I don't know why people hate when the preacher preaches prosperity. Did Jesus come on earth to establish poverty so that people can inherit God's kingdom? More than 99% of our lives supported by money and God deals with the people according to times and generation we are passing through.
I think God is okay with us having wealth and money, as long as we do not worship it, or make it more important than our relationship with him. Also, as long as we do not go to unscrupulous means to get it. There are also people who have a false sense of security when they gain wealth, and forget that God is their provider.
They take scripture out of context. When Jesus told the rich man to sell all he had, don't ignore the point that the man was not sincere. God prospered Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Esther, Ruth.... Even Paul said he knew how to abound and how to be poor. We need to have balance. We can't give unless we receive. As long as money is not our god, God can bless us with increase. He takes care of us, our help comes from HIM. We have to remember to give back, to him, to the kingdom, to help others also that GOD receives all the glory.
God’s very first provision for Jesus was a wealthy visit for the wise men providing financial provision. Jesus was rich yet for OUR SAKE he became poor that we through his poverty might be rich. Did Jesus come on earth to establish poverty so that people can inherit God's kingdom?
More than 99% of our lives supported by money and God deals with the people according to times and generation we are passing through.
I think God is okay with us having wealth and money, as long as we do not worship it, or make it more important than our relationship with him. Also, as long as we do not go to unscrupulous means to get it. There are also people who have a false sense of security when they gain wealth, and forget that God is their provider.
They take scripture out of context. When Jesus told the rich man to sell all he had, don't ignore the point that the man was not sincere. God prospered Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Esther, Ruth.... Even Paul said he knew how to abound and how to be poor. We need to have balance. We can't give unless we receive. As long as money is not our god, God can bless us with increase. He takes care of us, our help comes from HIM. We have to remember to give back, to him, to the kingdom, to help others also that GOD receives all the glory.
Also The wise men of whom there were many, not just three. Gave him very expensive gifts. Which I am sure helped them live comfortably in Egypt.
God’s very first provision for Jesus was a wealthy visit for the wise men providing financial provision. Jesus was rich yet for OUR SAKE he became poor that we through his poverty might be rich. Scripture clearly says poverty is curse. The devil wants to keep the Christian poor broke and sick. If we can’t help ourselves how can we help others.
