Why is there never dark skin contestants in these competitions nor actress in Bollywood movies? Beauty comes in many shades. Not just fair skin.
No offense... But are you blind ?? From priyanka to manushi to anukreethy.. Everyone is dark in skin colour... Even this year miss india suman rao is also not fair in colour..

Dear.........she is the former Miss Universe.
In 1994 - Ms India went for Ms Universe and Runner up went for Ms World. Thats when Sushmita won Ms universe.
Today, Ms India goes for Ms World and runner up goes for Ms Universe.
So, it is sad that they recognized Ms Worlds here at start...but not Ms Universes'

1994 -- So the 3 girls who would win would represent India in this order: 1st - Ms Universe, 2nd - Ms World and 3rd - Ms Asia pacific.
And all three titles were won by India that year.

The division of the Femina Miss India resulted in missing out on selections of the best candidates for Miss Universe n miss world..
Till.its resorted to Femina...then the glory will return in abundance for India. ...as since 2000 there's been a drought for Miss India Universe.
Hopefully the Organisers re'combined n revamp the Pageant n be like the Past..where selections are done for MU MW..n now three more prestigious pageants. ..International etc. ..
So.many beautiful girls have gone through. ..it's seems to be the Organisers error.
Couldn't agree than Manushi would have not bought crown.

Miss world 1993 is running for president in her country jamaica and she is a parliament member.
Miss world 1966 , 2014 are successful doctors.
And we have priyanka chopra who is now an international star and a huge inspiration
