@Vladimir_Hans I got the 4080 bc it was a thousand dollars cheaper as an abs prebuilt from Newegg. Than a 4090 prebuilt. They use all name brand parts. Good quality parts as well. You guys should watch latest developer talk on Moore law is dead channel that developer is saying that this vram issue(games requiring more vram) is going to get much worse with upcoming titles... People who bought gpu with higher vram must be feeling good right now
That was basic common sense. As the engines develop and less and less loading menus are the objective, we need more vram and ram. Not even talking about high quality textures
Dear Fabio, how many Hz does your monitor provide here (144/160 or another)? In many games you have ~160 FPS. But in some even 100. After years of investigating the FPS and its connection with the performance, there is still a question. So, what FPS should be provided for a 165 Hz monitor? As I suppose 60-70 FPS will interfere with 165 Hz, so that monitor would choke and the result will be like you have a 60 Hz monitor. Is it enough 80-90 FPS for 165 Hz or it should be at least 100-120 FPS with the optimal value 165 FPS for 165 Hz? Thank you.

Im really on the fence to get the 4080 but the price is the only thing holding me back honestly I would love to get the rx 7900xtx but the power consumption and temp is a major turnoff for me. 😢
What temps? Temps are perfectly fine on those cards, they do consume more though, but not that much more as people think. 7000 show the full board power, not the gpu core power
parece que a parte "The ascent" está descrita errada, onde é "The Ascent (RT)" o ray tracing está desabilitado e no com dlss está habilitado mas com o próprio dlss desabilitado.
Could you test the last of us I think it's interesting because of the vram usage, a lot of Nvidia users are unhappy about the high allocation. Would be nice to get your take on the subject.
Hey! Got a question. My GPU has 8 GB of VRAM and when I play Project Zomboid, it maxes out. I use many mods and have all the texture sizes and stuff maxed out to 2048 MB. Is full VRAM usage (8 GB out of 8 GB) an OK thing or can it harm my GPU?
Nope, VRAM in gpu just stores the textures of your games, it's just like your RAM or any storage you have. If the VRAM is not enough, it stores the other textures in your systems actual RAM so dont worry, I'm pretty sure it wont do damage to your GPU
As always, any doubts, leave them in the comment section!

Were at 4k at even 240hz with some monitors now. So kind of want 240fps for those monitors. So I'm kind of expecting 144-240fps for the 4k 240hz monitors now. Theres 8K tvs now 100hz. Not 60hz. Im hoping that the next gen stuff the 5000 series we will start seeing 60-144fps 8K gaming.
Excellent work. This would be an amazing card for $650. Looking forward to some decent sales in Q4.
$650? Haha you wish. The 3080 wasn’t even worth that when it released. 4080 over performs both the 3080 and even 3090ti… people wanna set unrealistic price points because they know they can’t afford it. 4080/4090 are the best cards right now, for sure they won’t be worth $650 for another 2 years and even if you’re lucky to find one “used” and not new.
@@mysticqro950 800-900$ would have been acceptable
@@mysticqro950tbh if it was at least 900 -1000 it be worth it, but as of now I cannot find one that isn’t close enough to a 4090 where I’m not asking myself, why not save just a little bit more and get that? It’s overpriced and doesn’t have a market for anyone.
@@mysticqro950true $1k tho?
I was thinking about downgrading from 4k to 1440 but the difference in FPS is not as huge to compensate the loss of the beauty of 4k specially on a 32" monitor
Yeah, you're better using 4K+DLSS in your case if you want more FPS
@Vladimir_Hans I got the 4080 bc it was a thousand dollars cheaper as an abs prebuilt from Newegg. Than a 4090 prebuilt. They use all name brand parts. Good quality parts as well. Msi motherboard, msi graphics card, kingston ram/ssd, ek elite water cooling for 2499 without tax. It was actually way cheaper to buy this prebuilt than the parts they used. I wanted to play at 1440p 240hz which this graphics card can.
HELLO friend.. what is the version of msi afterburner you are using??
The current one
I'm excited to see an example of how I would play games with this same cpu and gpu! and at the same 1440p resolution
Great 💪💪💪
Dear Fabio, how many Hz does your monitor provide here (144/160 or another)? In many games you have ~160 FPS. But in some even 100.
After years of investigating the FPS and its connection with the performance, there is still a question. So, what FPS should be provided for a 165 Hz monitor? As I suppose 60-70 FPS will interfere with 165 Hz, so that monitor would choke and the result will be like you have a 60 Hz monitor. Is it enough 80-90 FPS for 165 Hz or it should be at least 100-120 FPS with the optimal value 165 FPS for 165 Hz? Thank you.
A monitor with freesync will adjust the hertz according to your fps numbers, that's all. More fps = more hz (up to 160 in this case)
@@AncientGameplays And if to turn off freesync - will it be very smooth or its useless? Am I right that for 160 Hz we need 160 FPS video card?
@@buzzfroggis2550 always use freesync and always stay inside your range
Fabio i bought a 6700xt it will arrive tomorrow inchallah
Should i delete my nvidia drivers with ddu ( I'll need them later )
Yes, do it, always ddu the older drivers even more if from a different brand
@@AncientGameplays thank you so much

A second video would be good, testing Ark, Battlefield 2042, Forza Horizon 5, etc.

I wish rtx 4080 was a bit cheaper
Great video, thanks for sharing!….
Thanks!
Are you running a undervolt by any chance ?
Just OC on this one
this is my first ever pc, idk what im doing so thanks. hehehe
You're welcome 💪
so, is rtx 4080 OVERKILL at 1440p?
Not for me
*Just got i9 13900k rtx 4080 pc*
Nice

4080 is a beast on 1440p gaming!
A good card, but way overpriced
@@AncientGameplays very tru if the card price same with 7900 xtx I buy in a heartbeat
Fact is - PNY 4080 U can get for 1349e and 7900xtx 1299e so prices are similiar (both to high).
4080 for sure consume less power, is much colder and give much more RT performance.
7900xtx is little faster ca 6% for sure but from experience of using 6800 and 4080 I can clearly say - no matter how much I would love to say positive about amd I can’t.
With nvidia normal casual user will have easier life.
The Last Of Us is basically sign of end 8gb VRAM on 1440p
Even at 1080P lol
@@AncientGameplays yet Nvidia plan to Give RTX 4050 6gb of VRAM, just like your intro Previously #Nvidia 'The Way Gamer Meant to be Played'
Would you notice a difference in fps if you swap the Ryzen 7 7700x for the Ryzen 9 7900x?
Nah, not even with a 7800x3d besides some games
If I pair an i5 13400f with an RTX 3080, will it bottleneck?
It will be more or less the same

Allowed many kids to start pc gaming
Maybe later in the end of the month :D
Patiently waiting for a 23.4.1 video update good sir
Tomorrow
I'm planning to buy a PC with RTX 4080 - i7-13700KF - 64GB Ram. Do you think the CPU is good enough to play all games without bottleneck? on 1440p of course. I don't want to spend another 1k for a 4k monitor lol
It will be fine, just get decent ram as well
@@AncientGameplays
Thanks for telling me. The ram will be > 3200MHz DDR4. Do you think that's good?
I found a good one DDR5 6000MHz. I'll get that one instead, 3200 is too slow for this PC.
Thanks for this im extremely late but better late then never
Thanks
I have the same Suprim X. Together with my Ryzen 7 7800x3d my performans superB.
Hey ancient gameplay, can you do video showing how to setup msi afterburner for performance overlays?
Hey, watch wolfgang video on that
is there any coil whine in ur suprim x 4080?
Almost none, even overclocked
Hey Fabio, whats up, great video as always. I recently got a 6750xt and I am very happy with it. One issue i had was SAM causing major stuttering is games like apex legends and nfs unbound. I have disabled it and the problem is gone, high fps smooth gameplay. Why is this happening any ideas ? I have updated my GPU and chipset drivers as well as microsoft drivers. Downloaded latest bios for motherboard which is 1.2.0.8 AGESA. I guess i'll settle like this.
I downloaded AMD modded drivers and it was 🤯 thanks
Hey in your video about how to update drivers you mentioned how important it is to update chipset drivers where you directly called me out because ive never done it lol. Now that being said how do I know when should I update chipset drivers? Ive updated them after I watched your video but how do I know when I need to update them again?
Check from time to time on thr website
Hey one question, is the r7 7700x also a good pair with a 3080 or 3080 ti?
Yes

Cpu/ram bottleneck

I noticed you only tested MSFS 2020 in High settings not ultra
Yes, ultra settings are useless in most games
Im really on the fence to get the 4080 but the price is the only thing holding me back honestly I would love to get the rx 7900xtx but the power consumption and temp is a major turnoff for me. 😢
What temps? Temps are perfectly fine on those cards, they do consume more though, but not that much more as people think. 7000 show the full board power, not the gpu core power
@@AncientGameplays guess I need to do more research then. Appreciate the rely 🙏 ❤️
@AncientGameplays also has there been any test for gpu core power consumption on the rx 7900xtx?
Great video but i wish you did battlefield 2042 as that game is pretty demanding , curious to see how it holds up 1440p.
parece que a parte "The ascent" está descrita errada, onde é "The Ascent (RT)" o ray tracing está desabilitado e no com dlss está habilitado mas com o próprio dlss desabilitado.

Can u do a benchmark on last of us on different gpus
That has been done by some many I believe
I thought GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 would have higher FPS. You disappoint me, Rockstar Games.
Could you test the last of us I think it's interesting because of the vram usage, a lot of Nvidia users are unhappy about the high allocation. Would be nice to get your take on the subject.

Can you do a video on why destiny 2 doesn’t work on the 7900xtx without crashing can’t find any fixes at all!!
It worked here. Check your system stability first and install chipset drivers
Is 750w power supply good enough for this build?
if it is a GOOD PSU, then yes
I want to buy this card for 1440p 144hz what do you think?
