hi from Australia. wat a great season of X, so well done to the top 3 n to all the other riders. big congrats to TB for 17. looking forward to watching the young guns push Toni even further.
ok, so at first I thought the judges messed up big time, however, the guys in the comments made two good points, he did exit the gate, and the time started 3 seconds after he entered, Im not mad anymore.
I don't think that was noted by the judges at all, but it may not count for 2 way sections as it's not the end of the section. The on screen countdown started a few seconds after he entered the section though, so he was just going to the back wheel on the last box when 1 minute had actually passed, so the 5 on time is fair. I wasn't one bit happy with the decision when I saw it first though, i would have been happier if they said it was because of the missed exit from the first direction, but he'd have got 5 at that point then.
@@peglor I'm pretty sure it counts both directions. You'll have to stay on the track from start to finnish. Also if they touch the floor with their foot after the first direction while making the turn, they'll get a mark. I think they double check the mistakes from cameras, because the judge on the floor clearly didn't see it and they don't always see everything.
They don't have to keep in between lines. He failed because it took him 1:03 to complete the section. Countdown started well after he entered section. @@metalzonemt-2
@@metalzonemt-2 I remember a year or two back, I think it was Haga, getting penalised on putting a foot down while doing the turnaround on a 2 way section because it was the first time he'd got to ride a 2 way section in Xtrial, so they're definitely watching for that. Logically I'd expect the riders to be required to finish the first direction landing either within the marked space or past it (Since plenty of times they fly right over the marked gate on the way out anyway and this doesn't get a penalty - the ones where they land off balance and crash immediately but all outside the marked exit also don't get penalised). This was very clearly a landing beside the marked area, so I suspect if the judge saw it it would have been an immediate 5, but the fail on time is also a fair judgement - the downside is it made Marcelli ride twice as far to get the same result, which may have affected him for the rest of the competition.
How did he not see marcelli had 3 points at 35:21 not 2 (skid plate was third point)! is the commentator blind? Pay attention. He also said 12 points when he clearly had 13.. then he corrected himself later.. come on
The trap consisted of “out and back”.It was on the “out” that he landed outside the white lines. The ground marshal didn’t catch that so he signalled 1 only, which made everyone feel robbed…. Including me! Sorry TB… your nemesis is nigh. I love TB, but the king is dead, long live the (new) king.
The countdown on the screen (Which is not the official time, even though it does seem to be connected to the buzzer) started a few seconds after Marcelli entered the section. His minute was up well before he exited - watch it again from 14:45 and check the time yourself.
Inside the buzzer and an outrageous decision. Jumped outside the gate or whatever excuse they want to give. If that is case then toni bou fails 25% of sections he's always outside the white lines. When showboating with his 180 turns he lands outside the lines.... like most sport protection to the top joke
I understand pushing the limits of your competitors and making a good show - but this just looks like putting your athletes at too great of risk. The athlete's are your assets!! protect them! when Bou's hand came off on section 3 because the gap was just enormous, not to mention section 5 - I thought you just ended his career! stupid course design there are other ways to make it more challenging than this too much risk
Making the distinction between difficult and dangerous seems to be very difficult for trials course designers unfortunately. They keep pushing everything higher and higher off the ground. I think most people who actually watch mototrials appreciate the technical aspects of the sport enough to know how difficult the sections are without every mistake being punished by a 3 meter fall, so the only reason they're building sections like this is to impress people who think they're looking at a circus show.
Play the section 3 replay in frame by frame and you clearly see Marcelli is past the exit line with 1 second to go!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with wayne5022 the oficiating was atrocious!!! More than once!!!
The time on screen is not the official section time. That countdown didn't start until a few seconds after Marcelli entered the section, so his minute was up as he back wheeled to the last box before the exit.
@@Develoquent Yes he was even worse in the qualifying, I'm not sure if he's there live and hasn't got a good vantage point as we can see on the camera? but it's not good
Thank you very much for the season.

What a tense final! Regardless what a brilliant season with these uploads, thank you and hopefully the same again next year 🙏🏻
The officiating was downright atrocious. The course layout also left a lot to be desired in my opinion.

Marcelli jumped outside the exit gate on the section 3, that's why he failed. You can clearly see that in 15:30.

Not marcelli but marceyyi😂😂
There needs to be a video replay challenge he got robed

Gabriel Marcelli Robbed with that 5 he were defo on the ground before the horn went
horn yes, but it semes like the official clock and the televised clock (and horn?) are not synced well. his timer startet way late in the video

kings of motosport
Gabriel was through Section 3 before the buzzer went off, he made it , clear to see in replay
VERY UNFAIR , WHY WAS THEIR NO REPLAY
he crossed the exit gate tape on the outward journey through the section 15:30

You are allowed to cross the vertical line but not the side lines.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. A course does not have to be dangerous to be challenging.

Bou is a beast but Busto is going to give him a run for his money in the future.
Marcelli was robbed, he should be the winner no question. Why don’t we see any replays?
I’m wrong, he beat the clock but upon review he landed out of bounds.

@@peglor Im guessing the horn means nothing then.
@@encryptor6710 I suspect it's linked to the onscreen countdown, but not the official stopwatch.
Commentator sucks, needs to learn how to count.
He messed up 3 or 4 times with counting points.. including thinking marceyyyyyyyi was at 2 points for the tiebreaker.. 35:20
