In the video you said that you only shampoo your hair once a week. I wanted to know how often you wash your hair? I also have type 4 hair and I am trying to see how many days a week other type 4 naturals wash. Love your channel. Has helped my daughter and I a great deal. I also wanted to know what edge control you use a this time?.

Cantu doesn't work for me either! I've noticed that the Leave In conditioner leaves white residue on my hair (it doesn't really moisturize it). A lot of other people don't get this. What does it mean when a product leaves white residue on your hair?

Fabulous video very informative. Lovely hair. I have type 4 coily dense thirsty hair lol. Best leave in ever for me is MIXED CHICKS great for ALL HAIR TYPES - pricy but a little goes a long way. My hair thrives on Carols daughter products leave in, balms and their hair butter. Kinky curly custard is the best for very hot climate areas and warmer seasons to control frizz for my hair. My favorite sealants shea & coconut butter (on a budget you can use Crisco-it sounds crazy I know lol-it has the veggie oils read the ingredients it will surprise you it did for me). Any frizz issues use OGX hair serums, John Frieda Extra strength or Paul Mitchell skinny serum (P.M. products are amazing!). You already mentioned my favorite deep conditioners lol. Detangling Kinky Curly Knots today (get a separate bottle - part product/part water to mix for best result), Shea Moisture and Creme of Nature. The whole line to ORS is INCREDIBLE! ALIKAY products is next on my list to try out. Thanks for sharing.

Amen for the cantu thing. it does nothing for my hair either. the shampoo strips my hair and snaps it, ad the leave in flakes when there's nothing in my hair but water. shea moisture has done wonders for me and i'll def try out more of their products though it can be pricy.

Another important tip for type 4 hair more so than pre pooing is simply detangling before washing!
It will help alot with reducing the tangles from shampooing. Type 3 girls, especially 3c can benefit from this too.
Also 4c girls will need more heavy gels and thick butters to define their coils, especially if their hair is thick! I recommend wet line extreme or even eco styler olive oil for full proof wash and gos if you're not allergic.

New subscriber! It's been a while since I subscribed to a hair vlogger because I kind of burned myself out on hair RUclips videos a couple of years ago lol. I watched 3 of your videos before I subscribed and I really enjoyed them. You are very knowledgeable, not just about your own hairstyle and it's obvious with how confident you seem talking about them. Anyway, I've been natural for about 3 yrs. now. I really like Shea Moisture's Manuka honey and mafura oil intensive hydration treatment masque for extra dry hair. I actually prepoo with it (I detangle my hair before washing in the shower) but I would also deep condition with it. Even if I leave it in for a day, my hair stays moist.

Thanks for sharing your recommendations. I am type 4 high/med porosity hair and Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic is my favorite styler. I love Oyin Hair Dew and Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia as my leave ins and moisturizers. For twist outs I love Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting Butter and Carols Daughter Healthy Hair Butter. I usually convert a wash n go into a twist out. So these products work well with each other. I am trying the Jamaican Mango & Lime Pure Naturals Coconut Butter Creme and so far I am liking it.

I’m type 4 high porosity my hair use like cantu but some reason it leave white flakes in my hair. I’d tried Creme of Nature products, except for the shampoo my hair loves it.
So I’ve tried out the product from Aunt Jackie Curl la la, Aunt Jackie Knot on my watch instant detangling. First time did a flat twist fingers 💖🙈 I’ve been a natural for second time running so far, no more weaves. First ever I’ve made 2 wigs people can’t believe I did it myself. Plus it’s never too late to try things out. I’ve turned 54 last month whoopee 😜

Jazmin Bailey Use Organix Moroccan Argan oil or Organix coconut hair milk shampoo & conditioner. This helped to moisturise my hair. I also have low porosity and my hair is thick.I make my own hair mask every week and leave it in overnight then wash it out I hope this helps you.

Its weird for me i do the "poristy method" and im "low" but i have very dry and frizzy hair on my back and top (the bottom of my hair its healthy lol) Im 3b hair if i use heavy product to hydrate i lose volume.
What should i do? use more water to soften the product?
its like 50% healthy and 50% dry and frizzy.
Its my fault my transition was bad and i end like this.
I cut my hair in feb.
(i try to explain im not perfect speaking but im well to understand)

Even you have hair from 3b-4c I have some products I’d like to recommend.
SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Caster Oil Shampoo; the product is amazing and doesn’t strip hair.
Aussie mega moist; the product has amazing slip..
For leave in I recommend the Jamaican Black Caster Oil leave in from SheaMoisture, the product is great
And eco styler is a great gel to hold it in.
