If you start to smell coolant, check the freeze plugs on the back of the cylinder heads. They had a tendency to leak on that engine, but on that set up, they are easy to change.
Ok AC compressor is squeeking. #1 Low AC 143a fridgerant ( has gas and oil in it ) maybe low. #2 Bearing is worn and will break soon ( sh*t happens). You give it an Oil change every 3,500miles ( do not f8ck this up on older vehicles as your engine is the life of the Van). #3 Get all your window shades made. #4 Add deep cycle batteries. #5 small powerful 200w panel you can throw out side south facing to charge the batteries. #5 any Mppt 40amp Solar charge controller or bigger that can do 12/24v function.( allows for battery up grades future.) Once we get our You Tube studio up you'll have reserved parking. TN Nash = 1 hr away. You always have a free pass here unquestioned. Also practice Stealth life and ask any questions. #6 Proper Tire pressure ( do not under fill you'll lose travel miles) do not over fill ( you prematurely wear and ruin tires out). #7 we build you a Solar Hot water PVC tube heater. 10 to 20 gallons ( I need to do math). #8 Building a fully pressurized mini water system is cake. Rv style. #9 I can detail the engine nearly spotless #10 Sniff test. Yeah get your nose to the rug. Enzyme clean and stinky spots. Also steam clean for best results. #11 congrats #12 Self repairing van engines are a total nightmare as they have no to limited room =( sad Panda. #13 when you ( if ever) get here we talk to Cory and get you set up in the IT company. Free money for a small investment for life. It'll help on food gas and repairs. Once you understand how it works fully invest in all tiers and pull in max money's. We're both going all in as the internet isn't going away any time soon! (Edit) I'm stupid i forgot to mention keep an eye ALWAYS on the Radiator coolant. Make sure you can see that green stuff in the reserve tank. That ever goes low you'll crack block and seals. Bring gallon with you Plus 2 5w/30w oil pints ALWAYS! ( Build a tool kit) Repairs happen in travel and tire repair kit. Plugs = miles of extra worry free travel! VAN LIFE!
All this info is good but you left out the achilles’ heel of dodge the transmission. If and when it goes out put in a aftermarket one. Dodge transmission are garbage.
It is 134a Freon/ Refrigerant , I don't think that it will cause the compressor to squeak from being low on charge,, I've seen the belt be worn n squeak and normally a low charge the compressor clutch will kick in and out and not cool good either, but I'm just a hvac tech not a mechanic,,,,,,but it is hopefully a good van myself I would have it serviced by a good mechanic and check out all coolant hoses and the other things that can possibly cause you to have a break down especially when you are traveling alone being a lady, they are some sick people in this world
I drove a w900 limited edition kenworth truck , the refrigerator wasn't big enough, so I added a 800 amp inverter , and a dorm sized refrigerator, 4 cup coffee pot, but youd probably have to add a marine battery, solar charger, depending on how much you use everything , the kenworth had 3 deep cycle batteries, so I just ran the truck to keep it charged , if I was parked more than 24 hours , at a time . Miss that rig , 2 beds tv , DVD, CD, microwave, everything was remote controlled.
Awesome van and deal on it! Thankful the lady held it for you! Storage space is needed, small refrigerator, small cooktop, and the van looks big enough to really have space for smart and thought out planning for what you need. Great start, Jaylena!
Add some solar charging panels to the top of the van. That way when you are on a road trip and it is time to pull over you have lights and possibly a fan or whatever you want to power up or charge.
You're right. The system doesn't need to be big or expensive not that they make the portable pods that you can just plug in. For that small of a space you don't need a big power bank.
Congratulations, Jalena.. Learn everything you can machanical about YOUR van. Knowledge is the key! Also, just in case you haven't seen her, Robin of Creativity RV has alot of information about RV Life. I just watched one of her latest videos on safety. She has so many videos for different things. 1 or more, on making money on the road. So, enjoy your life and make it all count! Even the smallest stuff.
Wow that is so nice!!! Im happy for you! Its so nice having you back and i to your environment ! You are a breath of fresh air! So naturally beautiful and classy!
Hi. First put your money in the engine, suspension, hoses n tires. Since you're on a budget, consider just getting a simple card table to set up in or out of van to cook on n then you can fold it away when not in use. Maybe get a simple double camp stove again, cooking in out depending on the weather. Good window coverings! Simple bucket n sawdust toilet. Have friends save milk jugs to carry water, lighter n easier for you than large blue bottles. Bench seats for sitting n storage. Always carry a 5 g bucket for many uses. Scrap board n small shovel, cat litter to dig out of stuck wheel issues. That shower thing in a bucket of water for outdoor showering on the back of van. Check scrap outlets for cabinets, 2 nd hand stores for pots, pans, pillows, etc. Lots of LED lights that can be mini solar charged. A simple large stainless steel bowl on a table for washing face, dishes, clothes etc. Emergency n safety kits. Just strip down n basic for now. Looking forward to the build on the van, tiny house, n ya'll s. friendship!! Peace to you and yours
So happy for you! Everything definitely happens for a reason and everything is lining up as it should. Your future is looking wonderful and I'm so happy for you.
Being a single girl, just a suggestion, you might think about a piece of freedom or a K-9 that has your best interest first in it's mind. And maybe get a safe mounted in.
Get rid of the carpet, I had a Chevrolet conversion it gets damp sleeping in it overnight from breathing ec . Easy to get overwhelmed... get laminate floors maybe light grey
I am so glad that you were able to find a van. It looks like you got a good deal for your money. You look so happy. I think it is awesome that you are getting to do what you have always wanted to do. God Bless You Jaylena.
Jason, you have done good my friend! I believe that you had your Positivity in high gear when you saw the ad for this!! Jaylena, you have a wonderful van to build what you want and so happy that you have Jason to help you build up the van especially for all the little cubbies etc. for storage! Thanks for the tour & looking forward to the transformation!!!!
That’s awesome! My mom is doing a Jeep conversion. One thing she has sworn by during her conversion is this pull out kitchen design. It’s pretty amazing.
We are converting a new 2019 Dodge ProMaster Van and love it. If you are not putting air I would put two Max Air fans on the roof plus a Solar and a Jackery. Good luck.
I’m happy to see you and Jason back together as friends. Please take the van in for an overhaul to make sure everything is in good working condition because as a woman you need to be extra safe on the road and that would ensure you have the van running well for a long time with little or no problems. Stay safe.
I lived in a van for 7 months while I was spilt up from my husband ,in the middle of summer and still worked every day,I had a small generator that I could charge while I drove, I used that to run a fan so I could sleep , I painted the roof with Henry tropical cool can get it at Lowe's will lower your temps in your van about 10 -20 degrees.
Wow the interior is really nice... glad you got a nice van. a cedar table made by Jason would be awesome... or a cedar chest where you can store items and use it also as a table..congrats ! glad you got it.
AAA is a cheap investment per year for anyone that’s on the road much. For I think around 70 dollars a year you can have alittle comfort knowing if you have a breakdown on road they are only a call away to help you get going again.
It looks and sounds like you got an awesome deal. Glad things are working out for you. Anxious to see what all you have planned for the woody van.....LOL. Have a great day!!!
My dad had an old green pickup that was about that shade of green and he called it Dragon. I think you have a nice van and very nice according to its age. Someone has really loved it.
We had a Dodge van back I think it was in 1988.. it was a new one. We loved it.. we square danced with a club at that time and went all over the state..we always had a van full of dancer with us.. We really had a blast .. I hope you get a lot of good use out of it.. be safe..
How exciting !! We had stated redoing a camper to travel lol then found out I was pregnant, PCOS wasn't suppose to be able, we had tried for 10yrs gave up. Got a camper, we gutted it, redone the whole roof, new fire resistant really good installation, rewired the whole thing to run on solar and wind, we did the rustic reclaimed wood looking paneling (I would use this in a van or bus it bends nice to fit), rustic reclaimed wood looking linoleum (if I were to do a van that's what I'd put down front to back, take out all the carpet, super duty, waterproof, easy to clean). We didn't do a stove we had 2 single electric burners so they didn't take up counter space when not being used. Best of luck !! Can't wait to see what you choose to do !!
I like the name Forrest. Need a roof vent of some sort that way you can vent if you need to cook inside. Remove carpet that way it doesn't collect dirt from trails / beaches. Other than that I'm looking forward to see how this works out. I'm planning on doing a short skoolie conversion myself
~~~ Great I am happy for you. Everything on the van looks good .. just fix it all up to date..I hope you enjoy and love your van. GOD'S JOY to you my dear friend.
I LOVE your van and I think you made a great choice! It has lots of room inside and looks like it may have been an expensive one when new. You make me want to be young again!
My mom had a GMC height topper conversion van that kind of had the same look as this one does. Hers had a refrigerator that you put ice in that made it nice for us to put food in.
Just use plastics bins/drawer till you decide where you want everything permanently. Bungee them down so they don’t fall over. Put your bed on one side. Kitchen/storage on the other side.
From watching a lot of RVer's, I learned first timers should start with small overnight trips, not to far from home and gradually go further away from home base until you are sure of your vehicle and yourself. Then maybe you can connect with a tribe of like minded people to travel with. They always have each others back and help out in emergencies.
I'm hoping Jason goes with her for the 1st week or 2 just so she gets accustomed to all that needs to be done as far as parking, hookups, living and driving the van in general. She's a beautiful girl. It makes me nervous for her to be on the road all alone. Crazy people are everywhere.
Yes, get the wheel bearing repacked and check the suspension parts, bushings, tie rods, ball joints. Not fun when they give out on a lonely road. Belts and hoses check them all for cracks, hoses dry out with age and fail. Change all the fluids, radiator, transmission , oil, rear end. Yes you can drive it now but if you are going to spend money on build out, make sure you have a reliable foundation. Cheaper upfront than fixing them on the highway. I loved my 3/4 ton chevy high top custom van. You scored a great vehicle. Make sure you know how tall it is before driving through a drive in window, some of them are low. Be safe and have fun.
Looks like you got a good deal. I don’t remember if it had blinds but if not you may want to consider privacy blinds or curtains. Also a partition separating front seats would be good for additional privacy.
Congratulations on van pickup. My grandma had one of those vans. They are awesome. I wish I could find one for that price out here but people ask really crazy amount of $$ for them here. Great Find.
Saw some good names & really great advice in the comments here Jaylena. Glad you didn't edit out all the bloopers. It made it real, and I'm sure it made a few ppl chuckle a bit like me. Nice to see you & Jason trying to be friends again & not holding grudges. Holding in bad vibes & feelings just eats you up inside. Wish you well & good luck in whatever direction you're headed.💗👍
I saw the van and first thing that came into my mind when you said Green Monster was Hulk Very manly name.....it needs a Jaylena to tame him... Good luck on your adventures to come...
I would close off some of the windows because you'll freeze in the winter. But try to leave 1 or 2 so u have some light coming in & it's not so dark & gloomy. Brighten the inside color up. Congrats on the van!! I hope its everything you wished it is!!
SWAMP THING!!!! I love your van. I think that lights are neat but that box area is a great place to put shelves with doors for dishes, clothes, women's essentials, etc. The carpet can be easily pulled up and you can put down some snap-lock flooring. Love the bed--I wouldn't change much on the bed. Perhaps building some slide out/pull out drawers under the bed? I think you have plenty of room for a small kitchen counter--a small hand pump sink where you can have fresh water & the dirty water jugs under the sink just to freshen up (brush teeth, wash your face, rinse a cup off). You can also mount a small butane stove that could be locked into place and also removed for use outside on a picnic table in good weather. For your food you might want to invest in a nice portable refrigerator--the kind that look like coolers...and hook it up to a battery. Maybe Jason can build a wooden box with hinges so you can use it as a bench when not using it. I don't know what you are thinking on your heating source during the winter months....perhaps others can suggest something on that. Oh....can Jason weld some sort of platform on that back bumper for extra storage? You might need a durable container with an ax (for wood cutting), a hammock, maybe a bug screen and a shovel (in case you need to poop in the woods). I am very happy for you Jaylena.
Congratulations on your new van. It looks very nice inside and out. Im so happy for you and im glad that Jason was there to help you when your car broke down.
Full health check is must, brakes etc. do as little tear out possible, your ex could give you suggestions with 12 volt items like his shower. , cheap plug in power inverter , for your computer and cell, etc. and heavy duty deep cycle battery to be charge while driving and cut off switch to engine battery when parked . is a must. Good luck
TheWickerShireProject has given you a ton of ideas already. I would add a rail/rooftop bars to the top above the side doors and back doors so that you can set up a screened awning when you are in a campground. The pvc hot water container can mount up there along with any solar. I've always liked the idea of having the side doors with the screened space for living area and an enclosed space outside the back doors for a bathroom privacy area. I've seen people use the pressure spray canisters for a shower. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your van.
Wow ....I love seeing peoples DREAMS come true. Your van is very roomy love it. And Jason thank you for acting on keeping friendship with your wife love you both now have some fun🤗
Congratulations on your van purchase! Make sure you find out how tall it is so you don't rip the top in a drive- thru lane or low bridge, etc. Maybe join AAA service so you always emergency service available to you out on the road. It is worth the yearly fee for the piece of mind, or maybe there are other roadside emergency services you could look into in your part of the country, even through your insurance company! Stay safe and God Bless!
Jaylena, I'm so proud of you! You have grown so much as a person and your confidence glows. I'm super excited to see one of your dreams come true and where this takes you in life. You really should go live on your channel to get some super chats to help you out with needed expenses for the van. I wish you nothing but goodness in your life! Bonnie
What an amazing deal and it's very nice!! I'm personally thrilled for you!!!! 😄😄😄 Your so darling, Jaylena💕 I'm so glad Jason is helping you do this project! :)
You will need water in the van. The easiest starting place would be a pump style water connection for a sink and put a cassette toilet in. I love watching the Vanlife and Tiny Homes. Hope it all works out. Gus for the name?
Aw I'm happy for you, and it's a nice space people raise there beds up for storage I Know you know what your doing lol can't wait to see what u come up with
I'm sure you don't need my input, but since you ask. If your like me, limited funds plus I'm cheap, I'd check out Goodwill, thrift store and Habitat for things to use in the van. I think the solar and one of those coolers that works like a small fridge would be great.
So happy you found a van you liked and in your price range. If you ever get to W.V. make sure you contact Billy Joe and his friend Cory, they will be a BIG help to you. Stay safe and good luck on your adventures.
I would definitely try to learn basic things about the engine in case it breaks down while you’re by yourself. That van is awesome and you will have a blast on your travels.
just connected Jaylena..this is for sure the type of videos i love! nice score on your new Tiny House..alot is already done by the looks of it.. now i got to watch both channels just to keep up with yas haha.. much love
Love it 😍 You really got a good deal on that van it’s super nice and doesn’t need much work as other vans would it already has so many awesome features
Go to an auto parts store and get the recharge kit for the AC, it also has oil in it to service the compressor. IF it goes out check ebay for a new one they are very reasonable. Looks like a great van. So happy that you are on the first steps of your dream, you go girl. God bless
@@eunicehenderson9095 I have a 97 and a 99, they were already changed over by then. It will not fit if it isn't the correct stuff. The auto parts store should be able to tell them.
I'm quite familiar with that Van's systems. Belt adjustment is done by a spring loaded design. They get to where they don't hold the belt as good with age.
Since it's a Ram, how about Rambo lol? Jaylena I am very happy for you. You got a great deal I think. You will certainly enjoy it. It's going to be fun.
How exciting! Name him Bruce. I was thinking a while back of doing something like that but I have 3dogs and a hubby, also have my 2 adultish children with me
Jaylena, congrats on finding a van so soon! Before spending $$$ on remodeling, I'd plead with you to get it thoroughly looked at by a recommended mechanic...it's most likely got some original 21 yr. old parts.....why was she selling? Good Luck! Excited for you!
I recommend watching the van build playlist from Adventurevan Man. He used a Chevy van, but it was very similar to the inside of your new van, complete with wood trim, etc. On a different note, I'm glad to see you and Jason are friends and spending time together. Divorce doesn't have to end a friendship. I get along better with my ex husband now than we ever got along married! Good luck on the van build! I look forward to seeing how you transform it into YOUR special space!
I love your van👍😀I had a van years ago love it so much only problem I couldn't back that thing up😅😅😅😅😅just get it check out an have fun on your New Journey 😊
I think a good name would be Woody or "Big Woody" haha, you are doing a great job and I am so happy for you. have fun, we love seeing you and Jason together.
Congratulations sweetie. One step closer to your dreams coming true. I'm so happy for you, I'm crying. Stay safe and God bless you sweetie.
Debra Hudson That is a great idea! Makes me want to go on the road...but I have a family that I should take care of!
You're right. The system doesn't need to be big or expensive not that they make the portable pods that you can just plug in. For that small of a space you don't need a big power bank.
I will be starting out with lucy lights and probably a jackery for my cpap
The turtle top style of roof won't work with solar panels, but you may be able to add a custom roof rack for solar.
@@anamcaravan-cyndialan6313 yes they do..u just need different size brackets
We're all rooting for you! You just make us want you to succeed in whatever direction you decide to go, and I know you will.
❤️❤️❤️
I'm so happy that you found a van but when you do start traveling be very careful ok.
I'm hoping Jason goes with her for the 1st week or 2 just so she gets accustomed to all that needs to be done as far as parking, hookups, living and driving the van in general. She's a beautiful girl. It makes me nervous for her to be on the road all alone. Crazy people are everywhere.
Lauren Rizzuto she’s Native American so the crazy’s on the road better look 👀 out for her! She can take care of herself. 😁
@@CCRider5312 This is true. 😄
@Lauren Rizzuto 👍😁👍❤️
@@LaurenInJersey shell be fine....she made it this far in life
Dang girl! That's a cool van! Love it! Can't wait to see the reno.
Yes, get the wheel bearing repacked and check the suspension parts, bushings, tie rods, ball joints. Not fun when they give out on a lonely road. Belts and hoses check them all for cracks, hoses dry out with age and fail. Change all the fluids, radiator, transmission , oil, rear end. Yes you can drive it now but if you are going to spend money on build out, make sure you have a reliable foundation. Cheaper upfront than fixing them on the highway. I loved my 3/4 ton chevy high top custom van. You scored a great vehicle. Make sure you know how tall it is before driving through a drive in window, some of them are low. Be safe and have fun.
Yes, agree. And change the tyranny filter, no flushes
Looks like you got a good deal. I don’t remember if it had blinds but if not you may want to consider privacy blinds or curtains. Also a partition separating front seats would be good for additional privacy.
It has some blinds and I’ll be making some curtains for the windows without
Congratulations on van pickup. My grandma had one of those vans. They are awesome. I wish I could find one for that price out here but people ask really crazy amount of $$ for them here. Great Find.
Saw some good names & really great advice in the comments here Jaylena. Glad you didn't edit out all the bloopers. It made it real, and I'm sure it made a few ppl chuckle a bit like me. Nice to see you & Jason trying to be friends again & not holding grudges. Holding in bad vibes & feelings just eats you up inside. Wish you well & good luck in whatever direction you're headed.💗👍
I saw the van and first thing that came into my mind when you said Green Monster was Hulk
Very manly name.....it needs a Jaylena to tame him...
Good luck on your adventures to come...
Wishing you the best Jaylena. Follow your dreams but be careful. God bless you.
Oh yeah ... Have that mechanic give a good look over the front suspension making sure that the tie rods and ball joints and bushings are up to spec..
I would close off some of the windows because you'll freeze in the winter. But try to leave 1 or 2 so u have some light coming in & it's not so dark & gloomy. Brighten the inside color up. Congrats on the van!! I hope its everything you wished it is!!
Congratulations on the new van and the adventures that it’s going to bring.
SWAMP THING!!!! I love your van. I think that lights are neat but that box area is a great place to put shelves with doors for dishes, clothes, women's essentials, etc. The carpet can be easily pulled up and you can put down some snap-lock flooring. Love the bed--I wouldn't change much on the bed. Perhaps building some slide out/pull out drawers under the bed? I think you have plenty of room for a small kitchen counter--a small hand pump sink where you can have fresh water & the dirty water jugs under the sink just to freshen up (brush teeth, wash your face, rinse a cup off). You can also mount a small butane stove that could be locked into place and also removed for use outside on a picnic table in good weather. For your food you might want to invest in a nice portable refrigerator--the kind that look like coolers...and hook it up to a battery. Maybe Jason can build a wooden box with hinges so you can use it as a bench when not using it. I don't know what you are thinking on your heating source during the winter months....perhaps others can suggest something on that. Oh....can Jason weld some sort of platform on that back bumper for extra storage? You might need a durable container with an ax (for wood cutting), a hammock, maybe a bug screen and a shovel (in case you need to poop in the woods). I am very happy for you Jaylena.
Security is key if you will be solo/stealth camping girl. I love it!
A light bar on top with angle adjustable lights that you can turn on per unit. This gives you a lot of extra light when your in the middle of nowhere.
Youll need a shop manual. For the DODGE. So when it breaks down youll know how to trouble shoot. Good luck.
Good morning Jaylena. So happy you found what you wanted. Can't wait to see what you and Jason do.
I have so much love for you and Jason!
Not sure how you do it.
But you do!
And I love it.
Congratulations on your new van. It looks very nice inside and out. Im so happy for you and im glad that Jason was there to help you when your car broke down.
Congrats on your van! I would do a one way darken of the back windows so you can’t see in. Good luck!
Full health check is must, brakes etc. do as little tear out possible, your ex could give you suggestions with 12 volt items like his shower. , cheap plug in power inverter , for your computer and cell, etc. and heavy duty deep cycle battery to be charge while driving and cut off switch to engine battery when parked . is a must. Good luck
That looks like an awesome van, depending on what you want to do inside doesn't look like much work to do. Good luck.
TheWickerShireProject has given you a ton of ideas already. I would add a rail/rooftop bars to the top above the side doors and back doors so that you can set up a screened awning when you are in a campground. The pvc hot water container can mount up there along with any solar. I've always liked the idea of having the side doors with the screened space for living area and an enclosed space outside the back doors for a bathroom privacy area. I've seen people use the pressure spray canisters for a shower. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your van.
Wow ....I love seeing peoples DREAMS come true. Your van is very roomy love it. And Jason thank you for acting on keeping friendship with your wife love you both now have some fun🤗
I had a van so close to that in high school. My buddies and I had a blast running around in it.
Haha I bet! Jason said he had one like it too for his band back in the day lol
Congratulations on your van purchase! Make sure you find out how tall it is so you don't rip the top in a drive- thru lane or low bridge, etc. Maybe join AAA service so you always emergency service available to you out on the road. It is worth the yearly fee for the piece of mind, or maybe there are other roadside emergency services you could look into in your part of the country, even through your insurance company! Stay safe and God Bless!
Congrats! on the van and God bless you and stay safe when you start traveling!
Jaylena, I'm so proud of you! You have grown so much as a person and your confidence glows. I'm super excited to see one of your dreams come true and where this takes you in life. You really should go live on your channel to get some super chats to help you out with needed expenses for the van. I wish you nothing but goodness in your life! Bonnie
❤️❤️❤️
I am so very happy for you, nice van!! Can't wait to see the renovation of it!! :)
What an amazing deal and it's very nice!! I'm personally thrilled for you!!!! 😄😄😄
Your so darling, Jaylena💕
I'm so glad Jason is helping you do this project! :)
Curtains, pullout drawer storage under the bed. Maybe drawer like cabinets behind the seat so you can use for storage or the top to make food, etc.
Make sure you change out all the fluids before you hit the road and get this van on your maintenance schedule
Also check the date code on those tires and make sure they are safe. It’s not sexy but fluids and tires are high on to do list in my eyes 👀
You will need water in the van. The easiest starting place would be a pump style water connection for a sink and put a cassette toilet in. I love watching the Vanlife and Tiny Homes. Hope it all works out. Gus for the name?
Aw I'm happy for you, and it's a nice space people raise there beds up for storage I Know you know what your doing lol can't wait to see what u come up with
That van is fantastic. You scored for sure.
I’m so proud of you, honey!! Good luck to you!!
Thanks girl! 🤗❤️
I'm sure you don't need my input, but since you ask. If your like me, limited funds plus I'm cheap, I'd check out Goodwill, thrift store and Habitat for things to use in the van. I think the solar and one of those coolers that works like a small fridge would be great.
So happy you found a van you liked and in your price range. If you ever get to W.V. make sure you contact Billy Joe and his friend Cory, they will be a BIG help to you. Stay safe and good luck on your adventures.
Really glad for you jaylena, living your dreams, awesome
I would definitely try to learn basic things about the engine in case it breaks down while you’re by yourself. That van is awesome and you will have a blast on your travels.
just connected Jaylena..this is for sure the type of videos i love! nice score on your new Tiny House..alot is already done by the looks of it.. now i got to watch both channels just to keep up with yas haha.. much love
Thank you!
Love it 😍 You really got a good deal on that van it’s super nice and doesn’t need much work as other vans would it already has so many awesome features
I think you did good picking your first van. The best to you ❤️.
Go to an auto parts store and get the recharge kit for the AC, it also has oil in it to service the compressor. IF it goes out check ebay for a new one they are very reasonable. Looks like a great van. So happy that you are on the first steps of your dream, you go girl. God bless
@@eunicehenderson9095 I have a 97 and a 99, they were already changed over by then. It will not fit if it isn't the correct stuff. The auto parts store should be able to tell them.
@@nmdispatchlady new it was cutting it close on the freon. At my age I can't remember exactly anymore. Just did not want a mistake to happen.
Wow, that's a really nice van😊 I love it!!! It's going to look even nicer once your done with it.🤗 I'm so happy for you. 🥰
I'm quite familiar with that Van's systems. Belt adjustment is done by a spring loaded design. They get to where they don't hold the belt as good with age.
You guys pick a good one you will be very comfortable in this God bless be safe and I can't wait to see it all done up
Since it's a Ram, how about Rambo lol?
Jaylena I am very happy for you. You got a great deal I think. You will certainly enjoy it. It's going to be fun.
How exciting! Name him Bruce.
I was thinking a while back of doing something like that but I have 3dogs and a hubby, also have my 2 adultish children with me
Jaylena, congrats on finding a van so soon! Before spending $$$ on remodeling, I'd plead with you to get it thoroughly looked at by a recommended mechanic...it's most likely got some original 21 yr. old parts.....why was she selling? Good Luck! Excited for you!
I recommend watching the van build playlist from Adventurevan Man. He used a Chevy van, but it was very similar to the inside of your new van, complete with wood trim, etc.
On a different note, I'm glad to see you and Jason are friends and spending time together. Divorce doesn't have to end a friendship. I get along better with my ex husband now than we ever got along married!
Good luck on the van build! I look forward to seeing how you transform it into YOUR special space!
I bet there are a ton of RUclips videos about diagnosing problems and how to repair vans like this. All the best to you in the days ahead.
Names for your van - forest (gump), Clover (for good luck), Woody, or Chief.
I love your van👍😀I had a van years ago love it so much only problem I couldn't back that thing up😅😅😅😅😅just get it check out an have fun on your New Journey 😊
I think a good name would be Woody or "Big Woody" haha, you are doing a great job and I am so happy for you. have fun, we love seeing you and Jason together.
So happy for you. Safe travels sweet girl. You deserve it 🌹🌹
Happy for you Jaylena. Good luck in your new adventures. Take care.
Maybe get a front and rear dash cam. And security system. Definitely need to be safe.
