They are the Aggies and have been the "Aggies" since around 1900. The name "Aggies" derives from the word "Agriculture". On the other hand, the football stadium has had a name change in recent years from Aggie Stadium to Truist Stadium.
The home side for Rhode Island should be torn down once the 2024 season ends as part of the $42 million renovation for the stadium. It should be ready for the 2026 season.

North Carolina A&T's team name IS NOT the bulldogs. Their team name is the Aggies. Their mascot/logo is a bulldog.
