- 12-year-old Jaylen Griffin was found dead inside a Buffalo home last week. Multiple neighbors 7 News spoke to said there have been issues stemming from that home for years.

The poor baby was assaulted, murdered then thrown in an abandoned home. Some sick freak did this and is walking around alive. How come I haven’t heard of this child on the news??? 4 years!!!

We don't feel safe in the Broadway neighborhood either. Someone who came to our neighborhood killed a 12 year old child and is still walking around free to snatch another child. We don't feel safe.

That's my argument. Someone needs to explain QUICK how NO ONE smelled it. The neighbors on each side absolutely would have. Residents in the house absolutely would have. This is a halfway house? Counselors and social workers never smelled it?

These organizations are there to supervise/guide/aid these individuals in leading healthy lives and they collect ample tax dollars to do so.....
So if that's the case we'll likely find out because the organization will be held accountable if jobs weren't being done properly.

@pppopai- They don’t know how long his body was in the house. A Maintenance man found him but they are trying to figure out if he was moved there from another location. The neighbors never smelled any odor of decomposition.
This child was missing for four years in an attic. So sad.😢 My condolences to his family. I hope the evil person who took his life will be held accountable. Justice for the child's family.🙏

NO ONE IS ANSWERING HOW NOT A SINGLE NEIGHBOR REPORTED THE ODOR OF DECOMP COMING FROM THAT HOUSE, *OR* They did report it and Police did nothing!!! The ONLY way there was no odor was that Jaylen did not die there. Google images for all 4 years show those attic windows OPEN. That's what people do when they think they're airing out that odor, but their actually letting out so the neighbors can smell it. Yet no one did?

The police investigators can request placement tenants list and receive assignment living arrangement per room from the last four yrs on sex defender or questions the manager and tenants. My condolences to the family and friends. My the guilty person or people will soon show from the dark but in the light. 🙏🏽
Its possible some associates were living there too. Folks that wasn't documented on the tenant list.

You can smell when a mouse or small animal is decomposing in a house . We had a dead critter under our deck and could smell it in the house . And nobody noticed the smell coming from the attic in this house? I can only imagine what this poor child had to endure in that house . I hope they find whoever did this and lock him up for the rest of his life .

We heard nothing about the boy it was all about the safety of neighbors and other issues with the house.
So the boy died 4 yrs and they only found out now, so no one even suspected or smell the dead body, that must be very painful to the parents, may his soul rest in peace

THIS part. Even the neighbors on either side. They didn't smell it? Bullshit! But they kept their mouths shut. Maybe chalked it up to a dead animal. Shameful. I mean, hell, even if that's what it turned out to be, CALL CODE ENFORCEMENT, at least, if you don't think it's a police matter!! Are they the same residents today that were there in 2020, if not, where are they today, this is a home for troubled residents so there SHOULD be a paper trail! How can ALL tenants NOT smell a decaying body inside the home! So many IMMEDIATE questions come to mind!

This story is crazy. This boy went missing and his two brothers and mother has been looking for him for years. THEY’RE ALL DEAD NOW. This story is deep. A lot of pieces to it.
Bless the little angel and his family. 4 years? No one saw anything? No one called police? Was there an Amber alert? Didn't anyone in area smell the decomposition? Something is not sitting well here. When the neighbors call in complaints about these "rooming" "transient" or "recovery" houses; those reports should be immediately sent to the police. Multiple offenders were living in that home; most likely no record of him, as many of these rooming houses DO NOT do background checks, they just take the money from the government and rent the rooms to anyone off the street. The neighbors living in the vicinity of ANY of these type of homes MUST protect their children. Cameras should always be pointed towards those type of houses to save someone's child.
