nah mihoyo needs to either boost material drop rates so new players can actually build a more diverse roster to handle this bullshit, or play test this shit with subpar units. i dont understand how they expect ppl to do this fight without being stacked in their roster.
Like... it wouldn't be so bad if this mf didn't keep me from finishing the story. If it was like the Argenti fight and you could play main quest and come back once you levelled up it wouldn't even stress me but this is just pissing me off, because there is no option to lower equilibrium like you can do in Genshin when you're stuck. I have no motivation to continue HSR at this point

Cuz a while back when I was doing a trial apart of the Imazunma quest line, I could literally just lower my level and it just made it less intense so I could ACTUALLY play the game. But HRS is genuinely pissing me off too…😭 I haven’t had a problem with the last boss fights, but they made Aventurine HORRIFICALLY overpowered to the point I can’t even enjoy the game and continue it. In previous boss fights, we’ve received little boosts and help from the characters, like the one we got from Black Swan when fighting Death. But mihoyo is seriously expecting us to defeat him without any help? I literally thought that once we finished the first phase, we’d get a boost or smth but no. Mihoyo just shit bagged on us and said,”Hey, defeat this overpowered, tanky-ass boss that makes you wanna rip your hair out. Good luck!”
I just barely survived by bringing in Preservation MC, March, Serval, and Gallagher. Gallagher was especially helpful in keeping us alive; he heals enough HP to keep us alive.
This boss is absolute overpowered garbage. You can also get stuck in the "Infinite 4 dice loop" if your only fast character is not capable of attacking more than 1 dice. I'm a relatively new player (almost 3 months) and this boss is impossible with units and relics i have.

I've been playing this game since release and I haven't had a problem with any bosses yet AND THEN THIS GUY. I couldn't beat him for so long that I had to compose such a ridiculous team consisting of: Argenti, Blade, Gallagher and Loucha. And by some miracle, I've beaten him. For this fight, it is necessary to have a character that have AoE ultimate. Gallagher and Luocha had to have their ults at full energy ALL THE TIME, and I could only use them when Aventurine activated his bet. In his second phase, I would first use Gallagher/Luocha's basic attack to regain lost energy (thanks to Aventurine's lovely dice attack that lowers your energy) and then use the ults so they always won the bet. And thanks to Argenti and Blade having AoE attacks outside their ults I didn't have to hold back with theirs. This strategy is weird as hell, BUT AT LEAST IT WORKS, there was probably a better way out of this boss fight, but I was desperate at this point.
Also you can still loose the dice even with blast attacks, you can still get 6 or 8 even after hitting 3 dice, where this dude always rolling 9. You really need aoe coverage. Thank God I somehow survived with argenti😭

I've went through 10 attempts of trying to beat him for almost 2 hours now and the best I could do is get him to 25% on the second phase. I'm gonna kms. I probably won't be able to progress into the story for months now 😂
The trick is to have a sustainer, a healer, an aoe dmg dealer, and the last you can either put more sustainer or healer. Let the sustain and healer tank all the dmg from the dice gambling. I used lynx gepard blade and argenti, my blade died phase 1 but i passed it using only those 3. If you dont have sustain then 3 healers could work too. The key is to forget doing dmg and just tank everything lol
I don’t know if I’m being over-dramatic, but he’s overpowered. I’ve best trying to beat him for the past hour and I STILL can’t get him. The most I could get to is the 2nd phase(when he heals himself) and at least get him to 90%. Idk why he’s so hard to fight😭😭 It’s giving Yangxing from that Kafka quest
What breaks me is the energy drain. My team build requires Gepard to be beaten up a lot so he can ult for everyone else. Then the AoE’s. Geppy can’t hit those, but he’s tanky and it’s not too bad if he’s targeted. The problem comes along when *Ratio is my DPS, Aventurine resists Imaginary, and I’m playing an additional chance game on top of the other chance game to see if I’ll be able to do the follow up attack for a second number* I don’t have many built units because I can’t get good relics most of the time and I joined late last year rather than at launch. Battle gimmicks might have stopped me from progressing the story entirely and I was really wanting Luocha, but now I feel that I have no choice but to pull for Archeon if I want to win
This boss singlehandedly ruined this part of Penacony for me. I was already in a state where I just wanted this man off my screen, but *this*. I already had enough trouble with that goddamn bug but this... Jesus christ on a stick why can't we get through the STORY without trouble... save this difficulty for MoC for christ's sake
Okay I managed to beat it after *many* a try, I used a team of Qinque, Fire MC, Clara, and Lynx. Lynx would be the only one to get hit by the dice attack (unless I got extremely unlucky), and I would always heal herself before it for the hp boost and the potential dodge of the debuff with her eidolon. My main advice here is just use characters with some kind of AoE, either skill or ultimate (if it's ultimate only use it on the dice), multiple sustains, and just tanky characters. Good luck to you all, and I really hope Hoyo designs better bosses in the future, cuz really, screw like the last 3 they designed (except Unto Death, that one is actually neat even if it's heavily in favor of DoT characters)

Have your healer have atleast 70% effest res My natasha have dog shit relic i compile all high effect res on my relics and give them to her then use food effect res atleast 50% but it will be a gamble
Same I refuse to Grind artefacts I play for the story not to want to bash my brains in trying to get 000.1% plus to my damage that has a stupid drop rate
here’s a strategy I came up with, apart from bringing characters capable of AoE or blast, you also wanna make sure your sustain is not going to get targeted. For example, if you have luocha or gallagher, you want to make sure that you are NOT using their ultimate until he does the gamble attack. same goes for the second phase. This helped me beat Aventurine on my third try. As for other sustains like fu xuan,and huohuo, no clue since I don’t have them so you guys might need to lmk. can’t guarantee this will work but it might be a little helpful
I stared at my tv at silence after seeing my team get obliterated not even halfway through the battle (All level 80). I quitted mid battle 2 times knowing I'll die while I watched myself die for probably 3 or more times. After a 30 minute reflection, I went on to upgrade some of my relics and and traces and I finally defeated this damn boss. My team consisted of Acheron, Black Swan, Fire Trailblazer, and Bailu Feel free to ask me questions on how I did it, I'll try my best to explain
hello, my bailu is lvl 70 do you think its worth leveling her up to 80? I'm so frustrated with this boss, My team are gepard, bailu, jingliu, and kafka , but somehow my jingliu keeps getting one shotted by him on his second phase.. and i dont even know what to do anymore 😭
@@li.7302 Either Kafka or Black swan can be good. I prefer black swan since I utilize her basic attack more than her skill. With her basic attack, it adds one point of slashed dream (the petals) to Acheron which is very helpful. I do this because I rely a lot on TB's skill and Bailu's skill since adventurine hits too damn hard. Idk if Kafka can also add slashed dream with her basic since I don't have her. I don't really recommend Pela since her aoe is only on her ultimate and you'll just end up hitting one dice during the second half. Utilize Acheron and Black Swan/Kafka's during the second half
@@aru4456 I suggest you have 3 characters who can aoe, specifically characters who have aoes in their skill. As for bailu, i think it's kind of worth it as long as you have the proper relics for her and I made sure to have the main traces upgraded (the big circles). As for jingliu, I don't really recommend her unless you utilize your skill points properly considering that her aoe happens when her skill is in it's enhanced state. I utilized my skill points all on bailu and TB so I can provide all the health and small shields my team needed

Literally him doing cc after his stupid gamble is the worst. Phase 1 you can go by but the phase 2 is damn annoying. I kept loosing even with two sustain. Turns out you can still loose even with blast damage. you have to bring aoe character. Argenti my holy knight saved me😭. It was still annoying.
for anyone struggling/without cracked units, i did it with fireMC, march, clara and natasha (f2p). save fireMC and march ults on the 2nd phase for dice, clara can use her skill and march can shield nat from damage/remove the debuff. if you don't have clara you could try serval. it's slow but safe if you hold ults for the dice rolls.
I’m using good characters and I can’t do it I’ve tried switching black swan for Himeko and that got me to phase two down to about 30% health I’m having wayyy too much of a hard time this is worse than the bug (They are all lvl 80, Swan, Acheron, Jingliu and Natasha)
The only problem with this is that my “OG” characters are with a lvl of about 50 and I don’t think they’ll survive (although my MC is at lvl 80 but my himeko has much better stats) It’ll take far too long to get the right and good relic sets to finish all this (specially since I just got my Acheron to lvl 80 with maxed out traces and her light cone to lvl80)
Gepard is probably the worst sustain you could bring for this fight. I learned from experience that because of his Integrity trace Aventurine is far more likely to select him for the dice thing which forces him to lose it due to having no aoe attacks.
Same I’m probably gonna have to try and pull for Acheron or smth, my only DPS and Sustains are DHIL and Gepard but because of one of Gepard’s traces he gets picked for the gacha and loses 90% of the time🗿 Literally impossible to do this boss fight depending on your account

And DHIL requires at least 2 skillpoints (Without ulti) to do AOE attacks which are must-have for his second phase. But this boss fight is literally perfect for Acheron so I guess I'll pull for her lmao.
@@PoyoPoyomfs Well to be fair it really depends on the rest of the team. If the rest are characters without any AOE they'll still get destroyed. This boss made me level up my Clara. The hardest thing about this boss is basically the fact that you have to build your team specifically against him.
his health is an absolute joke, i cant even get him past 60% because its actually annoying me how long its taking, yeah sure its easy (first phase atleast, i havent gotten to second) its taking me 8 minutes just to get him down to 60% hp and it got so unbelievably boring i actually started reading a book instead. i only have DHIL and Acheron for DPS, but my Acheron is NOT built at all and cannot withstand even two of aventurines attacks and her ult is only doing 14k for me rn, and of course aventurine has imaginary resistance AND crowd control resistance by default aswell, meaning my DHIL skill which usually does around 50k, is just barely scraping 7k Unless this boss is changed i genuinely cannot see myself beating this boss since im reading the boss heals himself in the second phase
Ok soo.... this boss is very rraumatising for your healers and supports. The dice thing, if you want to win it aoe or blast is the way to go but... Jesus chrit you cant beat this without a very built team.
I dont think i've ever encountered a boss in this game that gave me more headaches and despair. and here i thought that bug boss was OP Until Adventurine turned up - i say without a doubt that he is ridiculously OP, i mean you can have a complete maxed out team and he would still kick your ass through the first phase - you'll be lucky if you can even make it to the second phase i dont get how the hell there were people that were lucky enough to beat him
Yeah... levelled up my Equilibrium and now he one shots me in Phase 2 so I lost 60 times already. I guess I won't be able to progress in the story from this point onward so I might just delete, it's really no fun like this as a casual player. I would need about 3 months to build the right characters to be able to beat him and I don't have the time or motivation. It was nice while it lasted I guess, bye HSR

finally beat this boss after like 7 tries LMAOO here's the team i used for yall that need help with some notes in super dumb dumb razor language - lynx: stack a LOT of hp on her, energy regeneration rope is very necessary !!! - asta: stack hp and defense on her - pela: stack hp and defense with speed boots - jing yuan: can be swapped out for any other main dps as long as they hit multiple enemies at once, just put all of your best artifacts and pray (it's okay if theyre not that good the fight will just take longer but it's manageable) one thing of note is that as much as possible do *NOT* use pela's burst especially in the 2nd phase !!! only use it when aventurine targets her for the dice roll mechanic so you can almost guarantee that you'll get the crown roll every single time to play it safe

The problem with him is that he does his ultimate in his second fase literally all the time. Like, my sustain characters cant even regen their ults to my team to be able to survive the fight
I used Luocha, Fire TB, Jingliu and Fu Xuan to beat this. 3 sustains who can dish out AOE attacks. For 1st phase, I could just tank my way through the damage, and for the 2nd phase, I just make everyone get 9 points, refreshing their ultimates. Then, I just slowly but surely took down Aventurine's health with my badly built Jingliu.
i aint got a good shielder, i dont have ruan mei (literally the go to meta slave character for anything), and the team ive been using is my normal teams for memory of chaos, but this guy is somehow heaps harder than MoC SAM which makes no sense as SAM over level 80 and ten stonehearts aventurine is only 80, i get him to 2nd phase and he just spams his silly roll the dice move which my team gets wiped
let me share my sufferings though comments too. Ahhh.... its impossible for me, i mean cmon.....i was so close to beat him last phase 17%. he killed everyone just like that.
this boss fight was a nightmare, i just came back to this game from a long break, 😂 somehow beaten him with Fire TB, Huo Huo, IL dan heng and a level 70 Jing Yuan (i know the boss has Imaginary Dmg Res but I basically had no choice)
@@bimoaji6699 try getting rid of jingliu and put a sustainer or more healer in. I beat it with only gepard lynx and argenti, so can you. For phase 2 Only use skill point for argenti's skill in the dice section and make sure you always have it for argenti. Outside the dice section no need to use argenti's skill because everytime argenti win the dice fight, he gets full ulti, that's where your dmg come from. The rest skill point should be used for healers and tank.
For anyone needing help this is what I used Fire trailblazer, march, natasha and dr ratio and finished him first try, you wanna focus on defense and let march slowly damage him. Trailblazer you wanna spam his shield on the characters unless the boss is opened to attacks (once his shield is gone), march you wanna defend natasha then herself then trailblazer then ratio, natasha just slowly heals everyone and dr ratio just his basic attack. It took about an hour to complete it since it takes time but just focus on defending the characters from the attacks and healing them with natasha, when the boss hits a character march will instantly hit him back and that's how you slowly damage him and win. His domain expansion is very annoying but every time you get the opportunity use natasha to heal everyone. Patience is key if you're f2p and barely have any characters like me, these were all free and obtained throughout the story. Hope this helps :)
This man is cracked. My Natasha cannot survive for two rounds in his second phase because of the gamble mechanic. Well, at least I’m not the only one who’s suffering
you should not bring a healer for this fight, Gepard is also not good because he doesn't have any AoE attack which means he is going to die in the 2nd phase. Use Preservation MC since they have a lot of AoE and they can help tank a little bit if you need it
@@meowxc4 if you have Ult ready during the dice phase and you fail to hit the target with Skill or Basic Attack use your Ult to get a second chance. if you succeed the dice roll you will get full refund Ult anyway. always use your Ult as soon as it's ready (unless you need it for the dice) because Aventurine has an attack that drains energy
I got frustrated with this boss for two hours that i have to use my limited resources to try and use other characters for this dude. I used clara, kafka, natasha, march and used the atk+CR and def+Eff res buffs. Had to change relics for my natasha for more hp and spd. The continuous follow up atks somehow helped me eat away his tanky hp and almost focused my shield for nat unless someone really needed it. Almost never uses march's ult until the dice part of the game so only nat receives aventurines ult with march's shield up because AOE dmg is ur friend with this boss. Somehow i beat this guy with them. Had to compromise limited mats so i can proceed with the story 😅. Hope this comment can help.
I thought it was hard but turns out we just need to be patient. I cannot use my usual harmony because this boss fight strictly needs AOE attack at least in the ultimate. But I need healer and healer typically don't AOE attack, we have Gallagher now but I haven't build him yet so I used Natasha but she guaranteed to get hit in the second phase. My team is Jing Yuan - Natasha - Fire MC - Pela. If you don't have JY, you can use Serval. It just needs patience.
Finally beat this boss after 2 hours…. Used Imbibitor, Sparkle, HuoHuo and Bailu, the trick was to just cycle through HuoHuo and bailu’s heals (mostly HuoHuo tho), auto with sparkle and bailu and only use 1-2 skill points with Imbibitor. Only use all his sp when he makes u gambled, save his ult for when u somehow hit less than what he gets in his 2nd phase. It’s ok if your sups don’t hit a number equal to or higher as their just there to tank and sustain imbibitor, as long as he lives you’ll beat him eventually… so just rinse and repeat! (FK U AVENTURINE ❤)
Well after 3 attempt with different team combo I finally defeated him 🤧. It's took me almost 1 hour to defeat him with my not so well bluid team - level 60 luocha ( brand new😀) , level 70 serval , Natasha and (preservation) trailblazer 🤡 ( one shielder , 2 healer and one breaker ) . Hope this team combo be helpful for other too.
Beat this boss with Jing Yuan, Preservation MC, Misha (Herta also work ig) and Gallagher. For phase 2 You need to save skill points for Jing Yuan and Misha so they can deal AoE attacks. Keep your Ultimate until Aventurine started to gamble. More dice you can hit means you can achieve higher number than him. I have no problem with Jing Yuan but sometimes Misha's AoE did not reach higher than Aventurine. So thats when the Ultimate comes in to reach higher number. Same goes with Preservation MC. For Gallagher you must use his ultimate whenever Aventurine start to gamble because his ulti hits all the dice. There is an attack that can drain your energy but you can gain back your ultimate just by doing basic attack. Good luck
Just gonna put this here for ppl who seek f2p run Fire TB/March/Natasha/Serval *Eat food that raise DEF and effect RES before talking to March* You need both Nat and March to have Cleanse trance. THIS IS THE MINIMUM if you want to run this fight smoothly. Let me just say that this is the fight of attrition. Stall and trim his HP until you win the entire fight. 1st phase - If you run DEF food as I mentioned earlier, Aventurine attack wont one shot you unless you low on HP. - You might want to use TB skill and attack to raise your team shield from time to time. But not always. - Aventurine has quite good amount of effect RES, so dont expect your taunt to land much. - use March skill when necessary, you dont want to use it when a target ally have more than 30% coz it's gonna raise hostility to that ally as well. - Make sure to safe some skill point for Serval to use her skill when Aventurine target her in dice game. She's gonna be fine most of the time. - Before phase 1 ends, Save all ultimate and skill point and make sure everyone are healthy. It's gonna get nasty... 2nd phase - Right after phase 1 ended, Aventurine gonna get some turns which he's gonna barrage us with AOE dice and bounce chip attack. if your team is healthy and have DEF food, You can just use Nat ultimate to recover. - And now the real fight begin. Aventurine will spam dice game to everyone with 4 dices to play with. - because you can use ultimate to attack dices to get higher score, and becoz Aventurine will ready your ultimate if you win the gamble. SAVE YOUR ULTIMATE exclusively for dices. - Aventurine dice attack gonna reduce your ultimate abit but that's ok. You can even ultimate immediately after you hit a single dice. March even have follow-up attack to refill ultimate immediately when shielded ally get hit by dice attack (which most likely a TB shield) - with this fact in mind, the only issue gonna be Nat. She has no way to win a gamble in 2nd phase most of the time. Use March shield on Nat in March gamble time. (coz you gonna win the March gamble with her ultimate anyway) This will reduce the large chunk of damage that gonna land on her considerably. If Nat get debuffed, use March shield to cleanse it asap. - About Serval, make sure you use her skill to hit 3 dices. And she's pretty free in this fight. Just use Nat ultimate when everyone low on HP (most of actual damage in this fight are AOE dice and gamble nuke on Nat) And becoz she can hit 3 dices in gamble turn, You're pretty free to spam her ultimate as Aventurine gonna lose the gamble and refill her ultimate. (NOTE. you still have some chance that RNG gonna hate you and make Serval lost the gamble. Be prepare for the worst.) - TB is the most brainless among the four in this fight. You can stop using skill entirely in this 2nd phase coz it's pointless. And becoz TB can do almost the same as Serval, you will have TB shield active almost all the time. Just make sure your ultimate or enhanced normal attack is ready for gamble time. And TB gonna be skill point-positive along with Serval in the entire fight. That's it. Scratch Aventurine to death. \ ( - x-)/
i used acheron/nat/march/jingliu and what I did was ALWAYS save march's burst so she could cleanse if the others didn't make it. I had horrible rng, lost every dice roll, and died at p2 56% hp. This seems like an okay strat but I may have to adjust my team
@@cheeselover55 The thing is Jingjiu has some downtime for her power-up phase. Which is undesirable. (Unless you gonna save her burst exclusively for dice like March) My team choice for FireTB, on top of the best one I have, is the fact that TB can spam (upgraded) basic attack quite permanently in 2nd phase. So in a way, TB is the SP generator for this setup too. . Acheron is pretty fine for this fight really. (pretty much better Serval from my setup) just manage SP for her too. (you might need to save her burst for dice sometime if March/Nat need SP more) . PS. I know how bad rng is... Aventurine even asked 9 points so many time - x-);
If you’re someone who has just reached eq6 your story basically stops here. I can regularly clear up to MoC 11 and got slapped by this boss. I thought it was just me but these comments prove otherwise. Edit: I did beat him but my team isn’t f2p friendly at all. Used blade, sparkle, bronya, luocha, and just dpa raced him
My team was March, Gepard, Acheron and Clara, before you say "ooOoOOOo you had Acheron so obv you won" Acheron died after like 2 turns man, the fight lasted like 40 mins. I dread the day this guy is added to simulated universe
They already nerfed him and and I still can’t beat him, im been going at it for 2 days already and im not making progress, it even had to max out 3 more characters that are his weakened type and they still don’t stand a chance

i have done this fight six damn times and the best i have gotten to is phase 2 at 60% hp before he wipes out my whole team 💀 i have farmed and built several new whole ass characters and new teams and i am slowly going insane
I'm hard locked because I increased my Equilibrium level months ago (I only have DHIL Level 80) this is very difficult, they should at least give us the option to lower the difficulty if it's a story fight
For those who still find it hard to win this fight, my team maybe can help you out. My team is Jingyuan, Ruan Mei, Linx, and Fire MC. All F2P, ruan mei and linx will always lose the gamble but linx will always have ult back. Try to use defensive team cause i always lose with my acheron team lol
I can't thank you enough for the strats. I use Acheron instead of Jing Yuan and I breezed through the 2nd phase. I'll write a review on my strats later but thx again!
I fucking hate this boss so much whoever made this, I swear to God I am still stuck on him I leveled up on my characters to the max and this guy is still not dead and I even taking no damage at all
So many people r like just don’t loose the gamble on phase 2 how tf do i do that it’s random even with aoe u might not win most of the time especially when he can gamble attack gamble attack and just not let you have a turn for like 3 rounds like why
Y'ALL I MADE IT - My team just had 2 ftp characters, so just a heads up! I had Acheron, Jingliu, Natasha, and March 7th (all of them are at Lvl 80 with at least Lvl 13 relics and Lvl 6 traces). Natasha was doing only little healing because March 7th basically saved them from dying! I kept putting defense on each character one by one, plus she (and Acheron in the first half) did most of the break damage. Aventurine was somehow not really targeting March 7th, so she was basically full health throughout! My characters were not once below 50% health during the battle. I only used Jingliu for dealing hard damage! He kept targeting Natasha because she couldn't really spin the dice properly, so I kept having to reapply her defense during that huge coin attack. Hope this helps!!
damn, I give up, this is the first boss that I can't take with a single pack of all possible, I can barely get to the end, but then he gives 7 and then instant death😢😢
This boss made me build my Gepard and Clara. I suggest focusing on surviving instead of doing damage, patience is key with this boss (2 sustains are practically almost necessary fighting him)
Finally beat him (at equilibrium 3) accidentally while I was trying to prove that he's too op. Used physical mc (fall of aeon, full boxing, space station) Natasha (Pro quo, full wandering cloud, fleet of ageless) March (wildfire, full knight of purity, vonwacq) Serval (cosmos fell, full sizzling thunder, space station). At first phase I shield mc and save skill points for serval and mc to deal aoe damage and save march ult in case aventurine targets her. In second phase I shield natasha because she's guaranteed to be aventurines target. Try to save skill points for serval and mc and use their ult if not enough skill points and march uses her Ult to reach the required points. I just repeat this and somehow beat him
Changed my supports for this fcking boss. March and Galaggher half ass built but still good enough to sustain, then jing yuan and sparkle the duo I will never separate. Basically, just save those aoe ults. But this took so long for some reason I hate this. Sparkle had to take those hits like a champ coz March gives her shield anyway. Can't autoplay this mf

I haven’t had a problem with the last boss fights, but they made Aventurine HORRIFICALLY overpowered to the point I can’t even enjoy the game and continue it. In previous boss fights, we’ve received little boosts and help from the characters, like the one we got from Black Swan when fighting Death. But mihoyo is seriously expecting us to defeat him without any help? I literally thought that once we finished the first phase, we’d get a boost or smth but no. Mihoyo just shit bagged on us and said,”Hey, defeat this overpowered, tanky-ass boss that makes you wanna rip your hair out. Good luck!”

I just barely survived by bringing in Preservation MC, March, Serval, and Gallagher. Gallagher was especially helpful in keeping us alive; he heals enough HP to keep us alive.
This boss is absolute overpowered garbage. You can also get stuck in the "Infinite 4 dice loop" if your only fast character is not capable of attacking more than 1 dice.

I've been playing this game since release and I haven't had a problem with any bosses yet AND THEN THIS GUY. I couldn't beat him for so long that I had to compose such a ridiculous team consisting of: Argenti, Blade, Gallagher and Loucha. And by some miracle, I've beaten him. For this fight, it is necessary to have a character that have AoE ultimate. Gallagher and Luocha had to have their ults at full energy ALL THE TIME, and I could only use them when Aventurine activated his bet. In his second phase, I would first use Gallagher/Luocha's basic attack to regain lost energy (thanks to Aventurine's lovely dice attack that lowers your energy) and then use the ults so they always won the bet. And thanks to Argenti and Blade having AoE attacks outside their ults I didn't have to hold back with theirs. This strategy is weird as hell, BUT AT LEAST IT WORKS, there was probably a better way out of this boss fight, but I was desperate at this point.
Also you can still loose the dice even with blast attacks, you can still get 6 or 8 even after hitting 3 dice, where this dude always rolling 9. You really need aoe coverage. Thank God I somehow survived with argenti😭

I've went through 10 attempts of trying to beat him for almost 2 hours now and the best I could do is get him to 25% on the second phase. I'm gonna kms. I probably won't be able to progress into the story for months now 😂
The trick is to have a sustainer, a healer, an aoe dmg dealer, and the last you can either put more sustainer or healer. Let the sustain and healer tank all the dmg from the dice gambling. I used lynx gepard blade and argenti, my blade died phase 1 but i passed it using only those 3. If you dont have sustain then 3 healers could work too. The key is to forget doing dmg and just tank everything lol
I don’t know if I’m being over-dramatic, but he’s overpowered. I’ve best trying to beat him for the past hour and I STILL can’t get him. The most I could get to is the 2nd phase(when he heals himself) and at least get him to 90%. Idk why he’s so hard to fight😭😭

What breaks me is the energy drain. My team build requires Gepard to be beaten up a lot so he can ult for everyone else. Then the AoE’s. Geppy can’t hit those, but he’s tanky and it’s not too bad if he’s targeted.
The problem comes along when *Ratio is my DPS, Aventurine resists Imaginary, and I’m playing an additional chance game on top of the other chance game to see if I’ll be able to do the follow up attack for a second number*
I don’t have many built units because I can’t get good relics most of the time and I joined late last year rather than at launch. Battle gimmicks might have stopped me from progressing the story entirely and I was really wanting Luocha, but now I feel that I have no choice but to pull for Archeon if I want to win

This boss singlehandedly ruined this part of Penacony for me. I was already in a state where I just wanted this man off my screen, but *this*. I already had enough trouble with that goddamn bug but this... Jesus christ on a stick why can't we get through the STORY without trouble... save this difficulty for MoC for christ's sake
Okay I managed to beat it after *many* a try, I used a team of Qinque, Fire MC, Clara, and Lynx. Lynx would be the only one to get hit by the dice attack (unless I got extremely unlucky), and I would always heal herself before it for the hp boost and the potential dodge of the debuff with her eidolon. My main advice here is just use characters with some kind of AoE, either skill or ultimate (if it's ultimate only use it on the dice), multiple sustains, and just tanky characters. Good luck to you all, and I really hope Hoyo designs better bosses in the future, cuz really, screw like the last 3 they designed (except Unto Death, that one is actually neat even if it's heavily in favor of DoT characters)

Fr I went in thinking “Lmao this dude finna be easy as hell like Sam”, came out crying.
here’s a strategy I came up with, apart from bringing characters capable of AoE or blast, you also wanna make sure your sustain is not going to get targeted.
For example, if you have luocha or gallagher, you want to make sure that you are NOT using their ultimate until he does the gamble attack. same goes for the second phase. This helped me beat Aventurine on my third try.
As for other sustains like fu xuan,and huohuo, no clue since I don’t have them so you guys might need to lmk.
can’t guarantee this will work but it might be a little helpful
Or Bailu, even if she doesnt have an aoe attack, at least she can provide the teams survivability
I stared at my tv at silence after seeing my team get obliterated not even halfway through the battle (All level 80). I quitted mid battle 2 times knowing I'll die while I watched myself die for probably 3 or more times.
After a 30 minute reflection, I went on to upgrade some of my relics and and traces and I finally defeated this damn boss. My team consisted of Acheron, Black Swan, Fire Trailblazer, and Bailu

@@li.7302 Either Kafka or Black swan can be good. I prefer black swan since I utilize her basic attack more than her skill. With her basic attack, it adds one point of slashed dream (the petals) to Acheron which is very helpful. I do this because I rely a lot on TB's skill and Bailu's skill since adventurine hits too damn hard. Idk if Kafka can also add slashed dream with her basic since I don't have her. I don't really recommend Pela since her aoe is only on her ultimate and you'll just end up hitting one dice during the second half. Utilize Acheron and Black Swan/Kafka's during the second half
@@aru4456 I suggest you have 3 characters who can aoe, specifically characters who have aoes in their skill. As for bailu, i think it's kind of worth it as long as you have the proper relics for her and I made sure to have the main traces upgraded (the big circles). As for jingliu, I don't really recommend her unless you utilize your skill points properly considering that her aoe happens when her skill is in it's enhanced state. I utilized my skill points all on bailu and TB so I can provide all the health and small shields my team needed

Literally him doing cc after his stupid gamble is the worst. Phase 1 you can go by but the phase 2 is damn annoying. I kept loosing even with two sustain. Turns out you can still loose even with blast damage. you have to bring aoe character. Argenti my holy knight saved me😭. It was still annoying.
for anyone struggling/without cracked units, i did it with fireMC, march, clara and natasha (f2p).
save fireMC and march ults on the 2nd phase for dice, clara can use her skill and march can shield nat from damage/remove the debuff.
if you don't have clara you could try serval. it's slow but safe if you hold ults for the dice rolls.
I’m using good characters and I can’t do it I’ve tried switching black swan for Himeko and that got me to phase two down to about 30% health
I’m having wayyy too much of a hard time this is worse than the bug (They are all lvl 80, Swan, Acheron, Jingliu and Natasha)
The only problem with this is that my “OG” characters are with a lvl of about 50 and I don’t think they’ll survive (although my MC is at lvl 80 but my himeko has much better stats)
It’ll take far too long to get the right and good relic sets to finish all this (specially since I just got my Acheron to lvl 80 with maxed out traces and her light cone to lvl80)

Gepard is probably the worst sustain you could bring for this fight. I learned from experience that because of his Integrity trace Aventurine is far more likely to select him for the dice thing which forces him to lose it due to having no aoe attacks.

And DHIL requires at least 2 skillpoints (Without ulti) to do AOE attacks which are must-have for his second phase. But this boss fight is literally perfect for Acheron so I guess I'll pull for her lmao.

his health is an absolute joke, i cant even get him past 60% because its actually annoying me how long its taking, yeah sure its easy (first phase atleast, i havent gotten to second) its taking me 8 minutes just to get him down to 60% hp and it got so unbelievably boring i actually started reading a book instead.
i only have DHIL and Acheron for DPS, but my Acheron is NOT built at all and cannot withstand even two of aventurines attacks and her ult is only doing 14k for me rn, and of course aventurine has imaginary resistance AND crowd control resistance by default aswell, meaning my DHIL skill which usually does around 50k, is just barely scraping 7k
Unless this boss is changed i genuinely cannot see myself beating this boss since im reading the boss heals himself in the second phase

Until Adventurine turned up - i say without a doubt that he is ridiculously OP, i mean you can have a complete maxed out team and he would still kick your ass through the first phase - you'll be lucky if you can even make it to the second phase

Yeah... levelled up my Equilibrium and now he one shots me in Phase 2 so I lost 60 times already. I guess I won't be able to progress in the story from this point onward so I might just delete, it's really no fun like this as a casual player.
I would need about 3 months to build the right characters to be able to beat him and I don't have the time or motivation. It was nice while it lasted I guess, bye HSR

this is bullshit you put a op boss in story!? we can do the hard boss later when farming but people who cant beat the boss cant progress in the story.
finally beat this boss after like 7 tries LMAOO here's the team i used for yall that need help with some notes in super dumb dumb razor language
- lynx: stack a LOT of hp on her, energy regeneration rope is very necessary !!!
- asta: stack hp and defense on her
- pela: stack hp and defense with speed boots
- jing yuan: can be swapped out for any other main dps as long as they hit multiple enemies at once, just put all of your best artifacts and pray (it's okay if theyre not that good the fight will just take longer but it's manageable)
one thing of note is that as much as possible do *NOT* use pela's burst especially in the 2nd phase !!! only use it when aventurine targets her for the dice roll mechanic so you can almost guarantee that you'll get the crown roll every single time to play it safe
If you don’t have jing liu, acheron or argenti it’s basically pointless even trying to beat him (I don’t have any of them)
I used Welt, Jing Yuan, Gepard and Bailu and managed to defeat him so no.
Just gotta build f2p units like Serval, Sampoo, Asta, Guinaifen for AOE.

The problem with him is that he does his ultimate in his second fase literally all the time. Like, my sustain characters cant even regen their ults to my team to be able to survive the fight
I used Luocha, Fire TB, Jingliu and Fu Xuan to beat this. 3 sustains who can dish out AOE attacks. For 1st phase, I could just tank my way through the damage, and for the 2nd phase, I just make everyone get 9 points, refreshing their ultimates. Then, I just slowly but surely took down Aventurine's health with my badly built Jingliu.
I literally thought this was gonna be an easy battle before getting humbled, *7 TIMES*
i aint got a good shielder, i dont have ruan mei (literally the go to meta slave character for anything), and the team ive been using is my normal teams for memory of chaos, but this guy is somehow heaps harder than MoC SAM which makes no sense as SAM over level 80 and ten stonehearts aventurine is only 80, i get him to 2nd phase and he just spams his silly roll the dice move which my team gets wiped
let me share my sufferings though comments too. Ahhh.... its impossible for me, i mean cmon.....i was so close to beat him last phase 17%. he killed everyone just like that.

somehow beaten him with Fire TB, Huo Huo, IL dan heng and a level 70 Jing Yuan (i know the boss has Imaginary Dmg Res but I basically had no choice)

Need to have characters with blast or AoE attacks, skill basic or ultimate doesnt matter just have those, I used Blade and herta

You need a preservation and Abundance units to survive further with an aoe attack, and as for dps you need Serval, Argenti, Misha, etc. Of AOE users
@@bimoaji6699 try getting rid of jingliu and put a sustainer or more healer in. I beat it with only gepard lynx and argenti, so can you.
For phase 2
Only use skill point for argenti's skill in the dice section and make sure you always have it for argenti. Outside the dice section no need to use argenti's skill because everytime argenti win the dice fight, he gets full ulti, that's where your dmg come from. The rest skill point should be used for healers and tank.

For anyone needing help this is what I used
Fire trailblazer, march, natasha and dr ratio and finished him first try, you wanna focus on defense and let march slowly damage him. Trailblazer you wanna spam his shield on the characters unless the boss is opened to attacks (once his shield is gone), march you wanna defend natasha then herself then trailblazer then ratio, natasha just slowly heals everyone and dr ratio just his basic attack. It took about an hour to complete it since it takes time but just focus on defending the characters from the attacks and healing them with natasha, when the boss hits a character march will instantly hit him back and that's how you slowly damage him and win. His domain expansion is very annoying but every time you get the opportunity use natasha to heal everyone. Patience is key if you're f2p and barely have any characters like me, these were all free and obtained throughout the story. Hope this helps :)
This man is cracked. My Natasha cannot survive for two rounds in his second phase because of the gamble mechanic. Well, at least I’m not the only one who’s suffering

you should not bring a healer for this fight, Gepard is also not good because he doesn't have any AoE attack which means he is going to die in the 2nd phase. Use Preservation MC since they have a lot of AoE and they can help tank a little bit if you need it

@@meowxc4 if you have Ult ready during the dice phase and you fail to hit the target with Skill or Basic Attack use your Ult to get a second chance. if you succeed the dice roll you will get full refund Ult anyway. always use your Ult as soon as it's ready (unless you need it for the dice) because Aventurine has an attack that drains energy

@@Cy93 Yup, you need 1 preservation to tank and healer for backup. The remaining 2 should be AOE units. I beat him with Kafka, BS, Bailu and FX.
I can’t beat him cuz what the hell? All of my 5 starts have perfectly fine builds and yet I can’t beat him 😢
I got frustrated with this boss for two hours that i have to use my limited resources to try and use other characters for this dude. I used clara, kafka, natasha, march and used the atk+CR and def+Eff res buffs. Had to change relics for my natasha for more hp and spd.
The continuous follow up atks somehow helped me eat away his tanky hp and almost focused my shield for nat unless someone really needed it. Almost never uses march's ult until the dice part of the game so only nat receives aventurines ult with march's shield up because AOE dmg is ur friend with this boss.
Somehow i beat this guy with them. Had to compromise limited mats so i can proceed with the story 😅. Hope this comment can help.
I beat Argenti on the first try and even I think this boss is bullshit
I also realised argenti has quite the advantage in phase 2, since he gets to ult every turn but damn I was always on the edge even with two sustain 😭
I thought it was hard but turns out we just need to be patient. I cannot use my usual harmony because this boss fight strictly needs AOE attack at least in the ultimate. But I need healer and healer typically don't AOE attack, we have Gallagher now but I haven't build him yet so I used Natasha but she guaranteed to get hit in the second phase.
My team is Jing Yuan - Natasha - Fire MC - Pela. If you don't have JY, you can use Serval. It just needs patience.
Finally beat this boss after 2 hours…. Used Imbibitor, Sparkle, HuoHuo and Bailu, the trick was to just cycle through HuoHuo and bailu’s heals (mostly HuoHuo tho), auto with sparkle and bailu and only use 1-2 skill points with Imbibitor. Only use all his sp when he makes u gambled, save his ult for when u somehow hit less than what he gets in his 2nd phase. It’s ok if your sups don’t hit a number equal to or higher as their just there to tank and sustain imbibitor, as long as he lives you’ll beat him eventually… so just rinse and repeat! (FK U AVENTURINE ❤)
Well after 3 attempt with different team combo I finally defeated him 🤧. It's took me almost 1 hour to defeat him with my not so well bluid team - level 60 luocha ( brand new😀) , level 70 serval , Natasha and (preservation) trailblazer 🤡 ( one shielder , 2 healer and one breaker ) .
Hope this team combo be helpful for other too.
Beat this boss with Jing Yuan, Preservation MC, Misha (Herta also work ig) and Gallagher.
For phase 2
You need to save skill points for Jing Yuan and Misha so they can deal AoE attacks. Keep your Ultimate until Aventurine started to gamble. More dice you can hit means you can achieve higher number than him.
I have no problem with Jing Yuan but sometimes Misha's AoE did not reach higher than Aventurine. So thats when the Ultimate comes in to reach higher number. Same goes with Preservation MC.
For Gallagher you must use his ultimate whenever Aventurine start to gamble because his ulti hits all the dice.
There is an attack that can drain your energy but you can gain back your ultimate just by doing basic attack.

Fire TB/March/Natasha/Serval
*Eat food that raise DEF and effect RES before talking to March*
You need both Nat and March to have Cleanse trance. THIS IS THE MINIMUM if you want to run this fight smoothly.
Let me just say that this is the fight of attrition. Stall and trim his HP until you win the entire fight.
1st phase
- If you run DEF food as I mentioned earlier, Aventurine attack wont one shot you unless you low on HP.
- You might want to use TB skill and attack to raise your team shield from time to time. But not always.
- Aventurine has quite good amount of effect RES, so dont expect your taunt to land much.
- use March skill when necessary, you dont want to use it when a target ally have more than 30% coz it's gonna raise hostility to that ally as well.
- Make sure to safe some skill point for Serval to use her skill when Aventurine target her in dice game. She's gonna be fine most of the time.
- Before phase 1 ends, Save all ultimate and skill point and make sure everyone are healthy. It's gonna get nasty...
2nd phase
- Right after phase 1 ended, Aventurine gonna get some turns which he's gonna barrage us with AOE dice and bounce chip attack. if your team is healthy and have DEF food, You can just use Nat ultimate to recover.
- And now the real fight begin. Aventurine will spam dice game to everyone with 4 dices to play with.
- because you can use ultimate to attack dices to get higher score, and becoz Aventurine will ready your ultimate if you win the gamble. SAVE YOUR ULTIMATE exclusively for dices.
- Aventurine dice attack gonna reduce your ultimate abit but that's ok. You can even ultimate immediately after you hit a single dice. March even have follow-up attack to refill ultimate immediately when shielded ally get hit by dice attack (which most likely a TB shield)
- with this fact in mind, the only issue gonna be Nat. She has no way to win a gamble in 2nd phase most of the time. Use March shield on Nat in March gamble time. (coz you gonna win the March gamble with her ultimate anyway) This will reduce the large chunk of damage that gonna land on her considerably. If Nat get debuffed, use March shield to cleanse it asap.
- About Serval, make sure you use her skill to hit 3 dices. And she's pretty free in this fight. Just use Nat ultimate when everyone low on HP (most of actual damage in this fight are AOE dice and gamble nuke on Nat) And becoz she can hit 3 dices in gamble turn, You're pretty free to spam her ultimate as Aventurine gonna lose the gamble and refill her ultimate. (NOTE. you still have some chance that RNG gonna hate you and make Serval lost the gamble. Be prepare for the worst.)
- TB is the most brainless among the four in this fight. You can stop using skill entirely in this 2nd phase coz it's pointless. And becoz TB can do almost the same as Serval, you will have TB shield active almost all the time. Just make sure your ultimate or enhanced normal attack is ready for gamble time. And TB gonna be skill point-positive along with Serval in the entire fight.
That's it. Scratch Aventurine to death. \ ( - x-)/
i used acheron/nat/march/jingliu and what I did was ALWAYS save march's burst so she could cleanse if the others didn't make it. I had horrible rng, lost every dice roll, and died at p2 56% hp. This seems like an okay strat but I may have to adjust my team

The thing is Jingjiu has some downtime for her power-up phase. Which is undesirable. (Unless you gonna save her burst exclusively for dice like March)
My team choice for FireTB, on top of the best one I have, is the fact that TB can spam (upgraded) basic attack quite permanently in 2nd phase. So in a way, TB is the SP generator for this setup too.

Acheron is pretty fine for this fight really. (pretty much better Serval from my setup) just manage SP for her too. (you might need to save her burst for dice sometime if March/Nat need SP more)

If you’re someone who has just reached eq6 your story basically stops here. I can regularly clear up to MoC 11 and got slapped by this boss. I thought it was just me but these comments prove otherwise.
Edit: I did beat him but my team isn’t f2p friendly at all. Used blade, sparkle, bronya, luocha, and just dpa raced him
My team was March, Gepard, Acheron and Clara, before you say "ooOoOOOo you had Acheron so obv you won" Acheron died after like 2 turns man, the fight lasted like 40 mins.

They already nerfed him and and I still can’t beat him, im been going at it for 2 days already and im not making progress, it even had to max out 3 more characters that are his weakened type and they still don’t stand a chance
I feel this 100% I've struggled so much with him. It sucks because the story is pretty great and I would like to see how this continues but I can't fucking beat him. Hopefully you lucky soon

i have done this fight six damn times and the best i have gotten to is phase 2 at 60% hp before he wipes out my whole team 💀 i have farmed and built several new whole ass characters and new teams and i am slowly going insane
I'm hard locked because I increased my Equilibrium level months ago (I only have DHIL Level 80) this is very difficult, they should at least give us the option to lower the difficulty if it's a story fight
Honestly, yeah. It should lower the rewards, and/or trailblaze exp if you lowered the difficulty. I CANNOT progress😭
For those who still find it hard to win this fight, my team maybe can help you out. My team is Jingyuan, Ruan Mei, Linx, and Fire MC. All F2P, ruan mei and linx will always lose the gamble but linx will always have ult back. Try to use defensive team cause i always lose with my acheron team lol

Y'ALL I MADE IT - My team just had 2 ftp characters, so just a heads up! I had Acheron, Jingliu, Natasha, and March 7th (all of them are at Lvl 80 with at least Lvl 13 relics and Lvl 6 traces). Natasha was doing only little healing because March 7th basically saved them from dying! I kept putting defense on each character one by one, plus she (and Acheron in the first half) did most of the break damage. Aventurine was somehow not really targeting March 7th, so she was basically full health throughout! My characters were not once below 50% health during the battle. I only used Jingliu for dealing hard damage! He kept targeting Natasha because she couldn't really spin the dice properly, so I kept having to reapply her defense during that huge coin attack. Hope this helps!!

Folks, use clara, march 7th and gallagher (the only healer suitable) and 1 other dps with the weakness. easy win (but tedious)
I was one ult away from killing him in my first try but his stupid trick killed my healer

This boss made me build my Gepard and Clara. I suggest focusing on surviving instead of doing damage, patience is key with this boss (2 sustains are practically almost necessary fighting him)
Finally beat him (at equilibrium 3) accidentally while I was trying to prove that he's too op.
Used physical mc (fall of aeon, full boxing, space station)
Natasha (Pro quo, full wandering cloud, fleet of ageless)
March (wildfire, full knight of purity, vonwacq)
Serval (cosmos fell, full sizzling thunder, space station).
At first phase I shield mc and save skill points for serval and mc to deal aoe damage and save march ult in case aventurine targets her.
In second phase I shield natasha because she's guaranteed to be aventurines target. Try to save skill points for serval and mc and use their ult if not enough skill points and march uses her Ult to reach the required points. I just repeat this and somehow beat him
Changed my supports for this fcking boss. March and Galaggher half ass built but still good enough to sustain, then jing yuan and sparkle the duo I will never separate. Basically, just save those aoe ults. But this took so long for some reason I hate this.
Sparkle had to take those hits like a champ coz March gives her shield anyway. Can't autoplay this mf
