How to make Plum Jam filled Buns, Lekváros bukta

    8 cups (1 kg) of all purpose flour, 4 egg yolks, 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar, little less than 3 cups (700 ml) of milk, 3½ ounces (100 ml) of oil, 1 stick 100 g of butter, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of instant yeast, plum jam for the filling
    For finishing: 8 tablespoons of melted butter for brushing the bukta, 1 egg for brushing the bukta, ¾ cup (180 ml) of warm milk
    Mix half of the lukewarm milk, one tablespoon of sugar and the yeast. Sprinkle a little flour on top and cover with a plate. Let it proof.
    Mix the flour and salt. Add the sugar, the milk the egg yolks and the risen yeast with the milk. When the ingredients start to form a ball, add the oil and butter slowly. Knead it until you get a smooth soft dough. The kneading process can take up to 10 minutes.
    Transfer the dough to a working surface and knead it with your hands for five more minutes. Place the dough in a floured bowl, sprinkle the top with flour and let it rest until it has doubled in size. Cut the dough in half. It will be much easier to roll it out.
    Roll out the dough approximately 0.5 mm thick and cut up to squares ( 4 x 5-inch, 10-12 cm) Put a heaping tablespoon of plum jam on one side of the dough and roll it up as you see it in the video. Place the bukta in a parchment paper-lined baking pan. Make sure the seam faces at the bottom of the pan, otherwise the bukta may open during baking. Brush each bukta's side with melted butter. Brushing the bukta with butter makes them easy to separate after baking. Let them rest covered for 15 minutes. After resting brush the top with egg.
    Bake them in a preheated 375F oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. During the last 5 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and brush each bukta with warm milk and put the pan back in the oven for 3-5 minutes. Brushing makes the bukta softer and keeps them fresh for a longer period of time.

    Roll it to half mm or half cm thick? I assume you wanted to say half centimeter.
