Definitely not true (and has literally been demonstrated in the stats in this clip???). People in the last year of GO were using M4A4 far more bc the fact that is was more exxy wasn't as much of an issue.

Actually when the economy is good, the pros does use it; especially B players on maps like mir, inf and ancient. And I'd say a case can be made for a4 being better than a1-s, of course it changes from position to posiiton
The economy needs a change since the rounds to win have changed. It makes no sense in my opinion to have it be the same. Like why do you have to double save? Let’s make it so you have to save one round max

I love the m4a4. Maybe it is because of the dragon king skin but still. 10 more rounds is a game changer.
I only ever use m4 because it has objectively better skins (dragon, player, emperor etc etc)
Other than that it has no benefits over s, if magazine size matter in a fight I'd rather buy an smg
Yeah, having more bullets per mag can definitely be a game changer. Especially defending a site against more than two Ts.

the sound of the shots of the m4a4 are so satisfying
“99 in 2” needs to go away. One headshot and one body shot is plenty to kill an enemy. M4A4 is going to reign king over M4A1-S.
I don't think they did, but to me it feels like they fucked with the damage in this game. I tagged a guy 87 in 2 with a scout yesterday, why do I have to hit someone 3 times with the fucking scout now? And sometimes, a scout body shot and a deagle body shot aren't even enough to kill someone..

The easier recoil makes it easier for people who dont want to learn the pattern of the a4 as well

@@x-.ivan.-x Enemy already knows I’m around the corner, what use is the silencer then? I can spam through smokes without very obviously giving away my position, but then I hardly have any ammo to shoot the enemy.
@@Oscylot88 if 20 bullets is not enough for you to kill an enemy it is your problem
Silencer and no tracer == delayed enemy team response in finding out your location even if there are no smokes and you are simply shooting from an angle
M4a4 has no benefits and it is just a worse and more expensive ak that cant kill with headshot. There is never any reason to use m4 (i only ever use it for a change or if i get a nice new skin lol)

M4a4 with 10 bullets more it’s just a game changer, and you can’t change my mind.
m4a1 is meant for cqc and stealth (higher damage up close, better movement accuracy, best movement accuracy of any rifle when suppressor is removed), m4a4 is meant for mid-long range and accuracy (slightly more accuracy and long range damage, more bullets for less reloading)
Tf, am I the only one that is not understanding it? "The problem is not that its the more expensive rifle in ct side, people choose the m4a1-s because its 200$ cheaper." Then why do u say that the problem is not it being more expensive when literally a second after u say that they buy the m4a1-s because its cheaper.. And I know about the bullets in smoke etc. But just why say that money is not the reason when seconds after, the first reason is the money..

M4A4 is like ct ak47 so if you have good aim it is very effective

It takes 4 shots to kill someone with an m4a1-S and 5 shots with an m4a4 so even though it has a higher fire rate the kill time is still faster with an m4a1-S
This is the real reason and economy has nothing to do with it

That's a completely different gun. It's just the m4a1 then, the only benefit that I can think of is that it has better moving accuracy than the other rifles.
M4A4 can realistically have a suppression barrel too but the game doesn't want that.
The ten rounds are soo important in situations where you can't reload and you're facing multiple enemies at once.
Clearly it's because the a1-s has more expensive skins (xcept for the howl)

They should just make it back to old school CS and just have one M4. It was such a good comparison to have back then. AK = 1 shot potential vs M4 w/ silencer + 2 shot potential.

I feel like a fun change would be to change the 666rpm rate of fire to 720rpm to justify the stronger rifle being more expensive
It depends what site, what angle am i playing and which map. Both is really good
I use the A1 because of the feel, bullets seem to just go where I want and the extra ammo is real nice
As an avid a4 player the spray through smoke and multi kill ability is easily why i use it.
The problem is that the next chance I get, I'm swapping that m4 for an AK and would like to save a little cash for when I just die with it.
m4a4s fire rate is what makes it better than a1s. usage highly depends on how the enemy team is pushing
CT eco just needs an overhaul in general. You're almost always fucked on eco when you lose just one round, vs you lose on T you can still buy AK armor
A1s for more lang range Maps or positions , A4 for Maps or positions that involve more Close Combat.
A1-S is like a weapon from COD ported over to a game with actual recoil mechanics. You don't have to worry about strafing or recoil control, just put crosshair on head and shoot. If you have pro aim it's the perfect weapon.
I keep seeing people die using m4a1s because how slow it is to shoot when direct engagement with an ak
it's actually crazy how much better the AK feels than both M4s in CS2 (imo)
With full armor, sometimes its possible that you shoot at head with M4A4 and the enemy still not die.
Silenced does more damage, has better recoil and doesn’t make much noise. Unsilenced does less damage, makes a lot of noise, worse recoil and the ONLY upside is the amount of bullets.
never played csgo/cs2 but i felt like M4A1 should be M4A4 reskin because its literally just a direct upgrade, speaking from playing cs 1.6/cs source
You forgot one thing, a4 deals less damage-ish the a1 can 4 shot someone at close range while the a4 neds to 5 shot (5 shots goes for both I think about from mir window to mid top) but the a4 has a less of a damage over distance dropoff so it can deal consistent damage over longer distances while the a1 cannot. So it all comes down to position, as i am a (inferno) apps player (wingman) I prefer the a1 because of the lower tine to kill.
Lol this reminded me of the guy in cs:go whose youtube name was something like "M4A1S is unbalanced and the developers don't care" and he used to comment the same thing on every csgo video.
I wouldn’t say one is better than the other because of their multiple differences to balance. The a1-s takes one less shot to kill at short and mid range which a4 makes up for it with the faster fire rate. With the recent price change as well to just 3000 for the a4.
Also I think a1s does more dmg per bullet, which when combined with lower cost and smoke spam is more viable
Because before csgo was turned into cs2 the m4a41s got a damage buff lol so its always a 4 shot where the m4a4 isnt always 4 shot

Loved the A4 ever since I started playing. That extra 10 shots and faster fire speed did wonder on many B rush hold.
Because of the silencer. If you put yourself in areas where there's more than 1 cover, you make the most of it.
It's the spray & recoil for me. the M4A4 is a bitch to handle.
If you can control the ak, you got the M4. The S is easy mode.
I use both. I only have the A1 equipped, but my friend with whom I always play Wingman has the A4 equipped. If I save an AK for him, he drops me an A4, and I like using it.
Also M4A4 deals less damage everywhere on body except headshot, but you still can't one shot if headshot
may be a bad loadout that makes me feel that way: but i feel like my economy takes more of a hit when losing the CT pistol round than when losing the T pistol round.
Actually no it's just true: after losing the T pistol round i still have enough money to barely afford a P90, after losing the CT pistol round i barely have enough money for an MP7 and Armor
M4A4 also has better long range damage. The only benefit of the A1-S is the silencer and the price (which is pretty huge)
I'm so used to the A4 spray that when I use the a1s i just overcompensate and hit body
I remember back in the day u got 1900$ for losing the pistol and then they changed it so force buys weren't as strong, think it might be a good idea to bring it back up to 1900$
I was quite surprised when I saw there’s no change to the economy system when cs2 got released. I still find myself not being able to buy m4a4+kevlar&helmet+all utils after 2 rounds of full save. It was fine in mr15 but maybe not fit for mr12.
So yeah, I have to go with m4a1s simply for the cheaper price point.

I like a4 for close range multifrag spots like B car on dust2. I’ve run out of bullets so many times there with a1s
I use the M4, when switching between M4 and Ak the recoil is closer. Once you get used to it the M4 is always a better buy. It also depends on position. If you are going to solo a site, M4. if you are with a group, go for the S. The lower recoil and smaller pattern is actually a bad thing because it messes with my muscle memory. If I have an M4 and pick up a AK, no. S and pick up an AK? Whiff unless tapping.
That's actually a really interesting point about how the total rounds have changed but loss bonus & scaling haven't changed!
There's so many things about CS2 that are just sloppy ports from CS:GO that make me wonder if valve are tanking this game on purpose

While cs2 is designed to win rounds on force buys with super buffed smgs/shotguns with high kill potential and kill money
Cs2 is better in everyway than the trash that csgo was, and now even the hacking situation is better than csgo which was unplayable on official matchmaking servers

they have to nerf the accuracy of the first 4 shots for the m4a1s its ok that the overall spray pattern is much smaller but with the bigger head hitboxes in cs2 they have to do something about the initial accuracy

A4 vs a1s depends on economy, position, and playstyle. No need to change anything as they are well balanced rn
I think that boosting the economy would be a good idea but i also think that if they make the m4a4 be a guaranteed headshot at all range with a helmet, like the ak, it would be used a lot more
I agree that it would be used more if that was the case. Through doing so it defeats the purpose of the AK being the tool for T side pushes.

It seems that valve already made the m4a4 cheaper by 100 dollars, i guess it needs a some little buff by damage (by headshot) and for A1-s is lower headshot damage but higher armor penetration and damage to body (i think i said the same thing but still) and lastly for the AUG, it also needed to be cheaper by $100 and a little more damage, oh, one more thing, the economy is needed to be reimagined
Thank god they changed the price gap to only be 100 but I think it’s the recoil and spread on M4-S that makes it better than the M4A4
Just use them both in your load out. You can use the better a4 but fall back on the a1 when you can’t afford the a4
It depends on the economy. I never use it now a days since I buy nades which is more fun to use and more versatile
I dont have the m4a4 equipped. If my economy is good, i use the aug. It seems better in every way, apart from the firerate (same as m4a1s, less than m4a4.) But if im anchoring a site, the slower fire rate means i can shoot for slightly longer than the m4a4 (same mag size, lower firerate.) And the scope helps a ton for anchors. Other than that, i use the m4a1s.

You can use both rifles in different positions, If you dont consider the economy.
A1S would be better suited for short fights and holding off angles and A4 would be better in long fights or holding an open position or even if you solo hold a site you can recover easily with an A4.
I use it because rate of fire is slower, and people cant hear where i shoot them from when i flank.
My fav is the A1-S but personally i use the M4A4 in bot matches

The M4A1 and M4A4 are already balanced in my opinion, but 100 more dollars on round loss would make a huge difference in ensuring teams have more money to play with
I don’t play cs anymore but I always thought that the M4 Unsilenced should be 1 shot head shot. Maybe too OP for CT side though.
The m4a4 is superior over the m4a1-s because of the higher fire rate, magazine size and burst damage. The reason it’s chosen more is because it’s beginner friendlier with less recoil so silvers can spray and pray more, treating it like an smg and not bother about counter strafing. Because it has better sustained fire, it’s better for lower ranks because the average fire exchange in lower ranks take 2-3 business days so obviously, the majority of the playerbase prefer a noob friendlier weapon.
Except the biggest difference in favour of the A1-S is in pro matches (HLTV stats), so, you know…

It’s fair to say no one cares about pros in your average game where CTs plays a little game called “try to invade T spawn as fast as possible”. Team play goes really well with an A1S imo. But pros switch between A4 and A1S faster than jennifer lopez switches husbands. Same reason rarely anyone uses an aug despite it being a good gun. Because pros don’t use them.

To balance the M4A4 more effectively, it needs a cost reduction. Currently, costing 200 more than the A1-S for worse recoil and less penetration doesn't make sense
I use both depending on what map im on and where im holding. If im on inferno holding boiler and mid from short i use the m4a4 (pretty much close range). If im on b coffins holding banana im using the m4a1s (bit longer range especially if u have to Fall back a bit)

Tbh I used to use the A4 in csgo a few years ago and when I picked cs2 up again it felt very different when I spray with it. Otherwise I would for sure still run it so I can spam more 🤣

Get the A4 save economy by buying only 1 kit per site and save 300 by only buying armor since helmet is useless once AK's come out to play

It's true I play csgo since 2018 and I playing always m4a4 but after cs2 realising I play ONLY m4a1-s
The M4A4 is only good when youre rushing or when you get rushed but youd probably die anyways before you get to shoot the extra 10 bullets
Been using the A4 only for years. It just feels better. Don't really know how to better explain it, but the A4 recoil, spread, and fire rate feel so much better than the A1S to me.
Exacly, a1 spray is horrible. Noobies likes it because they just run down mouse and get 50/50 while rest of weapons needs more brain usage. M4A4 spray is just better.
