  • This show the final steps of preparation to be run.
    We do not use any chemical treatments in our club, so no information on that is in the video. However if you are allowed, using a tire oil of your choice for smoothing can yield good results. Experiment at your own risk.

    Thanks for the info and thoughts. I was looking for this and had been struggling with the edges and clean up of the burrs...... Nailed it with the info here. Thanks again

    I have a Hudy & a Cobra truer. I never ran the NSR tires, usually foam & now some urethanes. I'll have to get some NSRs & try them for fronts. These two videos should be very helpful for anyone trueing NSRs.

    Have you ever used NSR oil conditioner on super grips or ultra grips?

      Yes I have used it. Any oil has similar effects IMO. 3 in 1 or liquid wrench are very effective. If you are building a car for a proxy or for long-term running, I recommend staying away from the oils however. They usually degrade in grip faster if they have been treated too much.
