- In this video I show you how to install my Hercules HE74 12" miter saw dust collection adapter. The 3D printed chute collects dust at the source before it becomes airborne and a giant mess.
Design credit to Jim Kramer of 2R-Ranch: / 2r.ranch Jim completed an initial design in January or February of 2023 and finalized this version in April-May with some additional features.

Just curious but why do you have the hose go under the miter joint instead of through the opening like the OEM dust collector?
Will this work with the hercules 12" compound miter saw (non-sliding)?

Any plans to do a similar setup for the HE78? Or is the HE74 fitting compatible?
I don't know if it's compatible, I need to look into that! Our local HF has also been shut down since April.
@@benchtopwoodworks I just looked at the manuals for both the HE78 and HE74. The rear blade guard for the HE78 is not the same as the HE74, so this dust collection system wouldn't be compatible without modification.
Looking forward to seeing the chute for the SKIL 10" SCMS too.
