Man…having quite a raging and struggling moment like this reminds me of the time where I kept raging at this one level from the Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros Brawl, where the soundtrack titled “Climb up! And get the last chance!” from F-Zero would start playing at the beginning of the level and make literally everything else extremely hard and annoying to conquer and complete the level!

Challenge: Make a room with custom items and make it so the crazy 8 gives you 8 coins, then drive over the line with 8 coins circling around you (preferably in 1st)
So I know this video is a few months old, but I just wanted to explain y people love excitebike so much.
The leading reason could definitely be how fun it is to play on. It isn't as aesthetically pleasing as the other tracks, but you can easily do trick after trick and it makes it really fun to ride on.
Very fun video. Have you seen the challenge where in 12 consecutive races you have to finish every position from 1 through 12? I think that challenge could be fun to watch
On my phone this video is fine but when I connect it to my switch the audio goes 30 seconds ahead because it skipped most of lap 3 on bowsers castle the first one

Hey Troy, I have a challenge suggestion for ya. Attempt to do a challenge akin to that of the vehicle retirement challenge that you uploaded recently in MKWii (the lose VR with combo = drop it) but this time obviously in MK8DX, you could use the old meta, the new meta, and any combo of your choice for example and see how it goes.

Here's a challenge. Podium position with each of the inside drift tiers. Yoshi bike/comet, jet bike/sport bike and master cycle. 3 tiers with each getting progressively worse.
What combo do you normally use; this combo still has average handling(3.5), traction(3.75), and serviceable mini-turbo(2.75) with Bones' great stats? If you want to see what terrible handling is, try using Bowser or Morton with this combo(1.5 handling, 2.75 traction, and 1.5 mini-turbo).
I love using the Dry Bones + Badwagon combo-

Lakitu/Koopa/Baby Peach/Baby Daisy
Tanooki Kart/Koopa Clown/Master Cycle Zero
Ancient Tires
And many gliders have max traction, I'd say if you want more of a challenge, go with
Super Glider/Hylian Kite/Waddle Wing
If you want it to be a little easier (more miniturbo and accel), go
Paper Glider/Flower Glider/Parachute/Cloud Glider

You create 10 different karts from, best to worst.
When you gain points you move to the next worst kart in the list. When you lose points you move to the next best kart in the list.
Can you end the session with a net gain of points.

i dont know if this would be a good challenge for a video but i find it entertaining to wait 20 seconds at the start of a race and see if i can win!

Boo Pro didn't necessarily miss the Double Item Box.
A quirk of Mario Kart 8's online is that Item Boxes sometimes don't disappear when collected. They do get collected by the driver in front and if you get the same Item Box you will get the same Item(s).
Idea for your next challenge : you have to wait for the last to pass you for start the race and try to win it. Good luck🙃
maybe you can try out another MK8 Deluxe challange, were you have to use randome generated carts and characters for each race, you don't be first to third place. For the randome generation of your character, you can set Mario as 1 and going left Luigi 2 and so on / and for cart parts the standart ones as 1 and goning down you increas the number.
Sadly boo only wont work, you cant steal a boo and it would only give you single shrooms when you steal..
Unless you find an item that just works perfectly with the boo

Is the video a bit choppy when watchi g at 60fps for anyone else? At 30fps it looks smooth, but at 60 it gets a bit slideshowy.

Sadly, you're also wrong. The Standard ATV and gold tires have slightly less invincibility than badwagon. So therefore, you didn't use the worst combo. Besides, I think Baby Rosalina with this combo is worse because of less speed than the new Waluigi wiggler (Luigi Teddybuggy Gla). Nice video and challenge though.
I feel like the badwagon has a bigger hit box since it's shaped more rectangular, could be wrong tho
The Standard Atv I think is taller than badwagon tho. But the atv and gold tires are still worse statwise by .5 invincibility reduction than combo in video.
It feels like every time you drift with the badwagon it’s taking up more space which matters more than how tall a vehicle is. I understand the invincibility difference but the ATV feels better when I’ve used it

My man with the TASTE in tracks, I do not understand the appeal for Borebike at all either. It's only decent on 200cc, hence I put it in E tier rather than F tier. It was kind of made for 200cc. It's probably the worst, most bland track on 150cc IMO.

To be honest that combo is literally mk8dx version of the infamous jettsetter from Mario kart wii

Challenge : using the best combo but gotta get last place up to 1st place in order and if you get a different number that’s not 12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 in the exact order then you gotta start over
this is me in Mario kart wii.
I don’t know all that much about what works and doesn’t in mk8dx but what makes it so bad is it the mini turbo
Its because really good combos try to have average/above average stats in addition to either having a high total amount of speed + mini-turbo or really high mini turbo. In addition to having pitiful SPD + MT, most of its stats are either average (speed, handling, traction) or below average (mini-turbo, acceleration).
This results in a slow vehicle with unimpressive maneuverability that has a hard time recovering when hit (high invincibility notwithstanding). Finally, when underwater, gliding or in anti-gravity, its EVEN SLOWER. I pity Troy for having to use it for 45+ minutes
