When I went through radio broadcasting school he was a constant example of the highest talent. There’s a video somewhere of him hearing a narration and speaking it on a small delay but because he’s listening to it and then just repeating it. Which if you’ve ever tried to do is insanely difficult and this dude just knocks it out. One of our finals was based off that e

The moment I saw Joe Rogan and Mike Rowe appear in my feed it was a no brainer that I'd watch. This is a way better conversation then any others I've listened to lately. P.S. I love Coffee with my Mother, Mikes mother is so fun and the way he interacts with her is heartwarming.

Mike Rowe is an anti worker piece of shit who has never worked a day in his life. He says dont follow your dreams, but he is an opera singer. He is a phony.
Me. He's actually kind of a douche Dude’s a Home Shopping Network hack that thinks because he worked a few menial jobs in his teenage years he has some kind of insight into how to “pull yourself up by the bootstraps”. He’s an actor who went into character and never came back out.

I could listen to Mike Rowe narrate the phone book. That is a real talent.....not since Paul Harvey has there been such a voice....a man. Great dude.
Agreed...not to many voices on earth if any could ever use the words "breeding in a cats ass" and captive every ear cause it's just so soothing.
So many people said that he jokingly did record himself reading the phone book. The video exists on RUclips somewhere.
I love Mike Rowe's rendition of The Grinch song. Have to listen to that at least once every Christmas season since I first heard it. Spectacular! 🧡

I delivered newspapers in the winter of 78-79. You're right, no days off. We delivered the morning and evening paper,
In Oklahoma City. I was 11. We walked, and our parents would drop us off at one end of the street and pick us up at the other. My brother and I. We had 15 routes. About 1500 papers. We had them all memorized. Then get home and get ready for school. Our day started at 200 am. Be at the docks by 3am to pick up our papers and delivered them all by 5:30am. It was hell, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
