Currently in the process of joining the national guard so this really helped me what I wanted to choose.
How was it?
I love these videos that provide different perspectives of the military. Potential recruits can get some insight regarding what to expect by getting their info from someone who's experienced it already. Great work that you guys are honest & keeping it real. God bless all of you soldiers & your families! Much love!
I hate when people refer the regular Army as “active duty”. First you can be active duty guard and reserves AGR. Secondly, deployment time in the guard and reserves is active duty. Third, guard and reserves deploy just as much as regular Army.
That guy looks like a good soldier💪🏽💚 THANK YOU BOLTENN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey man kind of late here, but I’m going to meps next week for national guard. I was just wondering once you sign your contract for the national guard would you be able to break that contract to go active duty or would you have too see that first contract out?
You can request to go active duty but usually they want you to do 1 year minimum or half of your contract. Talk to your NCO readiness and they will assist you once you are assigned to your unit and finish OSUT
You can be full time in the national guard, its called AGR
Yes but it’s extremely hard to get
It’s easier to go AGR if you’ve got active duty experience
@@leobusby3347 I got hired into the AGR program full-time as a MP. Its not that hard. It does take time though. Took me 6 months to get in from when I submitted my packet.
@@alaskatuff2048 I’m not an MP I’m an 88M
@@leobusby3347 did you see if yout state had any technican positions open?
Puro 956 here lol n thanks for the video man it helped a lot I’m actually waiting to go to meps for the National Guard I was hoping he would had said what happens to your rank when you switch to active or if it was difficult for him to go active after he got out ?
Most of the time you keep the rank
If I plan On going to college for a specific job should I go active duty or national guard, And Ben Why did you not pick national guard to pay for schooling?
Because you don’t get as much money from the National Guard. And if you want a specific job probably National Guard
@@TheBenAllen. are you talking about your pay getting paid on the 1st and 15th?
Go Active Duty I am in the guard its okay but promotion sucks.
Depends on your state in Florida u rank fast
Lol, active duty will take any National guard member. Try the other way is much harder
My Parents were in the Army National Guard Active Duty so you can be both.
Currently I’m gonna join the national guards, and I have a bachelor’s degree, but I’m just permanent resident, so how long it takes to be an officer? And what is the requirements?
You have a bachelor's and that's your grammar? Sheesh
