ATINATI: THE GEORGIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM

THE GEORGIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM represents the biggest cultural complex in the country consisting of museums: the National Gallery, museum-reserves, famous Georgian artists' house-museums, scientific and research institutions and libraries covering Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia.
From the very beginning each museum has its unique history, collection, and tradition. The newly established organization faced rather a complex mission - create a modern interdisciplinary scientific-cultural institution, based on existing unique traditions; become a place for sharing experiences and knowledge gained through the research of the national treasures; It also would become the scope of entertainment which would imprint Georgia's name on the modern world’s scientific-cultural map.

ATINATI is a new media platform created to produce and curate high-quality digital content about Georgian art and culture. Considering the significant scarcity of information about the country and the simultaneous interest it has sparked among global audiences over the course of the past years, the platform aspires to bring Georgian culture into focus.
Literally meaning “the first ray of light that permeates darkness” or, figuratively speaking, “the first piece of knowledge, clarity” in Georgian, ATINATI is an unprecedented project that promises to manifest local art, fashion, architecture, literature, theater, film, and a variety of cultural realms.
The greatest asset of ATINATI is a sizeable group of its contributors, who are essentially the movers and shakers behind modern-day cultural transformations in Georgia. Through such superior curated content, ATINATI envisions providing readers around the globe with fascinating stories, features, and up-to-date news from the East and West's very crossroads.
