If only a few seconds, it's good to hear The Tonight Show Band again. I wish all the music could be put back in the reruns. I guess the copyrights won't be going anywhere soon.
He knew the famous from a kid in the midwest. Was xharming and once he was in 6 7 years he knew his guests. His best was being able to make common folj be at ease. They were nervous and he would just use his country small town upbrining use a example to let these people feel at ease. His interview with the 93yr old Illionois farmer is just down to earth.

Does anyone remember when Steve Martin did a slow-motion card trick for Johnny Carson that included him ripping the cards then using scotch tape to put them back together in slow-motion? It was hilarious, but we can´t find it anywhere.
Think sometimes it is hard for us to think of this situation as their own current moment in the timeline. In 50 years people will probably be looking at videos from 2020´s and wondering how different we look compared to their own currrent moment in time.
Because it wasn’t funny. For the most part Steve Martin has never been funny. He’s a damn decent actor and musician, but his comedic talent leaves a lot to be desired.
@@Simonize41 Well! ……At times Steve Martin’s comedic bits do( sometimes) have a lot to be desired, like when Steve Martin was in the movie “ The three amigos ) I found that movie to not be that funny!
I understand that now Steve only does card tricks in the building he is in at the moment. A cockadoodle got that joke. He didn't laugh but he got it. Then he walked away and puked.
I remember this segment but this is really a nice video also can you please upload the first episode of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson please? and I also like Steve Martin (plus His Singing Balls).
@SpinDasher91 Do tapes of his earliest shows exist? I remember Johnny lamenting one night that someone had destroyed or taped over some of the early ones. He was not happy!
Yeah, the 14 of spades was a mistake. He shuffled too good and accidentally created a never seen before card. @J J you are the perfect straight-man. (that's a compliment)
Steve Martin is absurdity. He is the anti-joke. He's The Goonies & Monty Python rolled into Turtle Boy. Hell if he failed on the Tonight Show he'd have made a fine rag picker behind the supermarket. If you don't get it, that's the way he wants it! Seriously, can you imagine going on Carson's Tonight Show with nothing but 4 loaner dogs and a deck of cards? That's the grift!
Everyone needs salvation here are the words of salvation please forgive me jesus im a sinner come into my heart and save me from my sin I no that you are the savior and I no that you died for me on calvary and I no that God raise you from the dead and you are alive and I thankyou for your salvation in Jesus holy name amen and its important to always ask for forgiveness every night 🌙
Steve is just one wild and crazy guy....
😂😂😂 and
Dan Akroyd 😂
That "cow pasture shuffle" had me chuckling. LOL
Johnny gets better every day! From February 15th, 1973 showing to now, it is a classic! Thanks!
If only a few seconds, it's good to hear The Tonight Show Band again. I wish all the music could be put back in the reruns. I guess the copyrights won't be going anywhere soon.
Doc Sevrin is still alive today!
When the tonight show was worth watching.
It's even better now. 😁
@@RugNug of course it's better today everybody so sensitive so all comedians now have to give a box of tissues and an apology letter
@@CRXJDM88 LOLWUT?!
@@CRXJDM88 that’s why it’s not better now.
@Richard Jones thanks for that comment thank you for wasting 2 minutes of your life lol
this is when Steve was at his best! loved his special from same time period.. juggling oranges and drops them... Far away!!!!
i lost it with 14 of Spades😂😂😂
jeanpierre Rivera- you too??😂😂😂😂 the 14 of spades was really funny and silly too!🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's the darkest I've ever seen Steve Martin's hair! 🤯
Darkest it ever was, I think. 😆
You have to watch Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid, it’s hilarious.
There has yet to be an equal to the King of Late Night TV. Johnny Carson was the best.

The best time of my life! I miss this all so much. ❤
If you haven't seen the movie The Jerk I recommend it. Steve Martin is a wild and crazy guy in it.
I saw that movie and it was hilarious.
So cool to watch this early appearance by Steve Martin!
Once...the Tonight Show was great!!!
The cow pasture shuffle finally got me
Johnny Carson's deadpan is amazing
Steve Martin is mister outside the box. LOL
Martin is da GOAT.
"Queen of spades? Well, you're WRONG!!!" 😆

This was essentially a glimpse of Dave Letterman’s Late Show before it existed.
His 77th birthday was yesterday, August 14, 2022.
One of my favorite bits!
only 27 here and you can see his hair starting to go grey already..
Oh Steve Martin!😂😂😂😂 as we all know that there isn’t a 14 of any suit! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
How about two 7s??
@@duanehealing5965 😁😁😁 That’s what Steve Martin said too!😅😅
I forgot he did have dark hair at one time
Yeah, kinda. 🤣
JC best person ever......what a guy
Aside from the fact that he hit his wife….🙄
@@ethanedwards7557 , Jesus, didn’t know that.
First time I see young Steve Martin 🤣

No chance ehrichweiss but he could become a wild and crazy guy.
God loves a working man
whadda Jerk, this Steve Martin guy
Legends
The great flydini.
Even in 1973 he had gray in his hair.
Listen to that lukewarm reception from the audience! 🤣😂😅
The 70s audience sucked. I much prefer the 80s audience
@@saxongirl2054 The 2020's audiences are all on their devices or taking selfies.
I loved Martin's old act, but THAT particular routine and appearance were like watching Andy Kaufman or Jim Gafigan.
Sandy Duncan was so sweet.

Steve Martin with dark hair? This has to be like the very early 70s
14 of spades. LOL.

Wow, Steve Martin with actual hair color!!
It's a good thing Steve got much funnier as the years went by.
This was him at his BEST, he just did what was more accepted as funny later on.
His hair isn’t silver? Wow!!
jesus…johnny and the crowd were giving him nothing. you could tell he wanted to abandon the card bit about halfway through

Steve and I are the same sign
The only good talk show today isn’t even in this country. The best talk show, now days, is The Graham Norton Show from Britain.
