I've seen this before with guide. The rifle is carried bolt closed and without a round in the chamber. Why is that. In the rifle handing course, what is the lesson that method?
We carry a rifle without a round in the chamber because it’s safer. If a guide were to slip and drop the rifle, a chambered round could accidentally discharge. Firearm safeties should not be fully trusted, as they are mechanical and can fail. Therefore, we walk with the magazine loaded but the chamber empty. If a dangerous situation arises, the rifle can be quickly chambered and the threat dealt with.
Well done Hayden
🥳
Congratulations Hayden!
