Using a Cake Safe is the easiest way to travel with a cake without it being damaged.
I actually made this cake for Kandi Burruss' birthday and I had to travel 3 hours to deliver it.

Wow!! They’ve come a long way with the tiered cake box. That cake isn’t going anywhere, lol.
Tiered cakes are $$$$. Believe it or not, it was nothing to have 150 wedding cakes every weekend during spring and summer. Contracts with about 20 wedding venues and the rest were just people who knew we had it going on. Complaints were rare too.

I would also secure the safe in so much bubble wrap that nothing could tip it over. Seriously, it would have such a snug fit in back that air would have no room to squeeze in!

I never understood why caterers and bakers don't travel with their cakes covered when transporting to the venue. It's always completely exposed in the back of the van next to other equipment, people, and bare floorboards. 😕
