All is good and creative. But I feel the system of mess should go. I feel buying groceries veggies and cooking food while studying teaches you many skills which comes in handy when we start working on our own. Even, they should allow co inhabiting. Because apart from studies these skills have significant effect on someone career. So the early at we learn all these the better it is.

Differences in IISER and IISc
I hardly have 1.5 month to prepare for IAT. Any tips or suggestions. And the expected cut-offs for last round for SC. I'm really scared to give the test. I haven't gone for any kind of coaching neither i prepared for any type of competitive exams :(
its about 75 in IISER pune(for an SC)...dont worry man...I am sure you will be able to make it through.

@@nehaluciaalosious2330 dont worry...if you dont know anything abt competitive examination just try taking small steps...like study the things you know and do problems that you are able to do and maybe do a few questions that you are not familiar with but have an answer key to that.

Hello there.. I'm planning to take up physics major in one of the iiser's..
I'm quite an average student with 96% in boards, but really interested in research related to physics.. The problem is that, I'm kinda scared if I would be able to handle such a hardcore course.. Would you tell me if studying in iiser is as hard as I imagine it to be?? 😯
Well, motivation is a good enough starting point. I don't think it requires any inherent intelligence to 'get it'. Just the amount of work different people have to put in is different. So come in! See how it goes. One thing I can assure you is you will see a lot of growth in yourself by joining IISER.

@@himanshshelke3051 yaar...bas sab na...i actually got 101 category rank for ews in iat but no one supports on that cause they say going for research and becoming a scientist there's no garentee and off campus placement m bhi zyada achha outcome nhi milte and if about PhD they just say about, just studying for that long? Isliye achha nhi lg rha h, lekin if it actually is worth it i actually am interested pata nhi kya kru 😔 they say they got me into jee foundation cause i used to say i wanted to become a scientist since childhood ab iiser mila toh log aise bol rhe h like research se kuch achha nhi hota
Actually i ruined my jee prep and they say research is no joke agar achhe college m PhD kre toh bhi you still need to work hard and stuff and they can't have garentee on me and this makes me doubt myself too

@@jiteshruch I don't know very much , I am in 9th class but I have a great interest in building machines and technology related work. Do IISER provide these facilities?
@@captainjacksparrow526 you can go to the website www.iiserpune.ac.in and look at the professors in physics and see what they do. Labs at IISER do build new machines but they are for understanding science better, and not for engineering. That kind of work is done in engineering institutes.
