A 17hr Delay, and a Forced Overnight at a Auckland Airport Hotel, saw us descending into the beautiful Chatham Islands after a extremely early morning flight from Auckland (5.00am Check In!). Approach today was via Port Hutt and Waitangi West at the Northwestern end of the main island. A couple of Right Hand turns over the mighty Te Whanga Lagoon to line up Runway 23 at the Airport on Karewa Peninsula.

Very good. Air Chatham flew Convair 580s for a long time but The DC-3 outlives them all.
