"The game requires a Joypad to be in Port 2 to play and a Light Phaser Gun if you have one in port 1." If I had known this a few years ago when I bought the game I would have saved myself endless hours of being confused as to why I can't play the game (cries).
Man I had my 2 sega light guns I went on like I was Arnold in Commando when playing this. Played it the Arcades also in Blackpool. Takes me back. I would shoot everything the chicken, the civilians the bas guys nothing was safe. This was one of my orignal games bought with my master system 1. Wish I still had it after watching this.
Heads up for anyone wanting to play this on real hardware: Operation Wolf is one of the few PAL games that has glitches when running on NTSC. Specifically, trying to continue resets the game meaning you have to beat it on one credit.
I’ve recently started playing this in the master system. It’s so hard, up to the second to last level and die everytime because the start of the level energy is so low and you can’t continue with another life
IMO the best versions are 8bit Amstrad and Spectrum. Fast paced, good framerate (hello ST!) and overall well balanced action on the screen with tons and tons of enemies...
I didn't know they made this on the sega. I played it on the NES. It was one of those Nintendo Hard games back in the day, and it looks like the ported the difficulty right over. Good job the run.
@@IIIDaGIII Not only was it released on the NES, but it also supported the NES zapper gun. You still needed to press a button on the controller for the grenades though. It was good. : )
this game seems to not be playable without a lightgun if you emulate him. The controller is detected, but the aim cursor is not viszible.I wonder why, the original game allows playing with a controller only as well.
Graphics are slightly better than the NES version. Loved it back in the day.
So, who else played this with the lightgun pressed right up against the screen?
Random civilian in the jungle - now is the perfect time for a jog

That is very helpful, thsnkyou, you saved me so much confusion. I was going to sell it
@@rodimusprime9599 There's very little on this online that's the problem.

Mit dem SEGA Light Phaser ein durchaus spaßiges Spiel. @Mad-Matt: great gameplay.
Used to play this in boarding school back in the day.
Insane difficulty, no story background, shoot pigs and kill civilian.
What a masterpiece 🐎🥵
There is a story, you are out to rescue hostages from the enemy. You needed nothing more.

Best played with a hand controller, because of moving the reticle and using grenades.
A worthy port of the Arcade version. I wonder if there's a port with FM sound for it.

Increíble juego de mi infancia

WTF?! Was Operation Wolf realesed on the NES? I thought it was a Sega exclusive!

@@IIIDaGIIIIt was also released on the PC Engine and the FM Towns Marty (with background music). So hardly an exclusive.

The memories man 😢 spent far too many hours on this it reminded me of Rambo 😆
😂💔 I never end this game
Graphically better than the NES port.
Not by much.
Those are some really small chopters.
Now look up T2 arcade game on the MSX
On what platform/emu are you playing this on?
Will Scarlett I know he’s playing it on a master system dipshit
Probably Mednafen, they use that emulator quite a bit for their longplays.
@@Bloodreign1 That is true.
Graphics look a little better than nes version
GOOD GOOD GAME!!!!!!!!! 10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡
Viejos recuerdos.
PUSH START BUTTON
OR
PULL THE TRIGGER
Jesus Christ game, laying it on thick there.
I detect a fraud. You never went through the frustration of making this game work did you?

Atari st is the best version
No, PC Engine and FM Towns Marty are.
@@Bloodreign1 ST fairs pretty well though.
