How to come to God? Many things confuse me, the Bible says that the earth is 7500 years old, but this is absurd? Or the fact that Jesus asked God for help, but he himself is God, isn’t he? Anyone who has knowledge can explain to me, I will be grateful Sorry if I write with errors through a translator

    • @DehanvV

Hello there, I won't answer all of your questions. But I will try to answer your first question: how to come to God. Firstly, the Bible teaches that one must first believe that God exists - which you seem to do because of the nature of your question. This is taught clearly in Hebrews 11:6. In this same verse it talks about faith - that without faith it is impossible to please God. So if you want to come to God, you must have faith in Him. You mentioned Jesus, and asked how he could ask God for help if he himself is God. God the Son became incarnate (that is, he took on the form and nature of a man, without putting off his deity and nature of God), so that he could take the punishment for our sins. We deserve the punishment for our sins because sin is against God and only God can punish sins, but God Himself sent Himself to satisfy the punishment on our behalf. We are called to have faith in Christ that He is the means that God has provided to save us from our sins and restore us to relationship with God. I would encourage you to read the book of Romans and John in the Bible for yourself. If you don't have a bible, please respond here so that I can help you to find one in your own language. Blessings my brother (or sister).

The Bible never says that the earth is 7500 years old, the way the genesis account was written was in the perspective of a person standing on the earth during the creation of the earth. Also the term used as ‘days’ our not actually 6 24 hour days, the Bible states at 2 Peter 3:8 “… that one day is with the Lord (Jehovah) as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.” The term “days” in the original Hebrew-Aramaic writings can mean any undetermined amount of time. Also the Bible is in agreement with science on many different aspects and topics for example, in Genesis 1:1 it states, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Showing that the heavens were created before the earth. And then the “days” of creation follow suit with the overall scientific understanding of the start of the earth. I can go into more detail if you want…?
And Jesus and God are not the same person. It states at Colossians 1:15 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation:” also when Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan it states at Matthew 3:16,17 “”After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water; and look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw God’s spirit descending like a dove and coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”” If Jesus and God were the same person then why would Jesus “…be the first born of all creation” and “…my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”? If I can help with anymore questions I would love to help brother… I hope you’re having a great day!!! 🙏🏼

Hello friend! I hope you are doing well. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and God’s Divine Revelation to us humans. That means it is 100% correct. However, the Bible is a collection of books and there are many different genres in the Bible. Genres ranges from poetry to history to wise sayings and songs. Therefore, if you look at genesis for example, it is a book that has both genres of poetry and history. For example, the story of Adam and Eve is a very poetic story that explains how humanity became fallen (it fell due to the sin of pride). Could it have happened exactly like this? Yes, but it can also be said that the Adam and Eve story could have been a poetic way of explaining the fall of man. Does this make it not correct? No of course not. It is still the infallible 100% correct Word of God. Now this again isn’t the whole Bible, there is much history to be found in the Bible too.
On your second question, Jesus (Himself as God) as God for help because the Christian doctrine on God is that there are 3 Persons in One God. Think of a 3 leaf clover. It has 3 leaves, but altogether it is still one God. This is the same with The Christian God.
There are 3 Persons of God.
We also believe that God IS love. He does not show love. He IS love.
      God The Father (the Lover)
God The Son (The Beloved, The One who receives the love)
The Holy Spirit (the love connection shared between The Father and The Son)
So after the fall of man, we humans were fallen and needed a savior. To pay the price for our sins, God The Son became was born and became Human- Jesus Christ- and ultimately took the punishment for our sins by suffering, and dying on the cross. But Christ resurrected from the dead on the third day so that we too may rise again into new life with Him eternally.
Jesus asked God The Father for help although Jesus is God, when He became human He assumed a human body and human soul. Thus, the human body and soul is inferior to God. Jesus is God, when He became human He became fully man and still fully God. His divinity is greater than His human nature. But while on earth with us, Jesus was subject to His human nature and thus in comparison to The Father and Jesus’s human nature, The Father is superior. This is why Jesus had to ask the Father for help.
