What a great, informative video! Thanks for that Kenneth! Very impressive what Brampton Transit has already created in terms of infrastructure. If only so many more public transport companies around the world were as far as Brampton Transit is today!
I work at DC Metro and we have a few New Flyer Xcelsior electric buses here running pilot. There is a big push to go electric and I'm glad we are finally getting onboard. Great to see Ken behind the wheel and you look natural. Thanks again for the excellent in-depth review of bus electrification.
Wow I really enjoyed this episode it was great to see that the busses they use are Canadian built. Fun fact my older brother works at new flyer industries in Winnipeg for about 30 years now so to see his busses was really great. Keep up the great work!
I'd be really interested in tracking the ROI and the break-even timeline. I imagine this data would be crucial for decision making within other transit providers.
Thanks for watching. Yes it would be and as discussed, Brampton Transit has worked it out, however costs will vary over time. Still makes a good investment.
What if you write the word on a sheet of glass with whiteboard pen, and don't flip the sheet over? Is it readable correct in the mirror, when you hold the written side of the glass against your tummy and look in the mirror? Should be readable is what I think.
Great the Brampton is going electric. But its sad that Brampton city planners have designed the city that everyone must drive to everything, nothing is within easy walking distance as there is no diversity between housing, commercial and industrial. There solution is endless traffic lights, to try to manage the endless trafic. A huge missed opportunity to design a modern city.
Thanks for watching. Urban planning is not the subject of my channel so I won't go into this subject, however I certainly understand large city growth issues.
EBus post was great.... And I hope to see many more here, in the future... I didn't initially comment. Because I had the same reservations as the OC, and I didn't want to sound negative...
I run a public transport group on Facebook so I was pleased to share this video there.
Thanks for watching and for sharing!

I'm so excited for you that you drove the bus. Awesome. Great info
Thank you sir, yes was exciting!

Cool to see Penn from Penn and Teller also serving the Brampton community !
😆 I can see a bit of a resemblance
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
Cracking episode, Ken. Amazing reduction in emissions and costs.
Why thank you sir! It certainly makes a big difference in overall GHG numbers and if lower emissions can be achieved at cost savings, win-win-win!
Very informative. Great to get a better understanding on how complex it is to electrify an entire bus system which will take years to implement.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for the feedback!

Hello Tyson, thanks for watching and really appreciate the feedback! Yes small world and I too was pleased to see that they are buying Canadian!

Great show Ken.
Brampton certainly has changed a lot, it was about 50K population when I lived there
Thanks for watching...yes it has. I moved to Brampton originally in 1985, population was 120K. Now almost 700K.
This is nice to see I believe the city of Middletown Connecticut has bought an Electric school bus in the last year 😊
Thanks for watching and that is great....School Buses are prime for all-electrics!
A great video Ken! Some great stuff going on with Brampton transit. I hope others take note. Must have been fun to drive the bus!
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! Yes it was!
Always cool to see areas you know on youtube. I had no idea Brampton was working so hard on *EVs.
Thanks for watching and yes they are working hard!
@@EVRevolution Thanks for the hard work youre doing too!
Nice news from abroad. Wish they would move this fast in Australia, still in trial mode with just one bus as of a year ago. 😁
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! It does take time but hopefully the major Auzzie cities will adopt BEV for their transit systems.
@@EVRevolution cheers mate.
Now I’m curious how many cities in Oz have trolleybuses already, I know some do and they are excellent for heavily-trafficked routes in dense areas.
I hope to see similar buses on Pace in the outer suburbs of Chicagoland soon.
Thanks for watching and hope more cities adopt electrified public transit!

@@EVRevolution I did watch, but my comment was meant for another video from physicsgirl
I heard they cost twice as much as regular bus, breakdowns all the time and have ridiculous low range. Sounds like major waste of money to me.
Thanks for watching. Show me the data to support what you have heard, then I will respond. Otherwise, it is meaningless.
