I've been watching Devolver drop things about this game, I wasn't completely sold on it. I expect diegesis from games that have an intense narrative. I don't want to spend my video game time on veritable comics and/or animation films. This video finally sold me on the game. Kudos Nerial! Kudos Devolver!
6:20 Ah, basically QTE, too bad it was thought to be “fun”. I really, really didn’t fancy the time limits. I liked everything in the game, didn’t mind the learning curve (which was fun), but timed stuff is a deal breaker for me. And it looked like the game doesn’t mess around with time, either.
Hey guys, the game is amazing but I think I'm stuck at a point where the game forces me to lose. I'm playing the game against McGregor and Louis XV and I'm starting with 660 coins. If I follow M.me de Beauregard's instructions and make McGregor and the King win in the first two rounds, I don't have enough money to make the third bet and the game ends. If I try and get good cards to myself to get some money first, the game end triggers anyway and my last check point won't allow me to access the map to farm some money elsewhere. Anybody can help me? I think the game isn't supposed to lock me in this loop Edit: btw I'm playing on medium difficulty
It's a great game but has a ton of softlock bugs like that. You can report it on the Nerial discord but there's already been a bunch of similar reports on there... they say they hope to get them fixed in the next update.

Ya it’s so great! I loved learning about occult medicine and astrology. I was shocked to find out the main character was a real person haha

If you're on PC, this should be resolved now. The Switch update is on the way to fix it as well!
