Thank you for making such informative videos. You include the details we need to build with precision. Great work Ali!

I offset the horn a few degrees towards or away from the leading edge. ( depends on you pushrod placement)You get more resolution and travel for full flaps without having to get the servos from over reaching

Thanks Ali........ This would have been real handy a couple weeks ago!!! Hahahahaha.... I kept the body of the servo closer to the Root of the Center Section as that is the heaviest part of the servo. So my linkage came out of the slot closer to the tip. I used 12mm for the spacing moving the servo that much closer to the root of the Center panel. So far, so good. I wish we had some of your videos a few years ago. They have really helped me come up to speed doing these assemblies. Thanks Again! Weav

If I may ask, where did you get these frames for the Bluebird servos? I have these exact ones, but cannot find the frames for them. Many thanks for your excellent videos!

They are made by gcm, the maker of the model. I have spare if you need them. Email me through my site, flightcomp.com

Hi, have you some major indications about Elevator setting, Rudder settings (ho much throw)? I am looking for some indications about butterfly settings as well. On the flaps I am at 70 to 80% (which seems enough). On the aileron, I am on max +-15 mm throw. I followed your videos on Vertigo and I have chosen IDS links on ailerons and normal as per video on flaps. IDS was a bit of a challenge to fit servoholder into the servo bay. Tricky, but managed and it works fine and very tight and accurate. I might change system for teh flaps as well and convert to IDS, but first go for a maiden flight. Thank you

I don't use butterfly at all. Only flaps down. If you do use butterfly limit it to no more than 5mm up ailerons. If you have a light model it puts a lot of stress on the wings. I also feel that I lose roll response with up ailerons. I don't think you need butterfly or crow mixing at all. Try some tests with and without.
For rudder throw 30mm is ok. You can put in as much as you can get without binding pushrod. The model likes a lot of rudder. It's my primary flight control when thermalling. Elevator is just to your taste. It's not super critical. I probably have12-15mm up and little more down so I can push the nose down hard in contest landings with flaps out.

Superb indications. Thanks for input on butterfly, was not considering it could stress on the wings. I will make some adjustments and land with just flaps. So far have been flying with low wind and therefore may be I haven‘t noted any wing load. These indications are really very valuable. Thank you. I am really enjoying to fly this glider.

Hi, nice video, are you happy with the blue bird Servos? one more thing the method that u used with the flap horn pushing the rotation point forward would work on F3k gliders?or have u tried it on F3k gliders?
    Thanks

Yes X10 mini. I had to cut back mounting tab off and shorten servo tray to make it fit.
