S R, you turn the most shot damaged muntjac, car crushed hare, or 5 star Welsh lamb into a work of art! Keep on keepin' on!
You got me into butchering my own meat. I never realized how cathartic the process was before I found your videos some time back. Definitely brings me closer to my kills and adds another level of pride knowing that I did it myself. Thank you for doing what you do!
I have to say, great vid, as usual. Also...
Nice to see pages 34 to 36 of the January/ February edition of the BASC magazine!
Well done, Scott!
Hell i wish we had those little buggers over here in New Zealand it would make it easier for us old fellas as all ways your videos are a pleasure to watch 🍻🍻
Awesome episode. I aspire to this level of expertise!
I would like to have a bowl of chili made with some of the deer. Take care and God bless. Happy 2023.
You make this look so effortless. I have studied your videos every year but once a year is not enough practice. Still, the way you hold the knife and your clear videos are by far the best. I didn’t even start butchering this season until I could find your video. No doubt one of the best.
So much good meet if you know what you do. You know and I try to learn.
Great butchery skills 🎉
As a Canadian hunter, my first thought on seeing that poor wee beastie was that I'd need about 15 of them to fill the freezer. 🤣🤣🤣 Happy New Year Scott and all!
I was thinking the same. I also first thought it was a fawn.
Not everyone is filling the freezer , some just need to fill the plate for their family that day
@@mdog1615 Another SJW. There's always the food bank buddy. Others like myself tend to plan ahead and fill the freezer. It only takes one day if the hunt works out.
@@rockbutcher what’s an SJW ?
I’ve got full freezers every year too , and I’m in Canada too , Bud. Point was not everyone cares about how big the kill is , they care that they have something to eat… something that isn’t food bank dog food.
@@mdog1615 I get a kick out of how serious you got over my initial lighthearted comment. It was meant in a good spirit. I didn't ask for your opinion and I don't GAF about what your point is. The glass is half full dude. Learn to laugh a bit and stop thinking it's your job to educate people online to your way of thinking.
Those leg steaks would be just lovely with cracked pepper.
Love your work knackers been watching your videos for years. My favourite is your butcher to plate keep up your great work
I'm over here in the states of Alabama and a lot of meat to come off such a small animal that's pretty impressive and it's such beautiful meat
Hi Scott always great to see you work ya magic and always love watching your videos. Something that brings light into a dark gloomy day and makes me smile with your passion and humour. You have done wonders for the butcher world and the fans alike to love to learn keep up the amazing work. ❤
Cheers for sharing Scott 👍🏻🍷
Just a lot of love for you Scott. Keep it up. Particularly with the Game. I recently butchered my first pig and my first proper deer. (I’d previously guessed in 2012!). You are an inspiration.
Subscribed and used Scott’s butchering ideas for years. Works great for me. I put that roast on the rotisserie then slice it into jerky thin pieces and season again and dry in the oven for a delicious treat.
Nice work young man, used your Woodcock recipe game changing.
A master at work
Happy New Year Scott. Spookily I have venison for the meal tonight! I had a brace of pheasants given to me over a week ago, your video inspired me to finally get my act together and de-feather and prepare them for the pot. Now its time for a beer!
Outstanding video. We’re hunters too and always enjoy your game butchery. Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year and a word of thanks for all your great videos. As a hunter who tries to eat as much of the harvest a possible I have learned an incredible amount from following your channel. Keep up the great work, much appreciated!
Great job again Scott .never had a muntjac we would like to try it as we have heard it's really good! We might have to get the rifle out!!! Happy New Year to you and yours Malc and Ann Lincolnshire xxx
Looks like it was hit with a 50 cal....cracking job butchering mind! Lovely little deers, invasive species showing up all over the place now😁
They ain’t got any football roasts, they more like golfball roasts! LOL
and a delicious one it will be, no need for a 10 lb roast I have no intent to share.
Fabulous watching you work and I can only hope I get to do this at some point. Beautiful! That’s all I can say. 👍
Brilliant video,, , id love to get one of these and give it go .
Perfect !
You are a Master
That thing is tiny ! At first I thought it was a 🐰 !
Bloody he'll the size of that hole through the rib cage what was it shot with a cannon ......Never heard of small arms lol 😆 As always a master class in butchery perfect well mastered skills .
I look forward to new video's in the new year .
All the best Scott 👍
Perfect size Game, dealt with perfectly.
Thanks for showing.
Great job I loved butchering deer when I was in the states you make it look easy well done
Do for me that would , looks very nice
Stunning job Scott. Great vid and the critter looks small but looks like you’ve got a few good feeds there. Happy New Year 🎉
dude love it we have great Illinios deer make it over and my treat
LOL! , though it was a rabbit
Lovely little vid Scott. Making my mouth water to be honest 😎😎😎
Brilliant as always sir
Amazing 😉🍀👍
Another great video.
Happy new year my friend. Considering the size of the carcass , that is quite a lot of prime meat you have.
Scott, Happy New Year! I always enjoy your wild game butchery videos, I was wondering what happened to the six little Christmas porkers, hopfully they found their way into some delicious chops, roasting joints and sausages...Yum! Stay safe my friend.
I watch muntjac hunts on RUclips and I’m always shocked by the over powered rifles used to hunt these little guys. I’d use a 22 hornet or 222 Remington to preserve the meat!
Nice work Scott!
👍
Nice to show how to deal with the shot game, perfection as always. did you lose a bit of weight?
@scottrea any chance of identifying glands that need to be taken out before mincing ?
I was going to ask the exact same thing. A foolproof method of locating, identifying and removing the glands would be great.
Can't quite work out whether that deer was shot with an RPG or 155mm Howitzer! 😆
That was a instant kill shot .The Deer would not of known anything.
Would love to taste small deer like that or even roe deer but up here in the Scottish Islands all we have is red deer
We had a few roe deer that were pets but then set free but they were soon dispatched(by some lucky hunter/poacher) as we have lots of problems with non native species like hedgehogs and rabbits
We had deer in the Florida keys smaller than this! LOL they look like little chihuahuas with little horns! They are protected and don’t know anyone that would bother hunting them for anything more than a pic or two.
These MUNTJACKs have gone feral in the UK. They are even in city parks. Quite tame.
Have seen many, but not eaten one. YET....
Muntjac are an invasive introduced species. Need to be shot on sight. But good venison
@@stevefowler3398 I do not know what hunting tackle is legal in the UK, but get yourself one, and go out in the country, and get one, they have to be good if Mr. Rea says so, and takes the time to make a vid on it.
would you ever consider teaching a butcher course on the common tasty critters of the world
Think your great Scott I’m in Yorkshire uk but struggling to find any whole animals like this ie venison/lambs where should I be looking
There's some static noise in this video... Anyway, great video Scott!
New knife, Scott?
Ain't muntjacks those deer things with horns and fangs?
Can you do a video on butchering a cow the American way?
Does anyone use venison steak cut into strips marinated in soy and used stir fry? Seems like it would work well in that type of dish.
this deer is tiny did it still have spots. .why kill ?
What about the Christmas pigs?? Have been slaughtered already??
They are late developers Giorgio. They weren't quite ready in December so will be done later this month my friend. Don't worry thou, there will be videos, they just need to fatten a little more the little Porkers.
@@TheScottReaproject will butchering goats help me improve my skill at butchering venison? I really want to get better at my once a year obsession with filling my freezer with delicious treats. Cheers. And thanks! Have a great year.
@@TheScottReaproject great news I sadly believed I missed that out.
Too much noise/static in this. But otherwise great video.
That's a deer??? I've shot coyotes bigger than that. My October muley put 80 pounds of meat in the freezer
Different country
😂 had the same thought. But UK has an awful lot of game per 0:40 acre. Those little deer don’t eat as much so you get more coverage, as it were.
So Scott is giving a nice tutorial and you need to crap on it? No one cares about your muley or your coyotes.
Oooo, you're so butch.
Seriously, boys. There’s no need get ugly. It is what is. By contrast i went bird watching in the Fens and saw some huge tits.
I'm sorry, but that is the smallest deer I have ever seen
Scott you need to tell your sources to learn to shoot those little deer in the head or give up the hunt.
Great channel Scott 👏🏻 👍 👌 any chance of doing a rabbit or squirrel curry ewd lad 🤜🤛
👍
