When I was stationed in Washington DC there was missile defense systems on the top floor of the parking garage in the Navy Yard a few blocks from the Capitol building.
I know this movie is ignoring most semblance of logic, common sense, or reality, but having NEITHER fighter jet in the kill zone was too far for me. Why on earth would you both willingly place your selves in the only position that AC 130 has a chance to take you down in?
It's cheap dumb movie logic that went half-way: So they send a rogue or whatever AC 130 and the movie directors are like "Hey you know it would only be realistic to have an actual pair of fighter jets intercept them... ...but we'll place them in a ridiculous position they 1) are in the weapons cone of fire and 2) they cannot fire at the aircraft from behind at all and then they totally get shot down haha!" Same ridiculous plot as "London has fallen" ignoring how hard it would be to massively infiltrate local police etc in London with a massive security presence to attack various leaders of state and the security services not catching wind of it beforehand at all.
why both fighters will fly side by side with the hostile, when it should be one will remain behind the hostile aircraft to shoot it down incase the brrttt happen. so they have SAM but no phalanx ciws incase they run out of missiles?

Don't imagine there are many of them just lying around. It was allowed to get far too close to Washington and would have been intercepted well before it got even close to DC. Also, the secret service and security personnel in the White House handle this terribly. Surely they wouldn't all deploy to the roof in the event of an airborne target approaching the area. Nor would they run outside the main entrance into the path of an oncoming ground assault. The terrorist group also designed and built 2 dump trucks to have 50 cal machine guns inside them. There is no way the plan to get these individuals to give up their Ceberus codes would work either, as I'm sure there would be a fail safe allowing the military to change the codes in the event one or all of the President, SoD or COTCJS got compromised. It's a fun action movie, but don't think about it too much.

All jolly good Boy's Own action stuff, but of course in reality this could never happen. There would for example be both a distance and altitude restriction over the Whitehouse, and any aircraft ignoring it would be taken out by missile defences....and yes, they are there. You just don't see them....
This isn't a C130, it's an AC130. They're real gunships and they fulfill air support roles. However the plane you see in this video is literally nothing like an AC-130. For instance, that's a Boeing 737 flight deck they're sitting in. Secondly, an AC130 doesn't have guns on both sides of the aircraft (This allows the aircraft to bank slightly and circle around it's target zone for continuous, uninterrupted and concentrated fire) and the guns cannot be remotely operated from the cockpit either. There's a crew that sits in the back that fires, reloads and operates a variety of weapons. The US Air Force operates 4 different AC130s I believe and AC130 Spooky has a 22mm and a 40mm rotating vulcan and a 105mm howitzer while AC130 Spectre just has a 7.62mm and a 20mm.
As in the short's title, it's a clip from the movie Olympus has Fallen. I haven't seen it for a while, but this is part of the first 30 minutes or so setting up the movie (white house is under attack... similar premise to Airforce One in some ways).

I personally thought the way they take the white house was a bit silly (the defenders all acted like idiots and didn't use cover particularly effectively), but it was fine for a popcorn flick.
Everyone in the comments is a professional pilot with over 40 years of experience flying a stealth fighter jet who has also worked in civilian airports with a full background in airspace protocol.
Secret service has to run to the rooftops of the White House knowing that they're already there this movie so far has failed for a trailer to be anything almost realistic think Hollywood needs to go back to their drawing book

F35 tells the pilot there's an enemy SU27 and tells the pilot its weakness and suggests how to go about exploiting it). The F35 also has a suite of advanced sensors that the F22 doesn't have, like allowing the pilot to see through the entire plane for a complete 360 view of its surroundings. What's really sealing the nail in the coffin for the F22 though is its advanced data link system, while it's identifying all of this and telling the pilot, its also sharing that information with every single friendly/ allied force which gives battlefield commanders the ability to know exactly what the enemy is using and where they are at all times. The F22 only has an advantage in true air superiority combat since it can do it better. The F35 is winning out though simply because while the F22 has it beat in air dominance, the F35 is still very much also capable of air superiority but it can share everything it knows while the F22 can't.
