by larger than life BLACK artists. It'd be more tasteful and just show Drake that he's already moved on. He had his moment to rub it in Drake's face already, and he did it well. there's no need to repeat. Whatever he cooks for a halftime show is going to be a unique artistic vision and not waste it on Drake. This one is for him, and showing that hip hop is still a powerhouse genre.
Fun Disses/Reaches: 1. Kendrick used collegiate/high school footballs for the first SIX throws... then picks up an NFL football afterwards. 2. "ladidadidah, slob on me knob" is also my favorite part of King's Dead. But even better is that Future was just fucking around on the mic and wasn't planning to include that until *Kendrick* told him he should include it because it was the best part, lol. Just another of the many ways Kendrick shows his genius!
No offense to Lil Wayne, he's my goat too but I don't understand why people are mad that he should have been the headliner at the Superbowl Halftime Show all because he's from New Orleans? Since when has the location of the Superbowl been a part of the criteria for getting a performer? When Beyonce headlined the performance, no one was mad at it even though she's from Houston and the Superbowl was at New Orleans at the time. I didn't hear anyone scream: "Oh that should have been Lil Wayne performing not Beyonce." hahaha And also, I think it's extremely smart for them to get Kendrick as the performer! Aside from the popularity of the beef, his catalogue is incredible! Imagine hearing songs like Humble, N95, Alright and more on a global stage like that is just exciting to me! If I had a guess on who he would get as a guest for his performance? SZA! And they can perform All The Stars! That would be epic. Also Baby Keem! And imagine if he brought out artists from Top Dawg!!! I can also see him bringing on Tommy The Clown and his students for another killer dance moment!
Asking what Kendrick could play is crazy. Bro could do All the Stars and have SZA come out then let her riff one, Kings Dead and bring Future out, Vice City and have Black hippy come out, then hit B dont kill my vibe and Money Trees and call it a fucking day. Lmfao.

I think at the end when he says you gotta catch with your hands open or you gonna mess up the routes, it’s in reference to Drake fumbling the beef with his delusions of grandeur and tunnel vision instead of brainstorming and planing out a proper attack.
Set list prediction: Humble, DNA, Money Trees/King's Dead with Jay Rock, Collard Greens with Q, Alright, Family Ties with Keem, maybe Not Like Us. Swimming Pools. Imagine he drops an album between now and February. I hope he does Levitate too.
If you watch Kendrick at any award show, tv show, even the super bowl, he knows how to make a decent clean version. I honestly prefer the Grammys "burn your..." list on kings dead to the original in that part.
He posted and 52 seconds after I thought to myself “I think superbowl this year is a goal to go see in New Orleans” then I saw how much was a ticket and then my soul ran away (I’m from another country and 7 years in the us I never thought about going to the superbowl) 🤠
you think the football launching machine (in the actual Kendrick nfl announcement video) is the sound effect heard at the beginning of the 616 in la diss track? sounds like it tbh
IMO the best set performance would be 10 songs (not full versions) 1. Humble (great energy to open with) 2. N95 3. Win (feat J rock) Into 4. Kings Dead (Feat J Rock intro Future) 5. Like that (Feat Future) 6. Alright (slow tempo down into) 7. Money Trees (J rock again) 8. U (interpolation not full song, into) 9. I 10. Not like Us Would be my pick for a Superbowl performance
You underestimate how huge Swimming Pools was/is for white people as like a college/frat party anthem - for many, it was the only K song they knew before Not Like Us went nuclear. Considering that that's a huge part of who is watching football, I'd be surprised if he didn't play it.
@@doylerudolph7965 I'm not underestimating it. I understand it is a beloved song. I mostly built my list based on a focus on J Rock and Future being guests, and a list that I think would fit the tempo of a Superbowl Performance.
10:58 absolutely love King's Dead, Future just giving up and adlibbing Three 6 Mafia is an all time rap moment. I remember listening to a DJ Paul playlist at work once and my coworker was like "Yo isnt this a Future verse??" when Slob on my Knob came on lol. Felt like such an oldhead explaining it
I love how delusional the remaining drake stans are thinking this made Kendrick Lamar relevant again like he was on some sort of fall off, Completely ignoring the fact the two artists have such different philosophies when it comes to dropping projects.
Hear me out. What IF: Kendrick pulls a Lil Wayne and raps on the First Person Shooter with J Cole (and maybe Lil Wayne), reclaiming the track? FPS was supposed to be 3 rappers initially. Kendrick is living out a lot of lines from the track: -Debating the números. Not the 3, not the 2 -Big as the Superbowl -Say it now. Who the GOAT? ("Say uncle" type beat) Wayne is a big inspiration of Kendrick so it'd show that Drake isn't just a bad student by dismissing Wayne's advice on being himself (lifelong battle 😏) but that Kendrick was the better successor to Hip Hip lineage after Wayne made it rain in how he reigned last era as the best. Where Drake was Esau who didn't value his birthright, Kendrick was Jacob who wrestled with God and aint let go til he got blessed. Where Kendrick was Abel, Drake was Cain. (Speaking of "caine" maybe bring Pusha T into the performance too for maximum "Poetic Justice".) It sounds crazily layered... but it is Kendrick. For all I know, he could unveil the other disses he didn't release or a track for a new album too. What do you think? 🤔
This is actually Kendrick Lamar's 3rd super bowl performance, first as a headliner. I believe that he also makes a reference to Like That and Euphoria in the promo, lol.

He posted and 52 seconds after I thought to myself “I think superbowl this year is a goal to go see in New Orleans” then I saw how much was a ticket and then my soul ran away (I’m from another country and 7 years in the us I never thought about going to the superbowl) 🤠
Bro called himself big as the super bowl and this will be Kendrick’s SECOND TIME THERE
Somehow the sound of the ball throwing machine resembles the sound heard in 6.18 in LA intro.
The censoring part reminds me of ScHoolboy Q tryna perform oHio on Jimmy Fallon 😂
you think the football launching machine (in the actual Kendrick nfl announcement video) is the sound effect heard at the beginning of the 616 in la diss track? sounds like it tbh
Martin had a dreeeam!!!
IMO the best set performance would be 10 songs (not full versions)
1. Humble (great energy to open with)
2. N95
3. Win (feat J rock)
Into
4. Kings Dead (Feat J Rock intro Future)
5. Like that (Feat Future)
6. Alright (slow tempo down into)
7. Money Trees (J rock again)
8. U (interpolation not full song, into)
9. I
10. Not like Us
Would be my pick for a Superbowl performance
You underestimate how huge Swimming Pools was/is for white people as like a college/frat party anthem - for many, it was the only K song they knew before Not Like Us went nuclear. Considering that that's a huge part of who is watching football, I'd be surprised if he didn't play it.
@@doylerudolph7965 I'm not underestimating it. I understand it is a beloved song. I mostly built my list based on a focus on J Rock and Future being guests, and a list that I think would fit the tempo of a Superbowl Performance.
Ppl are saying that sound at the beginning of one of his diss tracks was that ball machine!! 6:16 I believe
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. Outstanding job 💯
Thank you!
@@Derapy You're welcome. You earned that praise
YO THE OUTRO FIRE 🔥 ❤

12:15 eeeeyyyyyy you had me bopping thoooo lmaooooo wtffff 😅😂😂😂😂😂😂 💃🏽💃🏽beat so hard hhahaha
9:45 do it!
😅
Drake fans acting like Kendrick has no hits is actually insane cope omfg
NEW DERAPY VID RAAAH 🦅 🦅
We are sooooo over Drake!
No round 2😂😂😂😂
The end of the song, not like us, hits hardest, especially for black history month and the true meaning of the song.
I hope he performs Mr. Morale. That one would go wild at the super bowl.
Beat goes insane.
I could not care less about football but you KNOW I'm tuning in to Super Bowl LIX for that halftime show. 🎉
Found you late in the beef… it’s been a joy to watch you move from drake fan to you in this video 😂
Hear me out. What IF:
Kendrick pulls a Lil Wayne and raps on the First Person Shooter with J Cole (and maybe Lil Wayne), reclaiming the track?
FPS was supposed to be 3 rappers initially. Kendrick is living out a lot of lines from the track:
-Debating the números. Not the 3, not the 2
-Big as the Superbowl
-Say it now. Who the GOAT? ("Say uncle" type beat)
Wayne is a big inspiration of Kendrick so it'd show that Drake isn't just a bad student by dismissing Wayne's advice on being himself (lifelong battle 😏) but that Kendrick was the better successor to Hip Hip lineage after Wayne made it rain in how he reigned last era as the best. 🤔
Lil Wayne isn't even a Saints fan. Also he's not commercially friendly.
Yeah he has a weird thing with the packers but he definitely claims the area!
We need the audio of the MTG Reaction 😂
Why the fuck is the outro actually fucking goes hard
Ayyy that was nice.. Derapy wit the bars 💯
This is actually Kendrick Lamar's 3rd super bowl performance, first as a headliner. I believe that he also makes a reference to Like That and Euphoria in the promo, lol.
family ties/range brothers mashup for sure
