I have never understood the hate either because the folks putting them down haven’t done a third with their lives or hasn’t had success like what Nickleback has had. It makes no sense to me. Work at something half as hard as they do and let’s see where they get. So I say then go plant your ass on your couch and shut the hell up lol.

As a musician myself, I enjoy acoustic versions because it allows for people to hear the raw music and vocals(pain and emotions etc) through the music. 99.9% of pro artists, write everything on acoustic tracks and then translate it to electric to make it work. Shinedown acoustic in the studio is pretty amazing to hear in my opinion. Please check smith and Myers music

Underrated song, and a fun video if you get a chance to watch. You missed my favorite lines when you got distracted by the Pez dispenser bit: “'ll get washed-up singers writing all my songs; Lip sync 'em every night, so I don't get 'em wrong”. Lots of stories of performers lip-syncing lyrics and things going awful as a result.
This is one to watch a lyric video to since the lyrics are interesting and over the top. One Week by the Barenaked Ladies is another one. I hope you react to that one sometime, it's fun like this one is.

But their songs range wildly from extremely horny like Animals and Figured You Out to socially conscious, like If Everyone Cared.
