Do you prefer instrument tracks over the standard aux tracks for SD?

Sorry for the late reply! I haven't tried using anything but Instrument tracks. I am not sure of the exact differences between the two types of tracks, but Instrument tracks have treated me well, so I have had no need to try Auxs.

Awesome! What happens when you consolidate the audio?

Hey, thanks for watching. I made that for my friends and never expected anyone else to see it haha! Glad you did!
After I split the tracks, I process each one separately, compression, eq, all that and then send them back into a drum bus. I adjust the volumes on the tracks to get what I want and throw a little glue compression on that bus. If you do everything on individual tracks right, you shouldn’t need more than that and maybe some saturation, I’d you like.

@@DutchOnBass Thanks for this. Related question, if one wanted to, how would one print them as audio to separate tracks?

@@gregorymarkel9785 if you commit the tracks, it only commits the sound routed to that track, so I committed the kick and that is all that is in there. If you are trying to get the MIDI separate, I'm not sure how you would do that other than manually. I haven't had a need to.
