I wish they would add press conferences, player interviews, draft combines, a whole draft presentation, media bites about the state of the league and your team and things like that to really get involved with the players of the league, drafted and real. Player personality types and tendency settings like 2k basketball. Those things would add a personal element to each and every player making each franchise playthrough compelling and interesting. Another idea would be chemistry building. Imagine if a QB and a WR played with each other for 2 or 3 years and since that is the case they would develop chemistry. This should give bonuses in stats like accuracy to that reciever or better route running. Maybe even go a step further and make them perform better in the clutch together. If they added more of these dynamic types of gameplay to franchise mode it would make for some interesting gameplay and it would make it fresh and way more replayable.
@@darrenwildeman5276 in a sense i agree with you but to me i have seen it year in and year out where madden has taken a few steps in the right direction to somewhat appease some of the fans of the franchise and not necessarily fully commit to making an all inclusive madden experience that fans have wanted. In my opinion it's almost like throwing a dog a bone so that he doesn't complain about the steak he is not getting.
That's because every madden is basically just a roster update with a few new features. If they make more created player options. They won't make as much money.
The sad thing is anything not MUT isnt going to be getting attention because EA has proven they only care about money. Doesn't matter how unhappy the players are so long as they keep getting those guys willing to pay to make a great MUT team Franchise will go by the way side
I wish that MUT would just be it's own stand alone game with it's own team working on it and Franchise/ career mode would get it's own. Madden needs a Caeere mode where you can focus on on the field as well as on the field kinda like UFC3 did this year or how NHL used to have post game interviews would effect your stats and how your team/coaches/ and players around the league view you and play against and with you
You should be able to pick who makes prowl bowl but I don't want them to half as the helmets and uniforms and presentation. Do it right or don't do it in that's situation
Mike Lazzaro if they do, they’ll make it the only new add to franchise that year and use it as an excuse for the year as to why they didn’t add anything new besides the ability to play the pro bowl
Brandon Reck for me it seems like every franchise I do everybody turns into a 99 overall after four years. People like Tarik Cohen, Nick Chubb, and many more just make it unrealistic for me when everybody is great
Pj Schneider they had coordinators in older madden games. I especially liked when a player retired back in the older madden games, you could sign him as a coach or coordinator. was so much more in the older games that made franchise fun. now they take something out every year just to focus more on MUT. The ultimate team modes have killed all sports games.
That's the big thing. I understand that a "perfect" solution is never going to be available, but how is it that NCAA and 2k can add all these elements to their games and Madden programmers can't do the same? At this point, it's just greed and laziness - they only care about MUT because it's what makes them all the money.
Physics based gameplay. Get rid of the canned animations (yes video games need animations.. Madden needs the animations to be organic instead of canned) Player ratings need to actually matter. DDA needs to be removed at least for offline Franchise. If these things happen Madden could finally improve.
I agree. In madden 18 new players were breaking NFL records. It was fun. But it would be cool to see like best qbr over a season. YPC records and YAC over a season
Joshua Ebanks true bro, but we all know most (including me) madden players only play franchise..They HAVE to add more shit to Franchise. Not like 5 minor changes every 2-3 years. It’s ridiculous
@@ufiveeight2011 honestly if they could just fix the blocking, cpu pass blocking (which is rediculous, you can't get a sack even if you have Khalil Mack and von Miller and the slider is on like 15) and the all Madden bullshit where the corners and linebackers get a huge boost of speed and jump the routes and intercept it, I would be fine with the game. I like how they slowed the game down a bit compared to past Madden's so you can't just have 3 play drives that always result in touchdowns. But there's still cheese plays and stuff that you can exploit but if you avoid them the game play is alright
Look back at madden 07 franchise mode. Training camp mini games, pro bowl, customizable pre season, getting to play the senior bowl and run drills with draft prospects. And integrated radio show and totally customizable relocation teams. Old franchise mode had so much to offer.
Madden 11 probably had the best regression. I played it on the wii. Players would progress and regress on a weekly basis based on how they played in each game. Something madden 20 needs in franchise mode.
Totally agree with you there. But whats also a huge problem for me is the trade logic. You touched it a little bit, but in my Franchise I have completely given up on trading at all. Its just unrealistic. It would be so cool to have GM Philosophy for every team and the FA-Market, the scheme and said philosophy influence trade evaluation.
I want them to put retired players being available to sign as coaches like the older madden games had. I always liked signing a former player that was on my team as a defensive coordinator or head coach. Coordinators would be another thing they should put back into the game. right now, all you can sign coach wise is a head coach, trainer and scout, that's not realistic. I want to sign a offensive, defensive, and special teams coordinator,etc..... Career mode was awesome back in 06 07 and 08, was always fun not knowing where you would get drafted. So many things they have taken out of franchise since they put in MUT. Make MUT a stand alone game for the morons that want to blow all of there money on virtual cards/players that have no real world usefulness or value.
If franchise mode doesn't get a significant Improvement next year I just won't buy the game. The lack of effort they put into the franchise mode is disgraceful
I know this isn’t about franchise mode (amazing list btw) but player models in this game have been pretty bad for a while. Why does a 5’9 240 pound running back have the same body composition as 6’3 Derrick Henry for example. Height/weight should affect how a player looks and plays
Great list Marcus, you talked a lot about things that I have wanted to change. 4 things I would add, maybe in the future. 1.) I would like rookies ratings to be hidden for the beginning of their career, and slowly reveal itself over time. Maybe use letter grades so you know the kind of player they are but can't zero in on exactly their quality. This would lead to possible camp battles between rookies and veterans. Also, you wouldn't run into the issue of picking a guy high in the draft and instantly knowing he sucks, or picking a steal in the later rounds and instantly start him out of the gate in week 1. 2.) I would like to see more rotation options for certain positions. Running back splits are totally broken. Give each team maybe different preset options i.e bellcow, spell, split, stable, by-committee. This would make it so mediocre or even good and great running backs won't have 20-35 carries a game. That workload should be reserved for the true superstar tier of backs. Also D-linemen should be rotated as well. 3.) Finally, I think there should possibly be increased randomness in players quality of play and more volatile overall and attributes. Now, I worry that madden would overdue this, it is definitely a slippery slope. However, we see every season players way over perform or under-perform and over time change the way we perceive them. In madden, Adam Thielen, Richard Sherman, Tom Brady, Phillip Lindsay etc. would have come into the league as mid 60 overall players with normal development, and even if they played well they may have gotten a few overall but the chance of them developing into stars would have been negligible. I think Madden has made strides in this category but I still it could go a step further. If a player has back to back bad years and he's 27, I still think he should regress. Meanwhile, some 28 year old players may have an unexpected breakout year, possibly in a new scheme. Some players seem to elude father time and play longer than expected, while other players (especially ones with injury history) could decline earlier. Overall, I just feel like one of the reasons madden's franchise mode gets boring so fast, is there is just not enough unexpected stuff. No, that practice squad CB is not going to be a star or even a backup one day, even if he had an impressive camp. I just think there needs to be a little more unpredictability with regression and progression. 4.) This one is simple. Game day inactives. How is this not a thing? On game day teams dress 46 of their 53. During our franchise we should have to select who is not going to play that week. It would add a fair amount of strategy, especially if they finally have LS be an actual position in the game. I could add more, but these are some things I would like to see change along with a lot of what you said. I would love any feedback to these ideas. Thanks for reading if anyone actually did.
I like this list. I never thought about #1, but now I want it. For #2, I definitely agree and it should be for every position, especially dline, rb, and wr. As a pats fan (I mostly play as pats), I hate how I have to manually swap in and out rbs/wrs, depending on opponent and situation. I would love to preset all of that and play my rbs and to a lesser extent, my wrs like the pats and many other teams do. I've wanted ls position for the longest time now because I hate cutting joe cardona as a 27ovr te. And the game day inactives would indeed help with immersion as well as adding a pup list to go with the current ir.
Really agree with the Rookies slowly revealing their ratings. This would create realism for playing a late round pick. It’s really rare you ever see a late round pick irl start right away. They could go up and reward you, or more likely not and hurt you. Also it’s too easy not to get a bust in the first round. If the ratings slowly revealed, they could also possibly have a set range to go up (for certain ratings) or down based on the rookies play.
I like the idea of slowly revealing rookie traits. This would help strengthen a need for training camp which would allow you to schools between working out the rookie to reveal these skills and traits or allowing a veteran to add some quick skill development before the season. It would add a layer of strategy of do I build for the future or win now mentality.
Yup. I don't even play MUT. I don't play ultimate team in any EA game, I don't play MyTeam in 2K. I'm exclusively a franchise mode player. Which is probably the reason why I'm so unhappy with most of the sports games. But it's not a cash grab for them, so they don't care.
My league fixes regression until people are 32 for everything except QB and lineman which we fix until 34 (and qbs past that as long as they meet a criteria in stats) and rb who we dont Fix at all. They also need to realize that not all positions start regressing at the same time.
Great ideas also they need to remove were you can just take any Player and jack all there stats too 99.what's the point of an upgrade system when you can just do that
trevor wanner yeah I agree I made a character that was peyton Manning son and my first season Eli was still playing but then all of sudden he disappeared the next season and I had no idea where he went.
They should have a G.O.A.T MODE to see how many Super Bowl Banners you can hang in your stadium over your players career n they actually remain in the stadium as the years go on. Change the super bowl celebration, add more stadiums when u want to rebuild or relocate, historical teams, relive each super bowl 1-53 including the stadiums with it and both teams with full rosters you can choose to change history or keep it the same, add NCAA in the franchise mode have player start from high school playoffs go to a college with option to enter draft after sophomore season where you will start a rivalry with a player that will continue through out the franchise mode until you retire after your career is over you have the option to retire n become a HC,OC,DC, create your own super bowl rings once u win it in your franchise year after year just to start
This video deserves endless likes. But as someone who simulates the majority of their Franchises (similar to you), I think you forgot arguably the largest problem of Madden 19’s Franchise Mode. The Sim Engine! Or lack there of to be honest since I’m not even sure one exists. I understand the NFL is random, but my 90+ overall teams should not routinely finish below .500 while the Bills in year 2 go 13-3 and make the Super Bowl. 71 Overall QB’s should not light up the league while my 90+ overall star QB throws for under 4000 yards with 15 INTs. And this goes for the ‘in game quick sim’ and week to week simulation in the menus. It’s like the ratings don’t even matter and it just spits out random results and it’s incredibly frustrating when you take the time to build a great team that fits a scheme only for them to just be blown out for no reason. The playbooks also mean something (Washington’s offense always gives me extremely boosted run numbers) and we have 0 explanation for it. If that doesn’t get fixed for Madden 19 there’s honestly not much point in even having the Franchise Mode.
Also I think that the overall gameplay experience, especially against all madden difficulty needs completely overhauled, way to difficult to get good realistic but also challenging gameplay against the cpu
I recently played NBA 2K18 for the first time, and I was super impressed with that Franchise Mode. The offseason is easily the best and most interesting offseason in any sports game I've ever played, and the number of stats, advanced stats, and records that game keeps is staggering. An example of one of the more interesting and fun offseason aspects was the Winter Meetings. Every offseason there would be 5 to 10 proposed rule changes that can range from changing playoff seeding, allowing offensive goaltending, to changing how fouls and foul-outs work. It added a really interesting dynamic to the offseason that made things pretty fun. This might just be me, but I always want to play a CB or a Safety, and...it's always more frustrating than fun. The camera doesn't help, because if I'm playing a CB in the Red Zone I'm rarely able to actually see my player pre snap. And for some reason the QB will never throw in my direction unless I'm allowing separation on the reciever, no matter how bad that QB is. They'll force throws to other receivers, but never to the guy I'm covering. Which leads to multiple games where the ball will just never get thrown to my side of the field.

2k18 is lierally the worst basketball game in the 2k franchise.....😴😴
One thing I think we need to change is adding a veteran’s bonus. Something that rewards keeping older players on roster their teaching value to younger players, if you have Aaron Rodgers on roster Deshone Keizer should progress more quickly or better than he did/would on a team like the Browns or Jaguars. A young player will learn from an older one common sense right. On the non-franchise thing player play styles should be more prevalent, Big Ben loving to force the ball to AB needs to be more obvious it’ll lead to more ints but also way more yards and TDs as well while conversely Rodgers hates throwing picks (evident by both his INTs this year being off a tipped pass by his own TE) so Rodgers should not, unless it is a Hail Mary or other need to move the ball situation, force throws into coverage he should be throwing a lot more of the WR catches it or no one does balls. Just something that could be added to the AI I feel very easily.
Off topic but have you ever considered making a NCAA 14 series? I’d love to see you do a dynasty and I’m sure others would too. Love what you’re doing bro
-a in depth career mode it doesn’t have to be like a chose your own life but it can to follow a path -allowing the user to scramble with the qb and not have it be sluggish -realistic side line animations (if your team scores a touchdown have them cheering instead of having the same generic animations for anything that happens) -if you run out of bounds and hit your coach he would fall down like in the older maddens -improved offensive line blocking -let me be able to chain juke moves together like in ncaa 14 instead of just being able to pull of one dramatic juke -change the running animations they looked hunch over when they run -an actual create a team option -different types of hair for a created played say if I want a certain type of face but that face doesn’t have dreads but I want dreads it doesn’t work -not having scripted blocked kicks/punts don’t make it impossible in past maddens and ncaa but make it relevant sometimes -let’s have a little bit of trick plays like a flea flicker or a wr pass -in franchise/career u should be able to have shell practice (shoulder pads but no pants and helmet) or just a practice with helmets and not have game jerseys during practice -add a pro bowl please we have been asking for this forever -a little combine if their not going to have a actual career mode
I just want realistic contracts for each position, and for the cpu to be more realistic when building a roster, instead of the chiefs drafting a qb and putting Maholmes on the trade block in the second year
THIS! I'm in my third year of my Giants franchise, and the Vikings went 0-16 and with the first overall pick in the draft they chose a defensive tackle... I was like maybe they're defense sucks, when I went to check the overalls of all of their defensive players they were all in the high 80s, like wtf
I think there should be some kind of hidden regression trait or rating that’s randomized. I’m fine with a pro bowler falling of the cliff in his next year. It happens. I would like to see coordinates and a deeper coach skill tree added also. But they need to have a clever way of handling regression for coaches. My 2 request would be a improved injury/wear and tear system. Second would be hide rookie ratings! Teams don’t know what they have right away. There could be a system that allows rating to slowly be revealed to you. This would also make preseason finally be more interesting.
Honestly what still pisses me off is that when you get a forced fumble sack it doesn't even count as a sack as it would in the NFL. Like that is a minuscule change and if memory serves it's that way for at least 4 games. Also, why can't you see what players were drafted while the draft is happening?
Simple things to add, contract extensions, let me resign a guy when he still has time on his contract, and let me have more trade slots, let me have 5-10 slots to make the trade go through and let me have my draft picks to trade away 3 years down the road, not the current and next, let me have now, next and the one after next, also let scheme fits snd team overall actually take a play into free agency or the style of of offense defense I play, if I throw a lot let me have a boost with wr, or if I run a 3-4 DTs will be a little harder to get
Another possible change could be to make each week's match ups more in depth would help each game feel different. Eg, Knowing how my offensive line matches up against a d line. Or can my corners cover their receivers 1v1 would help with play calling throughout the game. This could be added to the preview page while training. Little tweeks like that I think would help make each week feel like it's a different challenge.
My biggest pet peeves is A if the clock stops on 3rd down you don’t have the option to go for it it just sims to the punt and B if you score a td you can’t look at the play in replay cause it just sims to the extra point. I hate that if I make a crazy td catch or run I can’t look at it in the theatre mode
One thing I'd love is a superstar mode where you create a character that you play with from high school to the NFL where you choose your "college school", do the combine, basically Longshot but with your own character, without some of the stupid gameplay mechanics of Longshot, where it's kinda like a TellTale game where you choices effect the story and how certain trades, signings, and releasings happen.
They should add a Regression skill for each player (i.e like speed, awareness, cathcing, etc.) That way the regression is more on an individual thing, so someone like Gronk regresses really fast due to past injuries and other less injury prone players are less likely to regress as bad. You can also do something like each injury has a certain severity and that severity can affect that players regression stat so they regress harder based on their past. Another really good thing EA could add is some sort of Chemistry system as football is the ultimate TEAM game, yet its got nothing related to chemistry whatsoever. Even if it's just something simple like players from the same schools, players that have been on the same team for a while (to incentivise people sticking with one group of guys and truly developing them since their chemistry would build along the way) and more. This is all way to much to ask of EA since they're the king of re-releasing the same game every year but a boy can dream x(
Yes this is also a little thing but scheduling needs to be fixed week 17 games should always be division games it’s unrealistic and takes away fun from the hardcore franchise players as well as the games in the future are off like the packers play at Kansas City next year but when I load up my game in 2019 I’m facing the Chiefs at home
I’ve been playing madden since the year 2000; you’re the only person I’ve ever heard who approaches the game as realistically as I do. It’s refreshing to hear somebody know what they’re talking about. You nailed it with bringing up an in-depth coaching tree system, advanced stats categories, realistic draft prospects and turning down the auto regression system. I’m going to go over a few things that you didn’t mention. • the animated rookie pictures need to be completely replaced • difficulty system is broken, needs to be tuned • relocating a franchise needs to feel more authentic, it’s boring and awful and feels forced • more detail into defense + offense schemes • tight ends are still overpowered • player accessories looks cheesy and half-assed • only a handful of players have their real life appearance, a ton of star players still have a cheap/fake auto generated face. fucking pathetic • improved commentary • improved pre game activity / halftime / post game • add in some fun features like interviews, spotlighting players who are on hot streaks, popping up key stats in red zone situations, etc
There’s so many great ideas that could make this game amazing, and it’s not like I won’t play it next year again because I love madden but I can’t help feeling that if we had a competitor to Madden they’d be doing a bit more to improve year to year
Great video, but something else EA could definitely improve on (and they have done this before) is making player franchises much more fun and unique. Right now its basically just "Pick a archetype, pick a team, be late round, early round, or undrafted", which may sound fine at first but it really limits your freedom in franchise. I think they could add in something like the older Maddens had (I think) where you would go to the combine, pick traits and such, and then get drafted by a team whenever your player should've been drafted. Just having a player with a few set playing styles, and a prechosen team makes the experience a lot less personal with the player's, player.
Also could we get some actually expansion teams where I start out with an absolute trash team with nothing but free agents and have to build them up instead of just relocating regular teams
Love it but my Madden Wish list is totally different Madden Wish List Deep Pass (higher completion %) Corners are overpowered on Deep Pass Fly Route Better QB Pocket Presence and Better Scrambling AI adjust to the way you’re playing the game (Deter ppl from cheesing plays) Give everyone better sideline awareness and catches - QB shouldn’t stupidly lead RB out of bounds Make/Reward QB’s to step up into the pocket Play Action takes Way too long to develop Some Gameplay sliders don’t work Let us make our own plays Better system to study opponents (franchise) Madden should coach users better (Franchise) Hire/Fire Coordinators & have coordinators have their own tendencies Offensive Lineman should be able to get injured. SuperSim (offense only, can’t kick extra point or go for two) Sometimes Don’t have the option to return punts Kick and Punt Return should have higher chance to take it to the house Make running game easier to control and hit big holes effortlessly Once in a while have Madden notify you what you could be doing better (in gameplay) Ability to make your own team and download custom teams (like trading paints) Give settings to fine tune your controller’s sensitivity and adjustments like that
Jacaso Asheland in madden 25 they had a real problem with people taking it to the house every time, that’s why they changed it in madden 15 where they can’t sprint and move easily. I remember it being so easy that I could win with the browns cause I couldn’t be stopped on kickoffs
Liked and insta-subbed because I've been a Madden Franchise player since back in the PS-1 days. I was once a "buy every year" guy but now, I only update my Madden when I see there has been significant improvement in Franchise mode. Otherwise I just play the same version and take a franchise for a long ride. I am currently still playing Madden 17 so forgive me anything here is off base. Mind you, these are things that were actually in Madden at some point and for some reason got removed. 1. Ability to re-structure veteran contracts at any time - For Franchise players this is a key to managing salary cap 2. Head Coaches don't always leave after 3 years, especially if you pay them well 3. Ability to assign Captains and see the badge on the uniforms. Cmon EA....If its in the game.... 4. Fan cut scenes - part of NFL Sunday is the emotion of the game from a fans view. Bring back those cut scenes. I used to love the one scene from pre-game where a guy is ambling to his seat and a female fan who is already seated, annoyingly ushers him past. That's a real part of the Sunday experience, bring those back and have the ability to turn those scenes off / on in settings. 5. Weekly and Season End wrap up shows.
That Franchise Guy, I figured out how to rectify a lot of the issues in the defensive pass game. Pretty much just take all the CPU & Hum sliders and drag them to '0.' The only ones that should have any rating higher than '0' are QB Accuracy: 7; Fumbles: 100; WR Catch & Int: Your Preference; Kick, Punt & Kick-Off Power: Your preference, along with all Penalties: 1. This may sound crazy but the Tackle slider affects everything about defense. It affects how defensive players tackle, block shed/pass rush, how successful the defense reads play action from the offense, and the ability to react in pass coverage. The Fumble slider effects ball tangibility. So this needs to be set at '0' so you don't have the ball phasing thru players for magical receptions. Yes, you'll fumble more but this will place an added importance on ball security and make playing defense even more exciting because it means you can be one big hits away from a momentum-shifting play. It also prevents cheese from people using a running back that's 60 OVR with 95 speed (SPD) but has 72 carry (CAR) and no ball security traits. Oh yeah, Speed Threshold is set to '0' as well. This makes the speedsters faster obviously. But also causes the pass rush to close-in on the QB even quicker because the keys to DE & DT quick closing speed within 10 to 15 yards is a combination of acceleration (ACC), agility (AGI), & pursuit (PUR). AGI is more important actually than fineness (FMV) & power move (PMV) for an elite pass rusher because it determines how fast they can move around o-linemen. PUR helps determine the best angle-of-attack on the ball carrier and the fierceness of how they approach their tackles. High PUR coupled with the Big Hitter trait can make a poor tackle rated defender at least attempt more wrap-up form tackles and big hits when controlled by the CPU than the timid arm tackles typically seen. PUR also helps in man coverage (MCV) when using the trail technique. Most o-linemen only have AGI in the mid 60's at best, while an elite pass rusher will have AGI mid-70s to mid-'80s. AGI for all positions helps determine how much speed is maintained when the player changes direction. AGI is why some player feel like F-1 race cars when turning and others like F-150s. A high AGI & elusiveness (ELU) for ball carriers will make hitting wholes easier and sudden change of direction against defenders more brutal. ELU also helps with route running (RR). What I basically do is play with the minimum slider input as possible to allow player ratings to speak for themselves. And in my opinion, I love it. These settings place a tremendous importance on gang-tackling. You see a genuine difference in runningback play as well. Top rated guys like Gurley, Elliott, & Barkley typically aren't going to be tackled by your 3rd string corner in the open field if he doesn't have a perfectly square shot on them. And even then, if that corners tackle rating is only 54, being perfectly square with leverage, he still likely won't win if the running back has a head of steam. I've noticed with these settings if a defender is not driving their feet on the tackle, the ball carrier will run thru what will end up being an arm tackle attempt. I've also noticed that putting the QB accuracy at 7 allows me to have more control of ball placement on timing routes. I've on several occasions can throw open a 65 (RR) receiver against a Stephon Gilmore or Patrick Peterson if they play off-man or zone coverage with a leverage advantage in the route. I still throw a pick from time to time. But as long as my receiver has leverage and the timing is right in the route, 70% of the time, the ball will be placed where only my receiver has the best chance to catch it. There are decent physics in the game. It's just the sliders actually get in the way of good gameplay because if they are in full effect, no matter the caliber of player on the field. The sliders forcibly say that a 64 OVR corner is going to play like Deion in his prime if you give him sliders of 50 Int, Tackle & Pass Defense reaction. Lastly, I suggest playing with the Fatigue slider at 100 and the Injury slider at 1. Though it may not seem like it, awareness (AWR) & stamina (STA) are the two most important ratings when it comes to 1-on-1 matchups on the field. Example: a 95 OVR RE can be effectively neutralized if his STA is only 75, while an 80 OVR LT's STA is 85. The STA rating is what allows the player the chance to perform a successful second or third move while engaged with an opposing player. Strength (STR) matters somewhat too, but AWR & STA are the major driving factors in having success in individual match-ups. AWR helps both off & def make a play on the ball/catch it. In some cases, player AWR matters more than the catch (CTH) rating for interceptions (INT). While zone coverage (ZCV) helps determine the best angle-of-attack on the ball/swat or attempt INT. MCV/RR determines the separation gained or lost between WR & DB during cuts in routes. Bonus: This is what I suggest setting your sub-rates for every position when playing Franchise or MUT. Use Sub In: 91; Sub Out: 90. This sub-rate will ensure your backups get adequate playing time during the season to develop and prevent starters from getting injured. As long as you're using my slider set. Yes, O-linemen and starting secondary will sub-out which may seem a little unrealistic since starting o-line and secondary rarely sub-out if they're not hurt. But remember with my sliders, a fresh 2nd or 3rd string player has a slight advantage in individual matchups against a fatigued starter. I also, suggest raising or lowering the sub-rates based on your starters STA rating. Starters with STA in the 90's you may want to raise the sub-out setting so as in real-life if you have Julio Jones complete a 70 reception that doesn't score. He'll sub out for a play or two to catch his breath. Rather than after a successful 70 catch, then you immediately the next play as he still winded tell him to run a deep in-route where he gets tattooed by an LB or safety and ends up hurt for the game or maybe even season because you weren't being a tactician with your deep shots and assumed there'd be no consequence running him down the field as is he was Sea Biscuit. Second Bonus: With my slider set for a player to be considered a true speed demon, their SPD & STA rating need to be both at least 93. That's the threshold where they can run the entirety of the field and not be completely depleted in the STA meter that determines how long they can hold their top speed. If a player is taller (6'2" +) and has let's say 94 SPD & 90 STA they might be able to blaze the entirety of the field and not be caught on an angle from behind because their stride eats up more ground. Also, if you didn't punch sprint until you were right on top of the whole giving you a path to the endzone that you only had to make one or two guys miss that didn't drastically affect a huge decrease in your momentum. But shorter guys have to be at least 93 SPD & STA to threaten as a Devin Hester would returning a kick from anywhere on the field.
Now that Madden is on PC, there are a ton of things they could add that probably aren't feasible in the console editions. Great list. Some of these may have already been mentioned, but I would add the following: 1) On the team and league schedule pages, have the record of the team next to the team name. Often when I'm playing I don't want to back out and go to the standings page just to see the record of my next or upcoming opponent. 2) In the depth chart section, have an option to view information about a player like you can in the roster section. 3) Have a Playoff Picture section (maybe starting midseason) showing the playoff seed order and who has been eliminated from playoff contention. 4) Access to game results and records for previous seasons, including playoffs. 5) They need to fix the MVP and, especially, Coach of the Year. Just because you have the best record in the league doesn't mean you should be COTY. 6) The ability to add expansion teams like NBA2K has. 7) Make computer action trade deadline transactions more like the NFL. This year you saw a flurry of activity (bad teams dumping heavy payroll players for picks, good teams adding for the playoff run, etc.). 8) Player retirement announcements in offseason before the season starts or in-season. Some players don't know then, which is fine, but some do, and this adds to the emersion in knowing your old steady player is playing his last season. - This is a lot to ask I'm sure, but like I said with the PC version of games you see a hell of a lot more options (and MODS) than you do the console games. I play Madden purely for Franchise mode. I just wish I knew how to make games otherwise I'd create a coach/owner exclusive game that sole focused on career franchise.
Spot on with what you said about coaching in franchise and offseason training. Example players like Jerry Rice/ Tom Brady never seem to regress and a big part of I believe is how they train(ed) in the offseason. Plus a lot of development happens in the offseason due to training. Love the ideas and this video! It would be cool if they listed QBR rating. Coaches should impact teams too. They really don't in current Madden. I think one year they had coordinators that would boost certain atributes of players. That would tie into schemes run too. Offensively and defensively. Awesome video!
Happy to catch a video of yours it been awhile. Always appreciate the depth and rosters. Thanks for the depth you go into. Hoping it helps to make a difference.
@thatfranchiseguy There’s an amazing roster editing tool for pc Madden 19 called Madden AMP. It allows you to edit everything about players, teams, depth charts, etc. You could save hundreds of hour if you used it. Allows you to edit age, dev trait, Player Portrait, equipment, all ratings, height, weight, contract, contract structure, All traits, etc. You can even edit teams. So if you wanted to have the Bears be called the Broncos and play in the Broncos stadium you can do it. It’s a tremendous tool that you NEED to be using asap!
Great vid. Can not agree more. I can't count the amount of times that I've lost a superstar because of a RIDICULOUS contract. I really hope ea sees this. This was the first vid of yours that I saw and I immediately subbed, keep up the great work
The coaching thing you mentioned used to be in the older Madden games. You could hire all three coordinators and coaches. You could promote coaches on your staff, hire and fire at your leisure. You could even take recently fired head coaches and make them a coordinator on your team. I once hired Andy Reid to be my Offensive Coordinator after he got fired from the Eagles. They also had a much more robust relocation system and stadium building, where you could design everything from new logos and uniforms, where the player tunnel would be located, artwork on the sidelines, etc. When you move a team nowadays you get 3 preset teams and 5 preset stadiums. Each one more boring and uninspiring than the last. Madden 05 had more content than Madden 19 could ever hope to have.
I would actually love it if weight and height mean something in the game. Also being a fan of NFL Head Coach, the old EA game, I'm not sure why they haven't just thrown that whole entire gameplay suite into Madden. I think that game did some great things and brought a level of immersion to football games that we haven't seen since its release in 06. Also nice video. You popped up in my feed and I've been enjoying some of the stuff you have posted. Stellar work. Cheers.
Get rid of the new progression system and bring back XP players upgrade way to slow top 3 draft picks will take atlest 4 years to hit even a 80 ovr. And if your team is rebuilding the players who you drafted regression Is head scratching.Base it off how the player plays Get rid of the Scheme Fit RBT made a video where he rebuilt the broncos and his team had a top 10 player at every position and his team went 5-11 even though there was superstars at every position. It strickens you too one playstyle and you won’t even have a fun time building a team of your liking. Fix auto generated players everything Make a view history like 2k, how do I know if the team I’m facing won the Super Bowl Last year Player view history how do I know the player I’m signing made the pro bowl last year Fix financial and contracts Add in pro bowl game every sports game let us play the all star game Also add a casual to experience or a hardcore experience like 2k my gym has Franchise plays more like a my gym than a actual franchise get rid of editing attributes
I've said it before and I'll say it again. All I want for Madden 20 is a coach's mode where you choose plays for your team to run. The other stuff would be pretty sick, too. But, if I get myself a coach's mode, I'll be happy.
That reminds me of Madden head coach 09, Which was a very fun game if you're into fantasy football and simulation madden. It be cool to see them integrate something like that into a new madden game
I like a lot of these suggestions! A couple of other additions that I personally would like to see added which (I think) shouldn't be hard to implement 1. Team Captain actually have an effect. I love the idea of team captains but I wish they had a tangible effect on the game (like a player designated as team captain could either receive a stat boost or boost others in his position (team captain at WR boosts the other WRs on the team). You could also put in a system where players have a desire to be captain and if they don't get that honor, they are mad and demand a trade, don't play with confidence, or demand higher pay raises. 2. Players with personalities or emotions. As mentioned in the team captain, real-life players have their own desires and wants. Some are team players to the end while others may just want the highest paycheck possible at their position. These could even affect how players play on the field (a more arrogant or brash QB may be willing to take chances or a RB in a contract year may want the ball 20+ times a game). Implementing a system of personalities that differ for each player would add a lot of immersion into the game. 3. Suspensions. Players in real-life get suspended either for drugs, off-field activities, coaches decisions, etc. Tied in with player personalities, make a system where players can be suspended by the coach/owner. This could then affect fan and media approval and even affect sales of the team. Heck, allow the player to just randomly suspend players just for fun! 4. Non-stat stats. You mentioned it in your video but the biggest one for me is defensive backs who don't allow catches when covering the best receiver. Those DBs generally get little to no stats (no balls are thrown their way) but are among the best in the league at their position. There should be a way to accurately record those stats. This also includes (QB pressures/hits, double teams, etc.)
Love the video! It has been touched on by a couple people in the comments but I wish they would add more relocation cities and the ability to rearrange divisons and conferences. Also like 2K does be able to create your own jerseys and customize your new stadium once you relocate, not the preexisitng jerseys when you relocate. They can do so much more for franchise.
Great video. I get so frustrated with the crappy draft classes once you sim out 3 years. I just went though a draft in which 1 WR in the entire draft class was a possession receiver. Hard to add players to your team if your scheme needs that type. At least I found the draft pick trade chart online which allows me to ALWAYS trade my 6th & 7th round picks for a 5th, and then trade two 5ths for a 4th, etc. and basically just draft 5 decent players each year. If they could just give you a nice draft chart that shows who owns each pick without having to go team by team in the trade window, that would help too. Trading in general would be greatly improved if you could ask what the other team wants for one of their players instead of guessing what the bare minimum would be to get that player. Also, no CPU teams trade with each other during the draft, or at least it's not shown if they trade then.
A couple of things I want to see added (taking ideas from other games), the ability to carry your franchise from 19 into 20 like in the MLB The Show and the rule changes, expansion, and the ability to change the cap without removing it entirely from NBA 2K. Also, though I understand why they limit the mode to 30 years (when you're controlling one person, it doesn't make sense to control person for 80 years), a longer Franchise would be great. MVP Baseball 2005 had a 120 year Dynasty. Also, it would be cool if they implemented those advanced stats NBC displays for every field goal, where they show the height, angle, and the estimated distance that the kicker could make if every criteria was recreated. Lastly, though also not a Franchise specific one like the field goal one, I would love if they added more interesting plays, such as bringing back the surprise onside kick from Madden 12, the ability to create formations and plays (but a lot better than the PS2 era, when you couldn't create play action passes or even have motion in custom playbooks).
This video offers some solid input. Here are some of my requests: Generated rookies and players of all positions being referred to by their actual names by in-game commentary. Statistical reset: the ability to edit a veteran player back to a rookie, wiping out existing stats and eradicating any necessary records from the book. Legends in Franchise mode as rookies. This is quite simple: make the “play now” legend rosters fully customizable, including the ability to drop them into free agency or swapped to an existing usable franchise mode roster. The ability to set these legends and rookies back to rookies and wiping out past stats and records should apply here too, once in the franchise mode (This is a feature in NBA 2k19). A fully customizable league in franchise mode: this would allow the user to switch/swap teams from the divisions/conferences, create an expansion team, and adjust the number of reg season and playoff games desired (A feature in the NFL Fever series). NFL reset: the ability to reset the NFL as if it was established in 2019, wiping out the entire history and resetting all players to rookies. The ability to play players in different positions... I.e. bringing in a DT at RB. More relocation settings, including uniform options. Bring back historic coaches: I loved using Bill Walsh. More records in the book: single plays, kicking, punting, and team records (Also a feature in the NFL Fever series). A better Hall of Fame: ability to view players in a “head bust” setting that tracks stats and records (now it’s just a list and if they seize to exist). Team history tracker of records and players, I.e. Ring of Honor and the option to retire jerseys. That’s just off the top
All of those suggestions were great and I don't see why they can't add those next year. Plus, the whole player game grade thing would be so cool to see.
(First time on your channel) I don’t if you play any NBA 2k, but a lot of features you pointed out (like the Fifth Year Option) are present in the 2k Franchise modes. There are plenty of more features in 2k that would definitely benefit Madden’s Franchise, if you haven’t you should take a look.
I love you talked about coaching carousel. I've been wanting this in madden for the longest. My idea for this was not only for OFF and DEF coordinators but for QB coach or DB coach where you only control those positions and work you way up to be a OFF or DEF coordinator. Teams hire you because you fit the scheme they have, and get promoted or become interim coach after your team has done bad and you have done well. You also can have say in picks in the draft by earning scouting skills or Free Agent scouting skills or nagociation skills for free agency. You can do so much adding a coach tree to Madden! Main reason I still play NCAA 14 on PS3.
I would love to see more realism in Player Franchise. I would love to be able to just select my position and 'what position in the draft do you want to be' (or if you want to get more advanced, add combine/workouts to determine your draft position rather than just selecting it for stats) and then having no control over where I get drafted. Also from my experience, I want there to be a chance to be cut at the end of pre-season, or perhaps four weeks into the season suddenly I get a notice that I've been traded to another team. Also having your position switched. I have played games where I am playing on defense and suddenly I switch from a 3-4 to a 4-3 or vice versa and now perhaps rather than being a LB I would be a better fit at DE etc. Also on a completely different note. Ability to play on both side of the ball in general. As a Titan's fan, I wish I had more freedom to put Adoree Jackson into offensive plays while still having him on defense.
Add in the 5th year options for first round rookies. After players third year you get choice to accept or decline option on player giving you an extra year of him being under contract. This how Rams and Eagles are able to build contender before paying QB big money.
There needs to be a Run After Catch archetype for receivers. It’s impossible to upgrade juke moves, spin, etc for wide outs. It’s especially frustrating when every receiver in the draft has no run after the catch ability even if they’re deep threats.
Great stuff! I agree with several points that you made. The problem is you went into extreme CFM depths. Most of which means nothing to the average CFM player.
One other simple thing that should be implemented and could be as simple as a patch. Allow me to select specific auto subs/coaching adjustments in game. Like, if I want Jabrill Peppers to cover the tight end on every passing down or whenever he lines up wide that should be an option, not just cornerback matchup by overall. I should not have the "rush end" playing 80% of the snaps on defense that should be implemented on obvious passing downs not just the nickel defense on 2 and 4.
One other minor thing they should add is you should be able to see what team a player played for in their previous seasons when looking through stats. I know it's a small detail, but it would be cool to see and wouldn't be something major considering the game used to have it.
I think these are super down the road things. They'd be really cool but some framework needs to be established before this happens.
The White Stallion yeah like 2k
Something like nba 2k19s my league would be nice.
They need to have a pro bowl
They need to add more created player faces. We’ve had the same terrible default faces in Madden for many years
It sucks playing so many franchises seeing your same star over again. Makes them not as special after awhile
And new QB cadences too
I am a 19 year old fully bald person with a full beard cause it made me look like a terrorist if I went through anything else
Personally I feel like MUT is one the worst things to happen Through Football games in the last 15 years imo
Ultimate Team has hurt every sports game
Profit Duck true
100%
I wish that MUT would just be it's own stand alone game with it's own team working on it and Franchise/ career mode would get it's own. Madden needs a Caeere mode where you can focus on on the field as well as on the field kinda like UFC3 did this year or how NHL used to have post game interviews would effect your stats and how your team/coaches/ and players around the league view you and play against and with you
If it felt like they put more into the game with that extra line of revenue it would be ok. But I feel like everything else takes a back seat to MUT.
They need to add a pro bowl week. Where you can play the pro bowl and switch out players
Mike Lazzaro
They’re excuse is that the game can’t handle all the helmets that need to be loaded in.
I don’t even care if they can’t put the team specific helmets right now. Can’t we just play the pro bowl even if it’s just generic helmets
@@Nickyy64 they could just use generic afc/nfc red&blue helmets
We need a regression slider, and we need one bad.
Brandon Reck yeah big time
The second you hit 29 you just start to suck at football apparently.
Dylan Clemento I know and 29 is nothing look at Tom Brady he is 40
Christian White 41
Brandon Reck for me it seems like every franchise I do everybody turns into a 99 overall after four years. People like Tarik Cohen, Nick Chubb, and many more just make it unrealistic for me when everybody is great
I don’t get why they can’t add coordinators and coach skill trees when they literally have it stored away somewhere from NCAA
THEY NEED TO ADD COORDINATORS TO MAKE IT MORE REALISTIC!!
i agree bringing back hiring and firing Offensive and defensive coordinator would make the game more fun again
Madden needs the animations to be organic instead of canned)
Player ratings need to actually matter.
DDA needs to be removed at least for offline Franchise.
If these things happen Madden could finally improve.
This is super minor but I can’t believe we don’t have a more in-depth NFL Records lists and just a SuperBowl history chart
With all the stats football goes into you are totally right
Especially because they used to have this feature. No reason to have stopped
I agree. In madden 18 new players were breaking NFL records. It was fun. But it would be cool to see like best qbr over a season. YPC records and YAC over a season
They mention it in commentary but it wont benefit players at all
If they had what 2k has for terms going into the past and stuff, and like retiring jerseys
Tbh Madden should mainly focus on franchise but they won’t
I like ultimate team because I can have legends and shit. Hate packs though.
Franchise mode dont make money. That's why they wont.
The problem is, in franchise there is no micro transaction. In mut, they make money on packs
Joshua Ebanks true bro, but we all know most (including me) madden players only play franchise..They HAVE to add more shit to Franchise. Not like 5 minor changes every 2-3 years. It’s ridiculous
Paulo S I say screw franchise and make career mode start in high school all the way to nfl
They should also add the nose tackle position. There is a difference between a DT and a NT.
Antonio Williams yeah it’s be super simple just make it a specialist position like the rushing end or sub lb
They used to have it
Would love Special Teams Depth Chart and LS. I don’t want my starting offensive lineman on kick return lol.
TJ Foulks Yeah. Long snappers are people too
@@applecyderisawsome A LS roster spot would be nice to have his own position so there's no 40 over all tight ends
1. Game play that isn't ass
The animations are so clunky, blocking logic is broken and way too many money plays/exploits. No other sports game has these. gameplay. Is. Ass.
Really tho this why I still play 18 they need to go back to the madden 18 Mechanics
You mean you dont like getting sucked into animations whennthey are 5 yards away?
😂😂
All the things we asking for, were in the Madden 08
Ikr!! Even the soundtracks in the older maddens 06-09+ were straight fire!!!
And Madden 10 and 09
Look back at madden 07 franchise mode. Training camp mini games, pro bowl, customizable pre season, getting to play the senior bowl and run drills with draft prospects. And integrated radio show and totally customizable relocation teams.
Old franchise mode had so much to offer.
Trevor Hubert 07 was the best man. Even the soundtrack was fire
So what the fuck happened? No Fun League is what happened.
Was in love with it 😍
That’s the year I got hooked on Madden. Smh
Best ever
Man you are absolutely right that game was amazing
One thing that's been missing for years is being able to see what teams players played on when you look at their stats
Quietus Exactly
I don’t see at all why this matters when the game is terrible. There are so many things that need attention before this
They should add a regression trait similar to the progression trait
Madden 11 probably had the best regression. I played it on the wii. Players would progress and regress on a weekly basis based on how they played in each game. Something madden 20 needs in franchise mode.
the rolling muppin. Lol now they start to regress at 28 years old
Very good idea actually
Totally agree with you there. But whats also a huge problem for me is the trade logic. You touched it a little bit, but in my Franchise I have completely given up on trading at all. Its just unrealistic.
It would be so cool to have GM Philosophy for every team and the FA-Market, the scheme and said philosophy influence trade evaluation.
YES! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING! I have refrained from trading in Madden 19 where as in madden 18 and 17 I actually traded.
And to have more than just three trade spots...
Wish I could like this 100 more times.
Make MUT a stand alone game for the morons that want to blow all of there money on virtual cards/players that have no real world usefulness or value.
i wish we could move teams around to make the switch divisions
@@Mateogreat that would be a bit conplicated
2k did it years ago and in thier nba game
If franchise mode doesn't get a significant Improvement next year I just won't buy the game. The lack of effort they put into the franchise mode is disgraceful
It's embarrassing
I know this isn’t about franchise mode (amazing list btw) but player models in this game have been pretty bad for a while. Why does a 5’9 240 pound running back have the same body composition as 6’3 Derrick Henry for example. Height/weight should affect how a player looks and plays
I agree. Ht/Wt is a huge deal in how Scouts evaluate and its meaningless in Madden.
A guy I created 6'8 160lbs with 0 on all stats like arm size, chest size, etc. looks shredded huge
@@michaelpatras9970 Yup, a system like that would make pre-season/camp and even the draft a lot more interesting.
I always call it Dynamic progression
2k has an amazing franchise.
I would love if they brought back the option to insert your 2nd team and 3rd team off/def in the game, so I can develop my backups in blowouts...
Please hit the like button everyone! Helps me out a ton! Appreciate each and every one of you!
My league fixes regression until people are 32 for everything except QB and lineman which we fix until 34 (and qbs past that as long as they meet a criteria in stats) and rb who we dont Fix at all. They also need to realize that not all positions start regressing at the same time.
Charles Larsen how
Great ideas also they need to remove were you can just take any Player and jack all there stats too 99.what's the point of an upgrade system when you can just do that
How do I join your League?
@@andrewgarnica7515 there is an app link in my packers rebuild series description or on the twitter handle @tfgoleague
I think the ability to look at players stats after they retire
trevor wanner yeah I agree I made a character that was peyton Manning son and my first season Eli was still playing but then all of sudden he disappeared the next season and I had no idea where he went.
Damarrea Oakley that’d be awesome!
I was playing Madden 12 and they had backloaded and frontloaded contracts, if it was in the game 7 years ago then it can be in the game now
@ easily
We just need EA to get there hands off the Nfl license so we can get multiple nfl games not just one subpar annual release
dan boi the NFl doesn’t want more than one company making the game
Yea because then the tought that we may pick something else they would actually try
Exactly

Michael O'Brien lol yup
And the phins over pay in first year
Michael O'Brien it’s so stupid usually what I will do is edit him to make him a punter and trade him to the second highest bidder
Yes, they both killed me in the super bowl
The logic for free agency/trades is just all around awful. You can trade for a teams starting left guard with a full back and 4th round draft pick
I just want superstar mode to come back
I was disappointed when it was gone. Not worth playing
Because it so bare bones and basic after the story ends you play regular franchise mode with a scenario engine like wtf is that bullshit
Most likely the only thing EA will do in madden 20 is charge more money for everything in the game
I actually work for the Madden studio of EA and can tell you everytime you make a trade in Madden 20 it'll cost you 5 real life dollars
Derp Man I know you’re joking but what you said could actually happen
Pay $20 to unlock all Madden mode.
They should add create a team instead of the small amount of relocation places like in Madden 12.
Face scans should be added
Like NBA 2k there should be a slider for draft class quality
And the regression system in MLB the show is perfect
Is anyone else experiencing 1st rounders graded QBs who are like 80-78 getting drafted in 3rd round?
Yep...
O'Porky Productions yeah drew lock and Kyler Murray for me keep falling 3rd round
Off topic but have you ever considered making a NCAA 14 series? I’d love to see you do a dynasty and I’m sure others would too. Love what you’re doing bro
Maybe over the summer when I have free time I will!
That Franchise Guy not to mention NCAA 14 doesn’t have a lot of these issues lol
-a in depth career mode it doesn’t have to be like a chose your own life but it can to follow a path
-allowing the user to scramble with the qb and not have it be sluggish
-realistic side line animations (if your team scores a touchdown have them cheering instead of having the same generic animations for anything that happens)
-if you run out of bounds and hit your coach he would fall down like in the older maddens
-improved offensive line blocking
-let me be able to chain juke moves together like in ncaa 14 instead of just being able to pull of one dramatic juke
-change the running animations they looked hunch over when they run
-an actual create a team option
-different types of hair for a created played say if I want a certain type of face but that face doesn’t have dreads but I want dreads it doesn’t work
-not having scripted blocked kicks/punts don’t make it impossible in past maddens and ncaa but make it relevant sometimes
-let’s have a little bit of trick plays like a flea flicker or a wr pass
-in franchise/career u should be able to have shell practice (shoulder pads but no pants and helmet) or just a practice with helmets and not have game jerseys during practice
-add a pro bowl please we have been asking for this forever
-a little combine if their not going to have a actual career mode
This is so frustrating when you cant find a player on your draftboard anymore and you cant even check where he went
It’s also frustrating to me that you can’t trade guys on draft day
Simple things to add, contract extensions, let me resign a guy when he still has time on his contract, and let me have more trade slots, let me have 5-10 slots to make the trade go through and let me have my draft picks to trade away 3 years down the road, not the current and next, let me have now, next and the one after next, also let scheme fits snd team overall actually take a play into free agency or the style of of offense defense I play, if I throw a lot let me have a boost with wr, or if I run a 3-4 DTs will be a little harder to get
And what I noticed that if u make a career mode why doesn't ur player ever get injured like just the little things that makes no sense
Big Chungus if you think about it it would be boring to have your player out for 6 weeks or even more
@@mvp1591 so it's realistic
MVPJT_24 there could be a setting to turn off your players injuries simole
I wish we could create our OWN team for relocation
Add like a minutes kinda rotation or fix the current rotation system to make it easier to get backups in for some experience
What is EA gonna call Madden 25🤔
Chance Hansen Madden 30 because 30 years of madden
Chance Hansen madden 25 2: electric boogaloo
Elmo Chops 😂😂😂
Addorn aP madden 26 needs to be 30
madden 14
This is all way to much to ask of EA since they're the king of re-releasing the same game every year but a boy can dream x(
I want to create a kicker lol
Yes this is also a little thing but scheduling needs to be fixed week 17 games should always be division games it’s unrealistic and takes away fun from the hardcore franchise players as well as the games in the future are off like the packers play at Kansas City next year but when I load up my game in 2019 I’m facing the Chiefs at home
Go Pack they also should switch up preseason games
Been waiting for this vid. You always make great content. Keep it up.
• the animated rookie pictures need to be completely replaced
• difficulty system is broken, needs to be tuned
• relocating a franchise needs to feel more authentic, it’s boring and awful and feels forced
• more detail into defense + offense schemes
• tight ends are still overpowered
• player accessories looks cheesy and half-assed
• only a handful of players have their real life appearance, a ton of star players still have a cheap/fake auto generated face. fucking pathetic
• improved commentary
• improved pre game activity / halftime / post game
• add in some fun features like interviews, spotlighting players who are on hot streaks, popping up key stats in red zone situations, etc
Here’s hoping. I love madden so much but it really sucks to be a franchise guy, we get the shaft every year
There’s so many great ideas that could make this game amazing, and it’s not like I won’t play it next year again because I love madden but I can’t help feeling that if we had a competitor to Madden they’d be doing a bit more to improve year to year
Great video, but something else EA could definitely improve on (and they have done this before) is making player franchises much more fun and unique.
Love it but my Madden Wish list is totally different
Madden Wish List
Deep Pass (higher completion %) Corners are overpowered on Deep Pass Fly Route
Better QB Pocket Presence and Better Scrambling
AI adjust to the way you’re playing the game (Deter ppl from cheesing plays)
Give everyone better sideline awareness and catches - QB shouldn’t stupidly lead RB out of bounds
Make/Reward QB’s to step up into the pocket
Play Action takes Way too long to develop
Some Gameplay sliders don’t work
Let us make our own plays
Better system to study opponents (franchise)
Madden should coach users better
(Franchise) Hire/Fire Coordinators & have coordinators have their own tendencies
Offensive Lineman should be able to get injured.
SuperSim (offense only, can’t kick extra point or go for two)
Sometimes Don’t have the option to return punts
Kick and Punt Return should have higher chance to take it to the house
Make running game easier to control and hit big holes effortlessly
Once in a while have Madden notify you what you could be doing better (in gameplay)
Ability to make your own team and download custom teams (like trading paints)
Give settings to fine tune your controller’s sensitivity and adjustments like that
Jacaso Asheland in madden 25 they had a real problem with people taking it to the house every time, that’s why they changed it in madden 15 where they can’t sprint and move easily.
1. Ability to re-structure veteran contracts at any time - For Franchise players this is a key to managing salary cap
2. Head Coaches don't always leave after 3 years, especially if you pay them well
You should be able to switch divisions and Customize your schedule
I think it’s funny that if you use one of their draft classes you instantly shift the meta of the whole League.
Add LS position tired of 39 ovr te on my team
Spot on with what you said about coaching in franchise and offseason training. Example players like Jerry Rice/ Tom Brady never seem to regress and a big part of I believe is how they train(ed) in the offseason. Plus a lot of development happens in the offseason due to training. Love the ideas and this video! It would be cool if they listed QBR rating. Coaches should impact teams too. They really don't in current Madden. I think one year they had coordinators that would boost certain atributes of players. That would tie into schemes run too. Offensively and defensively. Awesome video!
How much longer is Madden contracted with EA?
name not found 2021 I think

Happy to catch a video of yours it been awhile. Always appreciate the depth and rosters. Thanks for the depth you go into. Hoping it helps to make a difference.
I believe in Madden 08 players had traits. Correct me if im wrong tho
They don’t pay attention to franchise mode because you don’t have to spend an absurd amount of money to win, unlike MUT
Wish there was a way to use this for consoles
Great vid. Can not agree more. I can't count the amount of times that I've lost a superstar because of a RIDICULOUS contract. I really hope ea sees this. This was the first vid of yours that I saw and I immediately subbed, keep up the great work
Bring back game face 😫😫😫
Franchise mode that works after the year 2023
I would actually love it if weight and height mean something in the game.
And if your team is rebuilding the players who you drafted regression Is head scratching.Base it off how the player plays
Get rid of the Scheme Fit RBT made a video where he rebuilt the broncos and his team had a top 10 player at every position and his team went 5-11 even though there was superstars at every position. It strickens you too one playstyle and you won’t even have a fun time building a team of your liking.
Fix auto generated players everything
Make a view history like 2k, how do I know if the team I’m facing won the Super Bowl
Last year
Player view history how do I know the player I’m signing made the pro bowl last year
Fix financial and contracts
Add in pro bowl game every sports game let us play the all star game
Also add a casual to experience or a hardcore experience like 2k my gym has
Franchise plays more like a my gym than a actual franchise get rid of editing attributes
Mut = money for ea they don’t care about the franchise player
I like a lot of these suggestions! A couple of other additions that I personally would like to see added which (I think) shouldn't be hard to implement
Hate to play devil's advocate here, but why would EA change any of the overalls and draft classes when they can just have us do it?
Probably to save us heartaches, it takes a crap ton of time to adjust ratings to be realistic.
@@Bentastic197 no shit, but what's in it for EA.
Can we not have a mycareer like in 2k19??? Like if you agree
Every time I auto gen a 2019 draft class the 49ers always take Herbert or Haskins when they have grappalo
Here are some of my requests:
Generated rookies and players of all positions being referred to by their actual names by in-game commentary.
Awesome video. I hardly use Twitter, but I plan to now to share this. Man this is everything we Franchise players need.
They still don’t have division games at the end of the season like the NFL does. It may be minor but it’s this small things that make the game better
(First time on your channel)
I don’t if you play any NBA 2k, but a lot of features you pointed out (like the Fifth Year Option) are present in the 2k Franchise modes.
